Donor IUI?

Hello! Just looking for a group/quiche to join but not really sure where I fit it.

I'm intending to go it alone and have Donor Insemination by IUI starting in January providing my investigations all come back clear.

Any one else in the same boat, or has done it alone in the past?

That is really interesting... So the fact that I have been travelling non-stop may not have impacted result - that is good to know. I am still going to try and take it easier this time... i just got 2 urgent pop ups though that may require me to travel again so we will see....
Business trip going well.... Long days though - at least I am in the same hotel for the nights I am away :) weather is not great in Paris either.
One of my bosses paid me a really nice complement today and said it looked like I had lost weight.... I hope so - it makes not drinking any alcohol for nearly TWO months more worthwhile!!

Yeh she was like you don't need to hang upside down like a bat hoping the swimmers go to the right place,said moving around is better and apparently no amount of stress will make any difference :)
I think I've found the clinic I will be attending, spoke to one of my two options today and they were lovely, and not in a fake I'm selling a product type lovely,they seemed genuine and I emailed late last night and they wanted to ring to explain rather than just send an email. So think I'm heading towards them. So excited! Just need to win the lotto!!!

This sounds really encouraging - the clinic decision is so important. Dont forget to check success rates!
Now in terms of winning the lottery - make sure you always buy a ticket (btw this is my plan too) - you have to be in it to win it!

Haha yeh I don't do the lotto-too expensive!lol.got a meeting with financial advisor in a few weeks so least I will know a bit more about future mortgage payments and whether I can save anything more each month-argh life!!!
Yeh the clinic I've chosen has results from 2013 and only 1person had donor iui so not helpful at all ??

I am starting to get pressure from my family to jump to ivf but I want to give iui a few more tries... So tomorrow I have a day 13 scan. So far I have one dominant follicle which was at 12mm yesterday. Lets hope this one makes it over the 16mm minimum and all the stars align etc! I went down with a horrid cold on Saturday and have been dosing up on my usual remedies - blackcurrant lemsip and fizzy paracetamol with codeine.... Not sure if any of that is allowed when preggers?

Paracetamol is fine when pregs :) maybe not the codeine tho lol. Hope u feel better soon!
Only you know what is right for you,as long as you have the money to do both if need be then that's all you need to think about, you have ur reasons for going iui and family/friends won't necessarily understand fully. Fingers crossed 3rd time lucky :)

So all systems are go (again)!!!! I had a day 13 scan today and the follicle is 18mm and lining 11mm - I have never bad either so big! I am having IUI tomorrow morning!!! I am completely exhausted as work has been really intense so far and have been grappling with cold... But now I am so wired I am not sure I will sleep!!
I have injected Ovitrelle... Am having a cinnamon tea to boost blood flow...
Just finished watching last in Twilight Saga - after festing on all other parts on sunday... So am in romantic mood...

Well it was niether as horrific as first attempt nor as speedy as second - had a lovely Spanish doctor. I saw the magic potion - which apparently was of a very high quality - go in and now I am trying to take things easy... Although went from clinic to lunch with my mum... So lots of travel as usual!

Anyhoo.... i carried on checking for lh surge as IUI was done before I surged and I am now on day 6 of lh surge... Tests keep coming back positive... Very bizarre... I never checked before the initial surge before so maybe this is just normal for me... I feel like I am a science experiment!

I don't really understand what all of it means but sounds positive,just over a week to find out. Keeping everything crossed

Thank you! I just read up on some other threads... Can be a sign of pregnancy.... But I will control myself and try and stay neutral, yet hopeful... I am once again getting pre-period symptoms....

I have my usual pre-period things - like sore boobage. Have quite sick today but I think all in my head :(

I took this week off work as I have loads of pending holiday and I had such grand plans but it seems like time is slipping through my hands like sand.... Anyway it is nice to be at home to sort through mountains of paperwork and do some home cooking. Friday will be here soon and I will know....

Thank you so much. I almost don't want to test tomorrow as if it is negative I will be filled with sorrow... Last night I had a terrible night thinking that once again I am not pregnant... And this is only my third try...
I feel very heavy "down there" like there is an ache but not period pain like... Blimey this is exhausting! Why did I wait so long???? I am soooooo angry at myself. I always dreamed of having a large family... Too late :(

Don't give up, you still have options if it's negative(I know it must be sole destroying!!!)...I imagine some of the symptoms are similar anyway.keep your chin up,don't give up until you have to xx

Full of sorrow 😰 test had a faint double line but I think it is just wishful thinking. I will buy a second test this afternoon as there is always hope.
