MrsB2013 · 11/10/2013 12:34

Hi Writer how are you? How many weeks are you now?

Choccywoccydodah · 11/10/2013 12:39

So am not spotting in my knickers still but a tiny tiny tiny bit of really really pale brown around my cervix, god I'm so confused it's annoying me!!

Writerwannabe83 · 11/10/2013 12:40

Hi MrsB - I'm 16 weeks today, how time flies! I'm still hovering to watch all my ex bus-buddies get their BFPs! Me and baby aren't too bad, had a very big bleed 2 weeks ago, lots of fresh red blood, it scared the life out of me and had to go into hospital. Baby was ok though thankfully but it means I'm signed off sick again. My Boss doesn't want me in work until after my 20 week scan (so they can see if there are any explanations for my bleeds) and until after I have seen my Consultant. So, until the 11th of November I'm a lady of leisure. We are having a private scan tonight and are hoping to find out the sex! Exciting Smile

mrswalsh77 · 11/10/2013 12:44

Lucy - really sorry to hear that. Happened to me a couple of months back and really wrecks with the head! The way I saw it was, it was good to know everything worked but a shame it didn't stick! Gave us hope that we would conceive eventually, best thing is to try again straight away.
Enjoy your wine :) and keep smiling xx

mrswalsh77 · 11/10/2013 12:47

Ladies.... I'm not 2 days late and still no sign of AF. Bit if a crampy tummy which could be AF about to put in an unwelcome appearance!!
Should I test again in the morning if she doesn't show up today? Got a BFN on Wednesday morning. This 2ww is driving me insane!!!

wispaxmas · 11/10/2013 13:16

Still catching up, but in answer to babymama, you can have symptoms between ov and implantation, but they won't necessarily be symptoms of pregnancy. Sore, bigger boobs, feeling flushed, etc, they can all be symptoms of a higher level of progesterone, which you have every cycle. Many women experience them without even realising it, until they start TTC and suddenly every twinge or pain is due to pg. i went mad with symptom spotting a couple cycles ago and convinced myself I was pg, when I wasn't. That's not to say that if you feel these symptoms you're not pregnant, but it can be a horrible way of getting your hopes up time and time again. I didn't have any different symptoms when I got my bfp than I'd had in previous cycles. The ravenous appetite and fatigue didn't hit for another week!

wispaxmas · 11/10/2013 13:20

Finally caught up! Sorry to those AF has gotten!

MrsWalsh, test again in the morning, it's been a few days since your bfn, what kind of tests are you using? Good luck Grin

mrswalsh77 · 11/10/2013 13:38

Think it was a clear blue one - the one that says "not pregnant" in the window.
Which kind should it buy for tomorrow?!?
Any advice greatly appreciated. Are some more sensitive than others?

SoMuchFruit · 11/10/2013 13:40

Back again, so sorry to hear that Lucy Sad Glad you have a supportive DP and are able to carry on ttc straight away. Hope you have a happy weekend with your family to take the edge off the disappointment.

Sorry to all the other AF casualties. It's crap. Poor DH is a bit upset here. He's suggesting he sees a doctor! I said it was a bit early for that as it's only cycle 3 (technically 2 as the first cycle ttc was a random just-decided-to-ttc-again one and we were vague about the whole thing and were only able to DTD on the wrong dates by about a week - so that was never going to work out!)

Can someone shed some light on checking your Cervix? Does anyone do this ? Told a close friend this morning that we were ttc and she swears that checking your cervix for 'S.H.O.W' is the way forwards.. they were ttc for a while (12mnths or so) and finally someone told her about that and they got a BFP first, 2nd and now 3rd times using that as a guide.

sazzlehopes · 11/10/2013 13:54

Ooh somuch what is this checking your cervix thing? I could do with any help after ttc for 10+ now... Can you ask her for more deets, maybe not a demonstration...haha.

And MrsWalsh hi sorry, newish round here, I think the clearblue are the most accurate from my personal experience, but I've stopped testing now unless I really need to and just wait fro AF to turn up. Even though it is annoying, I just can't blow the budget on more tests when I'm spending money on peeing on other sticks every day it feels like!! Good luck for tomorrow though, the 2w countdown is a nightmare isn't it?

But anyone recommending good pt cheapies be good to know about!

lucyfluff · 11/10/2013 14:15

Thanks writer and mrs walsh, thats how we are looking at it too. Im lucky hes so supportive Grin back to babymaking Grin

mama31 · 11/10/2013 14:28

Ok so I've been busy since this morning.....and so much to catch up on!!!

So sorry to the ladies af got :( really hope next month is your month!! So difficult tho for you all now so treat and pamper yourselves (lots of wine) you deserve it!!

Lovely lucyfluff, oh my what can I even say :( I'm so gutted for you but very glad DH is supportive and is there fore you. Glad you are ttc straight away as well, it's great to see you are positive and getting on with it despite this huge hurdle. Also can't wait to hear your funny ttc stories and already wondering where next you will hide the cup of pee lol in all seriousness though good luck!!! And take care of yourself! And of course we will have you back on the bus.......sit right beside me and keep me sane in 2ww :)

Hello onelife....thanks for the welcome to 2ww!!! eeeeek!!! Hope your doing ok my friend?! X

Hello writer and wispa!! :) hope you are both doing good in your pregnancies! Great to hear from you both :)

flymo79 · 11/10/2013 14:44

hey all - would also love to know more about checking cervix. feeling a bit bummed out. does anyone else get that crashing horrid realisation that it's just all about one flipping day in the month? I was hoping (naively) we'd have a bfp by chrimbo, now thinking about it that was mad, but really if I'm out for this month as I suspect (as haven't been able to dtd half as much as had hoped this month) then it's only nov, and really we need to get it bang on the right day. last few cycles we've been dtd every other day, using cheapo OPKs, and nothing. So, hmmmmmm, all a bit depressing when you know it comes down to one day out of 30!!! GAH

mama31 · 11/10/2013 14:50

Just want to say also that I get what some of you have been saying re feeling down after ovulation. I think I prob ovulated yesterday but last night I was quite teary, have had a few things going on but nothing that would make me so teary as I'm usually well on top of things! But really felt emotional last night and a bit agitated today also.....but I am determined to stay positive and not let my emotions run away with me!!! It's just such a stressful, frustrating process and I think I am getting more sensitive to other things due to ttc playing with my emotions....i must not let it beat me though!!! :)

sazzlehopes · 11/10/2013 14:59

yes I know what you mean flymo i feel it is about getting just the right one day and also other factors too...i tell you what it is harder than you think this preggo lark. Oh to think of all the times I was worried on the pill! Ha!

Still you never know, don't write this month off just yet, and there is november. I'm trying so hard to be positive, and also not to make dtd a chore.

I'm still not sure I've ovulated yet this month. Me and the dh have been putting in more effort, god what a terrible phrase, but you know what I mean. Anyway I'm keeping my fx for me and all of us on here still holding out for the elusive bfp.
I can't tell you how good it is though to be on here and chat. Thank you ladies! SmileBlush

Choccywoccydodah · 11/10/2013 15:02

I check my cervix every day!! There's loads of sites online telling you what to do, but basically when it's a show you're a go!! Grin
I didn't fall last month bit first month post pill. Will have to see this month.
No more spotting Grin

allchatnicknamesgone · 11/10/2013 15:06

Fuck a duck. Bang on cue, about a week before AF and the 'cramps' start. I'm pretty sure I'm out not because every other month I've noted when the AF cramps start and it's about a week.

Does anyone else suffer AF cramps so far advance of their actual AF? It royally pisses me off. I've had them all afternoon now. Feel crap, but just went to sainsburys and bought some new salted caramel cookies so that should help......the weather isn't helping my mood either. I swear the roller-coaster of baby making in the summer was a little more bearable.

mama31 · 11/10/2013 15:06

I think we could all do with a funny story on here at the min...either ttc related or other....anyone anything upbeat and funny to share??? reckon we could all do with a wee giggle..... ??????

sazzlehopes · 11/10/2013 15:13

your right mama31 i'm laughed out though from the 'penis beaker' debate! how can you top that?!

also allchat i tell you what else it's freezing work sticking legs up in the air after dtd in winter! it was fine in the summer!!!

Writerwannabe83 · 11/10/2013 15:14

Erm, I was once so desperate to do a pregnancy test and die to having no other receptacle, I wee'd into a plastic bag so I could dip a stick! Grin

That's pretty funny....was pretty messy too Smile

Also, when I was younger I broke my bed during having sex - it was a metal frame one, just a single bed. It all got a bit heated and both legs at the head end of the bed snapped! Whoops! My mum came home, saw it, asked me what had happened and I blamed it on the cat Grin I'm pretty sure she didn't believe me!

She also came home one day and walked into my bedroom to find me mid-sex with my new boyfriend. - who she hadn't yet met - and it was horrendous! She absolutely screamed at us, threw his clothes at him and hollered at him, "Who do you think you are having hanky panky in middle of the day in MY house?!" Grin She then stormed out the house! That was pretty embarrassing too!!

mama31 · 11/10/2013 15:19

Haha! Writer!!!! That was funny! Oh my.....sounds like you were up to all sorts!!!! ;) I would have died if my mother caught me.....even now!!!

Allchat hope it's not af cramps try to stay positive. Where are you that the weather is so cold??? I'm pretty warm today, dressed for winter this morning and the sun has come out and is beating through my office window....so I'm sweating it out here :/

flymo79 · 11/10/2013 15:23

Ha hAAAA! writer that is a good one (who says hanky panky anyway? Austin Powers??) I was at it with DP and our bed broke a couple of months ago, it's not so funny when you have to get the power drill out at 11 at night!! but I guess that's what you get from Ikea! I've once had a guy pull off a condom and splatter his doings in my eye - not funny as it stings like hell, but comedy timing!!

Writerwannabe83 · 11/10/2013 15:25

I don't think either scenario beats the time she stripped and changed my bed for me when I was about 17 and she found my vibrator!!

I came home from college to find my stripped quilt and pillows in a tidy pile on top of the mattress with my vibrator sitting proudly on the top pillow!!

I was MORTIFIED!! Blush Grin

I found somewhere else to hide it after that Grin

Writerwannabe83 · 11/10/2013 15:26

Lol flymo at Spunky Splatter!!! Grin
