Can I jump on the bus Smile TTC #2 cycle 1.

onelifeonechance · 25/10/2013 12:57

Yeay, welcome back Disney! Smile Good to have you aboard again&glad you're feeling better. Fx for you. Thanks for the Christmas cakes, yummmmm!

DisneyDiva87 · 25/10/2013 13:02

Thanks onelife

Here's to chilled out TTCing, that is a thing right? It's not all stress and over self-pressureing is it?

lucyfluff · 25/10/2013 13:10

Afternoon!!! and welcome back Disney Smile

Glad you hopped on onelife, and thanks for asking how I am...feeling good thankyou Smile had a bit of spotting after dtd last night not sure what thats all about??!! maybe it was the wrong positionWink

BIG well done to you mama on not purchasing, Im very proud Smile and thats a good thing going for those blood tests.

Anyone up to fun weekend stuff? We have the usual food shop/boys footie and friends over for dinner sat. Just seen BBC news predicting a storm for our area on sunday or monday tho eekkkk!!!!!

onelifeonechance · 25/10/2013 13:20

I'm hoping its a thing Disney, i'm really hoping! Not sure I've experienced it yet though, apart from perhaps the innocent days of cycle number 1 before I knew too much....

onelifeonechance · 25/10/2013 13:22

Disney where are you up to in your cycle? I'm at the boring beginning bit, looking forward to some dtdeeding this weekend though Smile will try to remain chilled out&stress free yeah right

DisneyDiva87 · 25/10/2013 13:23

Hubby is away this weekend so it's just me and the dog. The dog is being super kind and preparing me for motherhood by waking me up every 2 hours and peeing in the house, I am now able to tick off mopping at 2.30am from my bucket list. I'm shutting him in the room with me tonight (with a training pad at the door for any accidents) so he can't go exploring and hopefully I'll be able to get some sleep!

AF is on her way (unless spotting the day before is a pg symptom?) so I'm going to have a lazy weekend and get to know that bottle of rum I bought 2 nights ago.

onelifeonechance · 25/10/2013 13:27

Glad you're doing ok Lucy. Is that the first spotting you've had? May well have been linked to dtd,, its so hard to know isn't it, wish we just had some insight into our own bodies sometimes, would make things an awful lot easier!!

I've not got major plans this wke but just looking forward to spending time with dh, feel like we've been racing round too much lately so will be fab just to be together doing whatever (and making a start on this months dtd sex plan!)

onelifeonechance · 25/10/2013 13:29

Bloomin AF, hope she steers clear but if not glad you've got supplies in ready Wink

Choccywoccydodah · 25/10/2013 13:54

Hi all,
Haven't read back yet so apologies if I don't comment on anything yet.

We had our dog of 11 years (aged around 4 when we got him so was approx 15) put down yesterday so I haven't been on. Hardest thing we've ever had to do. Utterly heartbroken. Our other dog has been moping around as she knows he's gone. Ds however thankfully is too young to realise. He knows he's 'gone' but he doesn't know where. He's at peace now so that's all we wanted for him. He must've been in pain as we checked his teeth and they were all black and some wobbly, but he wouldn't let us near his mouth when he was alive. He was off his food so we knew something was up.

On a plus note, back to ttc, I think I'm ovulating early. I'm on cd12 and I have an 'almost positive' on my IC. I usually get a darker line on the day I am about to ov, so I will test again this evening. If it is a positive, it will be 3 days earlier than the last 2 months. I just need my LP then to be longer. I'm wondering if it is the B6 I'm taking? I'm taking 50mg up to ov, then I will take 100mg after up til af or bfp. Fingers crossed.

Choccywoccydodah · 25/10/2013 13:57

Sorry, just checked, if it's positive tonight, it will be 4 days earlier, not 3!

sazzlehopes · 25/10/2013 14:08

Choccy I'm so sorry about your Dog, but I'm pleased your ds isn't too aware and that really now your dog is better off than being so poorly.
I'm also glad theres potential you ov early! That sounds promising-fx its your month!

Choccywoccydodah · 25/10/2013 14:20

Thank you Sazzle x

lucyfluff · 25/10/2013 14:28

Awww choccy so sad :( at least no more pain though. Good news about early ov, make sure this wkend is full of fun ;)

Yes one life, first bit of spotting in over a week since chem finally finished. I'm waiting for AF so it could be the start but no usual symptoms of that!! Il just record it on my app anyway!!

Your sex plan sounds interesting....!!!! Have fun at the wkend ;)

LePetitPont · 25/10/2013 14:41

Choccy, also sorry to hear about your dog. As you say, good to know he is at peace and free from pain now. And fx here too for early ovulation success.

Quick question.... I have been using the opk sticks this month - heading out straight from work, won't be back while 11 or so and forgot to bring one with me for some sneaky evening out poas (had visions of dragging poor husband into toilets at the bar in case of positive result!).

The question is -does it matter if i test after 8 p.m. when I get home (instructions say between 10 and 8, have been testing between 7 and 8.30) or should I buy another kit to use before I get home?

DisneyDiva87 · 25/10/2013 16:08

Choccy I'm so sorry about your dog, our dog is 12 and has a heart murmur and bronchitis, he has also started shaking violently in the evenings and we have started tablets to help that. I'm cherishing every single second because I don't know how many we have left with him. We've only had him a year and a half but I'll be heart broken when he goes. It was very brave of you to make such a hard decision but it was definitely the right one. I hope your other dog doesn't pine for him too much or for too long.

sazzlehopes · 25/10/2013 16:32

Lepetit it probably is better to test at similar times but I don't think it matters. When I fell preg with ds I swear it was the eve I came home late at 10pm poas got a smiley face and insisted we dtd that night!

flymo79 · 25/10/2013 16:39

so sorry choccy, may your dog rest in peace, and I hope you all find some solace in the fact that he is no longer in pain xxxx

mama31 · 25/10/2013 16:58

Awh so sorry for your loss choccy that's so difficult :( hugs to you!!!!

welcome back Disney!!! :) good luck!

Well DH is off work today so we are having a night in with beers, Indian and maybe a movie :) :)

Starting our "sex plan" soon as af buggers off!!! Which could be another couple of days!! But will be glad to get back to it!!!!

flymo79 · 25/10/2013 17:01

yumm, I like the sound of your indian fest mama.
Hey girls, anyone give me any help with short luteal phase? I ov quite late and have an over-30-day cycle so have worked out that my Lp is about 10 days (considered to be short I think). Does anyone else have this and do anything to help? Have read about B vitamins...

mama31 · 25/10/2013 17:09

Mine is 10 days flymo, I take 50mg b6 every day. I know others take 50mg then up to 100mg after ovulation, I might try that this month to see what happens.

It's annoying though, pure experimenting and guesswork!! Anyone else had any joy with b6?? It worked the first month and increased mine to 13 days but was back to ten this month so???? Clueless as ever!!

Choccywoccydodah · 25/10/2013 17:35

Thank you for your thoughts ladies. Dh and I are a bit better this afternoon with everything.

We'll I've done another ov test and the second line is lighter again, so am not sure if I ov'd yesterday and the lines are getting lighter or what?? I didn't test yesterday due to everything going on so I don't know. I tested the day before and didn't have a second line at all.
Will test again tonight, hopefully I haven't missed it although we did Dtd Wednesday morning.
Still haven't caught up with everyone yet.....

Bloumer · 25/10/2013 18:09

Disney lovely to have you back! Love the rum plan.

Choccy sorry to hear about your dog Flowers
If your strong-ish line is early but you had a weaker one this evg, I reckon you either missed your + yesterday and are ovulating today, or it was just a normal low surge and you'll get your strong one when you're expecting it in a couple of days. If you're OV-ing today then Weds' DTD will ensure there are swimmers waiting, but could you dtd tonight just in case? If you do OV in a couple of days then today would be in your fertile period anyway.

Lepetit I think you're fine to test late - I was opk-ing when we were abroad and had to factor in flights and a 8-hour time difference, it's not always possible to do it by the book.
