MrsKate 5 weeks? 5 weeks? ShockShock How did that happen? I'm glad all is going well.

Moon. The house sounds amazing and you sound so happy. Smile Will it mean a shorter commute for you? Will pass your message on to MLS. So looking forward to a good gossip with her whilst our 5 kids trash my house play! Grin

CloudOfStarlings · 07/08/2014 22:29

Have an amazing time together mls and neeko! :):)
moon so exciting about the house, congrats! We're still trying to decorate ours over a year on Grin but so fab to have your own place! Hope all goes through smoothly.

Hello ladies, saw the thread pop up on active convo's so I thought id pop my head in and say hi Smile

Hope all is well in the greenhouse x

Neeko · 07/08/2014 23:36

Hey Barbie. Lovely to "see" you. How are you doing? I hear DC3 is on the way? Congratulations! Hope all is well with you and your family. How is life in the new place?

Cloud. We will be 6 years in this house come October and are finally seriously talking about decorating the living room now the DDs are less likely to wreck it You have plenty of time SmileSmile

moonmrs · 10/08/2014 21:13

Omg Barbie is back Grin come and tell us about your adventures, and congratulations, another dc Grin very excited for you!

neeko yes I totally forgot to mention, its closer to work by 10 miles, so another major plus point. Hope you had a great time with mls and the clan Smile

cloud I know we'll be the same, we have grand ideas but I know realistically it will take forever! The décor isn't to our taste, but it isn't awful so we'll change things gradually and see how it goes. Tbh to start with I don't care, I'll just be happy to have our own little place.

Barbie1 · 11/08/2014 08:47

Hello again Smile

Yes life took an unexpected turn and we found out we were unexpectedly almost three months pregnant on the same day mum found out her breast cancer was back.

It's been a very emotional time, a move to kl came up and we jumped at the chance to be a: somewhere more western and b: just a single flight away from the uk.

Some I'm currently sat in the uk at 7.5 months pregnant, desperate for good news from my mums consultant on Thursday (hoping the cancer hasn't spread) and praying a doctor will sign a fit to fly letter for the 30th of August so I can fly back to kl and start the new chapter.

Like everyhing we don't do anything by halves Grin

Love to you all x

Neeko · 11/08/2014 08:55

Wow Barbie. You certainly don't do anything by halves!
Really sorry to hear about your mUm's cancer and hope that you get good news.
Do you know whether you are having a boy or a girl?

Moon. That's great that the house is nearer work. More time with your precious boy. Smile
Had a lovely time with MLS. Love how we can chat like we saw one another yesterday rather than years ago. Both our DD1s were very competitive last time but got on like a house on fire this time. The kids were very good and the house was remarkably unscathed considering there were 5 of them! Grin

Neeko · 11/08/2014 08:55

Sorry. No idea where that random capital came from. Think I was aiming for a capital M...

Barbie1 · 11/08/2014 21:38

It's a boy neeko Smile I might still get my baby Ralph after all Wink

Neeko · 11/08/2014 21:55

Lovely. What's your new place like? Are the kids excited about a new sibling. My two often tell me they'd like another, but we are definitely finished.

Barbie1 · 11/08/2014 22:09

New place is amazing! So much room and very Malay which is a style I adore.

We said no more after two. A weeks worth of antibiotics after getting the swine flu put paid to that Hmm

Moral of the story is never trust a Korean doctor...

Neeko · 11/08/2014 22:31

Eek! But lovely that you'll soon have an armful of warm and cuddly, delicious-smelling baby. Smile
Glad the new place is nice. Hope everything goes well for you. You will need to keep us non face-bookers updated.

littlebellsmum · 12/08/2014 00:35

knock knock.... I finally got round to resetting my password and am back.

Hope everyone is well - hope your house is not too trashed Neeko but looks like the MLS's family managed to trash the hotel instead Grin

honestly will try and catch up but really need bed now...

moonmrs · 12/08/2014 19:57

Barbie so sorry to hear about your mum, will keep my fingers and toes crossed for some good news. Lovely to hear about your new ds though, it was obviously meant to be....

neeko glad to hear you had a fab time with mls and the dcs, I do love it when you can chat to a friend like that - I have friends who I see rarely but when we get together its like we've never been away.

lbm welcome back! How's things been for you? You must be in full Christmas swing by now Wink (or did I get you mixed up with neeko and cloud)

Neeko · 12/08/2014 20:11

Hello LBM and welcome back. How's things in your mad world? Wink Still running at 100mph?

Moon. I have started my Christnas shopping. Bought at least ten sticking things for the girls and presents for 5 other people. Blush It's by panic about going back to work after the long summer hols and wondering how I'll fit it all in that makes me do it! Can recommend the no more socks app as discussed on the Christmas bargain thread for keeping track of all your presents and budget.
Yes I do know it's only August but school goes back on Friday. Sob. Hmm The girls have been great fun this summer and I'm really going to miss them. Think this has been my favourite school holiday ever. Smile

Neeko · 12/08/2014 20:12

Christmas and stocking. Bet you are all glad I'm not teaching your children. BlushConfusedGrin

littlebellsmum · 12/08/2014 21:30

neeko Christmas!!! No, not yet here. Just finishing getting the back to school stuff sorted before we go on holiday next week as when we get back, the kids will be back to school including BB. BB can't go to the school as her older siblings as it's over subscribed and we are not in catchment which has been a bit hard to deal with. She also doens't know anyone there as her friends are going to the older dc's school. But she is excited about school and I do love her teacher so, sure it will be fine but it does make me sad.

Had a lovely weekend break with dh and BB only this weekend as older dc;'s are at grandparents. She was such good company - am really missing her as she is away at the other grandparents this week.

However next Wednesday, we are off to France for 2 weeks camping - v excited. Need to go and write THE list!

Neeko · 12/08/2014 22:31

Oh LBM, camping in France sounds fab.
Can't believe the wee one is off to school. Seems so funny that she's younger than my dd2 and going whilst mine won't be til next year. Such a shame raft she's not going to the sane school as her siblings but I'm sure she'll be fine.
Happy list writing Smile

4everhopeful · 12/08/2014 23:31

Ah lovely bit of activity on the thread!

LBM & Barbies returns! Congrats on an imminent new addition barbie..! Very sorry to hear about your mum though. .

Lbm hey busy lady! Aw crap BBs got to go to a different school. . That's harsh.. your hols sound fab.. how's the list? We just booked Lanzorote for school hols next year.. Not been away during the 6 weeks, our hols in May seem forever ago! Everything else good with you?

Neeko!?! Christmas?!? Wow lady you're so organised! Mind you, can't believe you guys are back to school next week already, being our first 6wk hols, actually yes, natural progression on return would indeed be plan Christmas! Smile So sweet you and your girls had such a lovely one.. Nice to hear you & mls had a lovely catch up too.. hope she's in full health now?

Moon very exciting about your new home! Bet the first room you make your mark on will be your little man's! Wink Great you don't have lots to do initially though. . I got my place 14yrs back as a single girl, and it was an old couple's house with floral wallpaper and brown carpets! Had to completely refurb & took months!

Cloud you enjoying your last week's of the hols with your boys? Bet S will miss J being at school all day? Know Teddy will miss Summer. .

Our 6wks not quite as planned, Summer had horrible gastro bug lasted all last week, finally started recovering over the weekend, thought we could resume plans/outings, then my poor boys now got it. .. been really horrible and heartbreaking seeing both so poorly. . It's been a real nasty one.. desperate to resume normality and get out of the house again. .

Neeko · 13/08/2014 16:35

Oh no 4ever to the DCs being ill. I hate it when they are poorly and vomiting is the worst of all. Hmm Hope everyone is on the road to recovery now.

littlebellsmum · 13/08/2014 22:00

yuck to sick children, 4ever. List is going well - looks like we are taking nothing as my mind is blank. Weather forecast isn't so good, so might need more jumpers than planned - unimpressed.

Need to make some cakes and meals before we go but first we have the festival this weekend and BB isn't coming - was too bad last year and so isn't coming this year. But as she keeps talking about the festival, we can't mention the F word as we're going without her!.

Hope the tiddlers are better soon, 4ever

bluesatinsash · 13/08/2014 22:32

Hi everyone!

MMs dd2 started school today (lovely photo on FB) which made me promise myself to post tonight so here I am. I remember meeting MM in Glasgow a week before we both fell pregnant - must have been the bench we sat on in George Square Grin

Big non FB waves to barbie another boy - lovely Smile. Praying you hear good news about your Mum x

mrsmoon congrats on your new house fab it's nearer your work too!

LBM my two won't be at the same school either due to when we moved, full classes, re-zoning etc etc both schools are close to us and are both fab but it does make me Sad that they won't be there together. Saying that though my big sisters ignored me at primary and high school!!

4ever hope little T is on the mend soon and you can get out and about!

neeko can you believe the holidays are almost over, it's been a quick seven weeks?! Glad you had a fab break with your girls and are going back to your 'day' job! I agree it's strange that the 2010 English babies will be going to school before ours!

We've had a lovely summer break, the weather's been pretty good for Scotland and we holidayed up in Aviemore and at the caravan again. Have taken the plunge though and booked for Cyprus next summer. 14 nights - first time in 10 years!

Waves and love to everyone else xx

Neeko · 13/08/2014 22:42

Hey blue. Long time, no see Smile. We really must get a wine night out this year.
How's everything with you? Primary 4! Hard to get your head around it, isn't it? Word on the street is that DD1's teacher this year is awful Hmm. I can see me raising my head above the parapet shortly. Wee soul is quite worried about it. Think it could be a make or break year...
Lovely news on MM Smile

LBM enjoy the festival. Hope the weather reports are wrong for your holiday.

Neeko · 14/08/2014 19:46

Finally sold both my pram and my last buggy today. Feeling a little bit richer but also a little bit sadder that the baby years are behind us. Hmm There's simply no pleasing some folk! Grin

bluesatinsash · 14/08/2014 21:38

neeks that is SO spooky I sold the Maclaren buggy yesterday! To a very handsome bloke called Mark who I came over all unnecessary with Blush my boys were like Confused Grin. Canny sell the big Mamas and Papas for love nor money tho'!

Did have a moment of "Awww" but we're using the money to do up the boys bedroom and the next stage in their lives. Although B has his own room they want to share #bless so we're selling DS1's cabin bed, DH's running machine (!), various odds and sods. Up cycling I think it's called Smile

I know re: P4, middle school, not an infant, DS1's delighted as he gets to play on the grassy part of the playground Smile.
