This thread is keeping me sane :) AF arrived and I joined the bus just after, and have emptied Amazon/Waterstones. Is anyone else reading the Impatient Woman or Expecting Better? For this cycle (#3 and man yes I am counting) I have clearblue digital monitors, a digi thermometer, slightly squicky knowledge of EWCM and a very willing DH at the ready. Grasping my bus ticket and hoping against hope that this is the month despite being a bit too fat (have started running, yoga and walking) and a bit too high blood pressure (have stopped eating crisps). Oh and I'm 35 too so trying not to be tooooo nervous about having shrivelled eggs because I had too much boozy fun in my 20s a slightly lower chance of my BFP. Bring on the cancellation of bus tickets for all of us :)

Had a chilled night catching up on GBBO last night in bed with cake whilst DH was away! I was also wondering about AF....have read it may take six weeks to reappear after early loss...hoping it shows up by the end of October and doesn't mess up my cycle too much!!

We're ttc#1, we got out bfp on the first cycle but mc very early. This is our first cycle since mc and I think today/tomorrow is ov day. OPKs never seem to work for me but i get a clear temp rise on my charts.

I'm excited to be here with all you ladies, lets keep our fingers crossed and see those BFPs rolling in!!

lessonsintightropes I've read the Impatient Woman's Guide front to back at least 6 times, its my favourite to dip into during the "bum on pillow" time I've read about half of Expecting Better, some very interesting stuff! I tried reading What to expect before you're expecting but didn't like it as much, are there any others that you/others would recommend?

I'm dpo 6 today, so too early for symptom spotting...BUT, have got that really disgusting metal taste in my mouth again. Bleugh! Had it last month, but that was due to pill hormones still being present - perhaps they are still floating around my system - gross!

Ladies i'm at the poas party friday - i'll be 10dpo i think. I normally have a lp of 13 days so should I use IC, frer or clearblue diggi to get the best result do you think?! I have them all in the house, so it is no bother which i crack open. I am a nightmare...I know.

Use the FRER!

Well GP chat went well, going in for blood test on cd21 to check all is in working order and check for thyroid and other things re the spotting. GP wasn't overly concerned re the spotting and said it's quite normal but also will prob decrease over time as it takes a while for hormones to regulate after the pill, in some cases 6 months!

But feel happy to get the blood test so that I can feel reassured everything is ok. Glad I made contact with the GP now! :)

Hi, i'm on CD15 today, usually ov between CD16 & CD18 in a 35 day cycle. This is a really silly question but how do I calculate the day the BFP is due? last time I just waited until AF didn't show up (19DPO). Is BFP due date the same as AF due date or literally just 14 days from ov? haha i sound totally clueless!

Hi karmalaa, I think the most accurate is from day of missed period - that's what the tests say. But depending on the test, you can get a bfp from 4 days before. So, I say base your bfp on due-date of next period, but start testing from a few days before if the desire takes you! ...or you can be like me, and a few other poas addicts (mentioning no names, ahem mama) and poas every day - just in case!!

The eta of your BFP should be the date that AF would arrive. This should also be 14 day after ovulation. Hope this helps. I'm hoping I ovulate this weekend. Not doing OPKs as I didn't want to put any stress on us this month. However I'm still temping so should work it out afterwards.

hi munday, thanks for your help too! I think i got myself confused! i also said I've got a 35 days cycle - silly fat fingers on the phone! I meant 30 day cycle so going from that BFP due on 9th Nov, now fingers crossed I ov!
