Men. They can be such idiots and also so charming with their way of putting things.

I think a full moon doesn't help. I want to rant on like a fishwife have a calm chat shout 'Man Up, this HAS to be done and we are all upset but you are not helping by going all sensitive flower on us about how mine is handling stuff atm but I think I'd make things worse if I did.. I just have to accept we are different in how we cope. I am more pragmatic about difficult decisions (poor dogs have to be PTS on Sat).

keepswimming1 · 22/10/2013 10:43

Morning everyone - I'm hoping I'm about to ovulate as dh has just left the country for at least 8 weeks so fingers crossed I can tell him at xmas (if he makes it home) that we're pregnant. :) (wishful thinking)...

Good luck everyone x

Choccywoccydodah · 22/10/2013 10:45

Men can be a pita can't they!! Hope things sort themselves soon.

Sorry about your dog somuchfruit. We are actually going to the vet today to talk to someone about having ours pts this week too. He's very old, smelly, aggressive, barky, wees in his bed, teeth rotten, back legs going, fur coming off now, so we think it's time before the cold finishes him off.
Not a pleasant thing....

Sparrowlegs248 · 22/10/2013 11:49

Morning all. Hello bloumer i replied on the other thread but will here too.....congrats on af! Only time you'll be grateful to see her! I waited 10 months after my last depo jab (so 7 months aftr it wore off) and have been very regular, if quite short cycles. 25 days until the one which was 27. I was so relieved that things were getting back to normal although it really concentrated my craziness for ttc....

Ah choccy and somuchfruit. Sorry about your dogs. Its heartbreaking and times and a difficult decision. If it makes it more bearable consider doing it at home?

lucy Sad for you. Men just don't get it sometimes.

lucyfluff · 22/10/2013 11:59

Thanks ladies. Sulking with biscuits will probably help lol...

Sorry to hear about your dogs too Sad horrible thing to have to do.

barmybunting · 22/10/2013 12:00

Sorry about your dogs somuchfruit and choccy, it's awful to get to the stage to have to make that decision. It's for the best but it doesn't make it any easier when you love them so much!

keepswimming fingers are doubly crossed for you now dh has gone. What a brilliant Christmas present that would be to tell him. I hope he does get home then for you.

Lots of people climbing on board this bus! Let's hope we pick up lots of bfps!

I dreamt about getting a bfp last night (nothing else in my head at the moment!) and was telling dh about it this morning. He gave me a very odd look as I tried to explain what bfp meant without letting on that I am a tad obsessed and thus, full of such acronyms at the moment!

DearDinah · 22/10/2013 12:56

Can I hop back on this bus (previously breakingbadaddict) I hopped off as had a bit of a wobbly that this just wasn't going to happen for me,but must be positive!!
DearDinah TTC #1 cycle 4/5 BFP ? (went a month without a period so don't actually know whether to count it?)
Good luck everyone FX

Choccywoccydodah · 22/10/2013 13:13

Notta, we're going to try and have it done at home. Last time he went to the vets he for that worked up he gave himself a nosebleed and they had to sedate him!! Hoping there is something they can give him to eat to relax him a bit otherwise he'll bite the vet even at the very end! Not a nice way to go :(
Dh has just gone in to talk to them, I'm in the car with ds as he's just fallen asleep.

keepswimming1 · 22/10/2013 13:24

Thanks barmy :)
I keep having those dreams too, I think if I talk to dh about everything I think about he would think I'm more nuts
I have it all planned - If I am lucky enough to get caught this month then I will tell everyone on xmas day :)

Choccywoccydodah · 22/10/2013 14:52

So Thursday is the day the day :( Thankfully ds is at my parents for the day and they've offered to have him overnight too. Not looking forward to it. We have another dog too who is 2, and as much as they don't really get on, I know she'll miss the old boy.

I always dream I'm pg!! I think the time I don't will be the time i am!

Sparrowlegs248 · 22/10/2013 16:34

Ah choccy, what sad time. I always think its the final kindness you can give an animal. My old dog would wee on her bed and still lay on it towatds the end, she couldn't help it and i didn't tell her off but she always had that 'i've been naughty ' look when i got home. Givw him a nice last couple of days and remember - he doesn't know and won't know anything of it.

lessonsintightropes · 22/10/2013 16:57

Hello ladies, this will be my first bus (but not first cycle...) can I join you? I am ttc #1, cycle 3, bfp due 18th November.

I brought Biscuit Biscuit Cake Cake [tea] and have some Wine hidden in my handbag for Aunt Flo.

VJONES1985 · 22/10/2013 19:34

Sorry to hear about your doggies :-( I've been rushed off my feet at work today as we've got Ofsted in at the moment.

Been trying not to think about ttc too much this week, as I'm only 7dpo. I can't shake this horrible feeling, though. Ever since I was a kid, as far back as I can remember, I've been convinced (just 'known') that having a baby is not going to be easy for me. I have no basis for this but I just can't ignore it.

violetsareblu · 22/10/2013 21:49

Can I jump on board? I have been lurking at the bus stop for a few weeks waiting to have my mirena out and today was the day so we are now ready to start trying. I have no idea what my cycle is doing so we have decided to try the relaxed approach for the next few months and see what happens. Well that's the plan, in reality I will start obsessing about it all very quickly and will be far from relaxed!
So this is me violetsareblu ttc#2, cycle 1, bfp due ??

MundayCakes85 · 22/10/2013 21:53

Evening ladies, sorry to hear about your dogs Choccy and Fruit. It's a very difficult time- pets are a very big part of my family so I understand how upset you must be.
Just finished watching the Bake Off, definitely motivated me to apply next year, although its filmed in July and OBVIOUSLY I'll be about to pop then as I'm definitely going to get my BFP this moth Smile
Positivity is my word this cycle. Still temping but not doing OPKs as don't want to put too much pressure on us.
Hope everyone is cozy indoors and out of the horrible thunder and lightning x

WhiteWolf · 22/10/2013 23:17

Hi! This is my first ever msg here! I've been trying to convince my partner for years to have a baby and I really saw my future black. He's finally agreed and we'll start TTC 1 in Nov!!! I am very excited to get in the bus :) Good luck to all! :)

englishteacher78 · 23/10/2013 06:28

@v oh no! OFSTED. You poor thing. I've been alarmingly lucky so far in my career. I'm in my 11th year as a teacher and I've only been through OFSTED once. We do work hard to keep them away though. I'm a wreck in a normal observation! I would really not be able to contemplate TTC if those darlings were in!

SoMuchFruit · 23/10/2013 08:51

So sorry Choccy Sad It's really really difficult. They really are members of the family. Will be thinking of you on Thurs. We are heartbroken and pretty inconsolable. Not sure what on earth I am going to tell DS. One of my close friends is our Vet so she is coming to ours on Sat so the dogs are not distressed in any way.

He's having a difficult couple of weeks and got upset this morning as today we wean our foal and the mare has to go to a friends' house for a while until the foal and his new foal friend settle down. Poor DS is unusually distraught about this - I know why though. His very tame pet sheep died last week (yes, 2+2=4. Two of our family dogs of 7yrs did it. He does not know this) and now more animal upheaval Sad

We're having a really hard time, animal wise, atm.

In ttc-land I am fairly sure I either have Ov or am just about to. As you can imagine it's not exactly sexy time in our house atm so I'd think that's gone out of the window.

Sorry for being such a misery-guts this morning Sad

SoMuchFruit · 23/10/2013 08:52

He's having a difficult couple of weeks = DS not DH btw.

Sparrowlegs248 · 23/10/2013 09:08

Ah somuchfruit how awful! Its hard enough to make that decision when they are unwell let alone as a result of something like that. Safety has got to be a priorrity though.

Good luck with ofsted VJ.

Welcome newbies. This bus will start to pick up speed in a few days - destination BFP!! Its still lazily pootling around picking folk up.

(i always imagine it being in poostman pat land for some reason, and a cronky old vintage bus......)

SoMuchFruit · 23/10/2013 09:38

The bus thing has amused me Notta! For some reason I picture a double decker London bus, no idea why!

It's dreadful about the dogs. They are family pets who are well trained and socialised. No obv reason for the attack either. They are well used to all animals incl sheep. It was sudden, savage and totally out of character Sad. I've spent the last week frantically talking to trainers, behaviourists etc etc and it's always the same answer. No chance of rehoming them either. As you say though, safety has to be the first priority. Hard as it is.

SoMuchFruit · 23/10/2013 09:39

Actually, has anyone got any advice about how to handle this with DS ? I am totally at sea here. He's 4.

flymo79 · 23/10/2013 09:41

one ticket for flymo please, I can feel AF on her way, really crampy grumbly tum. Annoying as I'm on CD32! thought it might've been the month for me but I just know next time I go to the loo AF will be there a-waiting!!

Sorry for your animal sadnesses fruit xxxxx

mama31 · 23/10/2013 09:57

Hello ladies I hope you are all well! I haven't had a chance to catch up properly yet but just wanted to ask a quick question as you are all such a fountain of knowledge....

Have any of you tried vitex?? And if so does this stop pre af spotting?? I already take b6 but just looking to try something else. Let me know if you have any tried and tested ideas for short cycles/short LP and spotting?? Think I'm also gona get some red raspberry leaf tea as it's meant to be good for the uterus.

Guess I should grab a seat while I'm here (grabs 2, 1 for onelife when she hops on)

Mama31 ttc 2, cycle 5, BFP due 15th Nov

.........here we go again!!!!!!

Love and luck to you all ladies!!!!

P's hugs to lovely Lucy, DH stands for dickhead on this one ;)

flymo79 · 23/10/2013 10:14

hey mama my friend who has short cycles and short LP says she went straight to the doc's to get her bloods done, she found out she had a thyroid prob and as soon as she started taking the remedy she got her BFP... could be worth checking out as hormones may be the prob.
good luck! xxxxx
