somuchfruit so sorry to hear about your animal problems, it sounds like you are doing the right thing, you just can't take the chance. For what it is worth my parents used to lie to me on a regular basis when I was little eg. your rabbit has gone to live on a farm with lots of other rabbits, they later told me it was savaging my other rabbit. Hopefully he will forget soon enough. Hugs.

Hi everyone been following thread but not posted for a while . Looks like bus is filling up fast !
So sorry to hear about the dogs. Mine is 100% part of our family , he does everything with us . I can't imagine how you must be feeling at the moment. With regards to your ds , I wonder if there are any story books out there that you could read to him to help him understand . I work with children who often have to face difficult situations and often through a character in a book they find it easier to cope with and understand . Not sure if there are any about pets but I would imagine there would be. Depending on how old your ds is .
I am on cd16 and think I may have ov'd as have been tracking cycles for last year and usually a 28-30 day cycle had ewcm on Saturday... But not temping or using opks so unsure when I actually have. Have been dtd every other day, and every day past few hoping to catch that egg at the right time !! Fx for everyone .

Aww somuchfruit that's so sad (and choccy too). What a crappy few weeks, it must be difficult thinking about ttc with that going on. Suggestion for ds, maybe a memory book? Take some pictures and keep them for him to look at if he gets sad?

Mama so glad you hopped on, hope your feeling ok? Did AF get you full flow? I don't know much about things to take re short cycle but I would prob nip to the GP for advice in the meantime. I'm sure it's just your body after pill settling down.

Sorry to hear about the dogs . Our cat is 14 and starting to show signs of ill-health, so not looking forward to that as had him since a kitten, well before we had our two boys and so they've always known him.

So I'm on CD19, DPO 5 (if I ov'd on cd14 - not doing opk/temping so no idea). Not sure if this will be my month as dh was away over peak time with work. Does anyone know chances of conception depending on which days you dtd?
We dtd CD9, then missed CD10-12, back on it CD13, 15, 16 and 18.
Do you think we blew it with the missed days?

Hi girls. I had to put my beloved dog down two years ago and it was the saddest time ever. I knew he was sick. he was my wedding present to my husband and he was our baby for the first 8 years of our marriage. I remember the vet saying to me at least we had a choice and could end his suffering. I found out later that the vets wife died from cancer the following week. It is such a hard decision to make and I really feel for ye.

Welcome to the newbies. dh is away for 2 weeks and apart from working fulltime I also have to sort out my 2 dds before and after work hence the reason I have no time to post and am doing this during lunch hour.

As luck would have it I finally got a great positive on my ic opk (I was wondering were they working at all) and dh left on sunday and wont be back until Friday night. grr!!! At least my cycle appears to be reverting to my old one and so at least next month I will strap him to the bed for the relevant times. Hee! Hee!

lh1981 ny research this month shows that as long as you are dtd every second day coming up to ovulation you should be ok. cd 9 might be a bit out (having said that I reckon my mmc was a five day sperm by my calculations) but you may have caught egg with cd 13. I think once ovulation has occurred your chances aren't too good as the spermies have to travel to the egg and it is better to have them waiting. My plan for next month is start dtd every day for the 5 days before ovulation. hth.

Thanks boo! Fingers crossed for early or late ovulation for me then. Won't be too upset as still early days for us and I knew that dh would be away so our chances wouldn't be great this month.

I've read about vitex mama, not used it though.
Re the raspberry leaf, I think you're only meant to have it up until ov, and not the 2ww.
I've actually got some capsules in the cupboard from when I was trying to get labour started last time, I wonder if I can take them?

Ooh this bus is getting busy and nice to see some familiar faces
I'm now CD6 and after declaring I wouldn't do OPKs and temping when I got a BFN last month, I am back on it! DF has even been out to get the male fertility vitamins (and a basal thermometer for me) and is stopping drinking.
Had a bit of a crappy result in his contact hearing on Monday so hopefully November will bring us the good news we desperately need!

Mama31 I was having the pesky spotting for 4 cycles after coming off the Pill (and 6 years of implant before that) but this month I went straight through to AF. I had taken a couple of Oil of Evening Primrose capsules but did wonder if it were my body finally getting used to being sans additional hormones? Fingers crossed.

Sorry to hear about the dog situations, hope all OK. Yep, I had the same "gone to live on a farm" story a few times. ALthough as we already lived on a farm, wasn't the most convincing!

Thanks LH and hislommel, it's a birthday with an 0 in it too so that'd be lovely please! She certainly played with me this month, my temp dipped (as it usually would) but she didn't decide to arrive until after lunch, cowbag.

DH has requested that we just dtd every other day so he doesn't know the precise time and therefore feel too pressured, it got to him a bit last month although I did try to hide any desperation I had for him to just do it!

I have gone through 3 ICs today - on DPO5!!!! What the actual?? In truth, I was just testing them as not used them before, but then couldn't stop looking for that pink line anyway, coz that's just how I roll

I think I will take my place at the front of the bus as I will be getting off early and getting the december bus. First time using opks and thought a dark line was positive 9 days ago as it was a cheapy ic opk. exhausted dh(who was not complain ing) and got eventually got my real positive today - at least i know what it really looks like. dh has been away since sunday and even though i asked him to end a sample down by dhl i don't think there is any hope of me getting a bfp in november!!! At least i know how to use opks. It only took 40 of them!!!!!
So while everyone is poas I will be cheering you all on with a big glass of sauvignon and playing some really cool records. Eighties of course.
