Here we go again.....

The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 6+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooooh aren’t we strict!

barking I wasn't allowed to celebrate Halloween either! Mum said it made Jesus upset and satan laugh. Funnily enough I've never even dressed up for it, even now lol

rp is it that we do baby showers bad or not at all? FYI the baby shower I planned rocked even though it pained me to do it immediately before my iui

BlindKitty · 05/10/2013 19:31

barking know I haven't been through anything like what you have but I'm sure the ridiculously long road to ttc was made 100 times easier by the berries. One of my great friends is having a terrible time ttc atm and I keep telling her to join us but she won't even try it as she's been put off by 'baby dust' type threads

RevoltingPeasant · 05/10/2013 19:56

Sorry just realised how rude that bit of my post probably sounded Blush Blush Blush

Just, people on here always go on about how tacky baby showers are. But where i grew up, you don't host them yourself and it's a lovely way for other women to celebrate the imminent arrival of a baby, give the mum some small useful pressies and spoil her a litte.

Anywhoooooo massive hijack. Sorry! Opk showing faintish line tonight, CD14 so hopefully it's all systems go.

Barking sorry about AF. Is there anything one can do to bring it on? Suppose not..... Flowers

FeatherFeather11 · 05/10/2013 20:25

barking it sounds like your road has been long and I have everything crossed for you that you get what you dream of soon. Perhaps if your af doesn't arrive in the next week you could talk to your doc about Provera?

I know I'm still a newbie here, but I've felt so much better about stuff since meeting you berries. It's incredible that a group of strangers can connect and talk about the most personal thing in the world openly and without judgement. Thank you Flowers

Have a lovely Saturday evening all. On my way to a friends' birthday party. Wasn't going to drink but af is still here and I figure a Wine or two won't kill me.

BlindKitty · 05/10/2013 22:00

rp you didn't sound rude! I just re-read my post and it seemed like I was offended but I just tend to talk with a sarcastic tone! I love baby showers! Got invited to a posh one yesterday (afternoon tea at hotel du vin courtesy of the parents). Although I expect it will just be a few pineapple on sticks and sausage rolls at mine for mine lol

Bunnygirlie · 06/10/2013 00:42

Hello all!

Been to big family party tonight (DHs family) luckily I didn't get the when are you having kids question, people must have given up on us!

SiL put on FB earlier that she is selling her buggies, guess she has given up on us too! Drank a lot of pink Winetonight to make up for it!

^^

I had a small glass of wine with my meal last night, then one small glass of wine at the pub. I have a hangover. This is not fair! ^^ Maybe cocktails are the way forward. Hmm Must get out on the bike to clear the hangover before setting down to Sunday afternoon lesson planning....

Bunnygirlie · 06/10/2013 09:19

I'm on the hangover hammock too! Prosecco and wine last night!

Sooooo.... Rides into thread on the Toboggan of Too Much Information!

DH meds which are designed to not give him a raging headache sort of work. They, ahem, help, but not brilliantly and so there was, ahem, not much.

Still I take what I can get. Every little helps. You only need one. And so forth.

Sort of positive opk line this morning so I think I am or will OV soon??? It's weird because it was so clear last month, if late, but this month my temp goes up and down. Hmmmmm.

We'll try again tomorrow! Before I climb off the Toboggan: how often do people without our ishoos dtd during your fertile period?

BlindKitty · 06/10/2013 10:24

rp don't feel you have to answer this question out loud but if dh is ok dtd erm by himself (not sure whether his issues are psychological) then maybe iui would be worth considering?

Bunnygirlie · 06/10/2013 12:10

Houston we could have a problem! Starting to feel the early signs of AF but my op is Wednesday!!!!! If AF is like usual it is due Friday, later if it's like last month!

Aaaaaaaaagh

RevoltingPeasant · 06/10/2013 14:01

Oh Bunny, oh nooooooo!! FX it will hold off.

Kitty it is an option I have considered. I mean, as as far as I know we don't need any drugs or similar as I seem to OV just fine and have an okay luteal phase. It's literally just the mechanics of it. We may try turkey bastering in a few months but we are giving normalsex a chance first.

I think the issue is, we can have this, but not that many times a month, and I'm trying to work out if we are anywhere near the average and therefore have a chance doing it this way.

Thundercatsarego · 06/10/2013 15:11

Afternoon all.

rp I reckon this bfp we probably did it 3 or 4 times in the window and last time (mmc) 2-3 times. Hope that's helpful!

Bunnygirlie · 06/10/2013 15:17

RP I hope so too!

OP posts:
RevoltingPeasant · 06/10/2013 17:11

Thanks Thunder! Hmm that sounds like we are not so far off the mark as manage two and sometimes three times a cycle. Going to make DH saddle up tomorrow night....

barkingtreefrog · 06/10/2013 18:22

RP there are plenty of people who get upduffed having only dtd once in the cycle Envy so don't stress about it (we all know stress doesn't help Wink) ^^

RevoltingPeasant · 06/10/2013 18:37

Oh gosh Barking that is where we have been going wrong!!

Wink

My mum did actually suggest I shouldn't track OV etc as it would just make me stressed Hmm

RevoltingPeasant · 06/10/2013 18:39

And it really does make me feel better as I always read about people who dtd every day from the day AF finishes, and despair, thinking we can never do that.... So good to know not everyone does.

Anyhow, leaving before I kill thread anymore.....

BlindKitty · 06/10/2013 18:53

rp I know I'm in the 'Iui appreciation club' atm and sure It wouldn't work for everyone but it may be worth it with you. I'm guessing they'd still give you the trigger shot (so you released your egg at the right time). Can totally see why you'd want to try natural methods first though and it's great that the meds are working

Re tracking I found it helped me retain focus even if I never actually did conceive naturally

Bunnygirlie · 06/10/2013 19:13

Evening all, Whassup?!?

OP posts:
Boodle9 · 06/10/2013 21:17

Evening. I'm sat in despair as I have no planning for maths next week. Even worse, I've just seen the new Johnson's Baby advert. It made me very Sad.

Now tell me to get off MN and do some work, please!

Bunnygirlie · 06/10/2013 21:21

I am torn, do I tell you to jog on and do some work or stay and keep me company Wink

Bad baby adverts Sad

OP posts:
barkingtreefrog · 06/10/2013 21:53

I'm still on the laptop Boodle and still haven't got more than 2 numeracy lessons done.... I have however done stuff for the wedding that really didn't need doing until February but was far more interesting than planning....

Boodle9 · 06/10/2013 22:36

Lol! OK, I now have two maths lessons done and I'm desperate to finish the 3rd as it will be for a cover teacher on Wednesday. I remember the whole 'distract myself with wedding' thing clearly. I then replaced it with excitedly googling pregnancy stuff and well, nearly 3 years later. MEH!

Hope you've at least enjoyed doing the wedding stuff! Just wing it in the numeracy lessons after Tuesday! Grin. (Or distract them loads while they're working so you have to carry on for an extra day...)

Bunnygirlie · 07/10/2013 09:04

Morning berries!

Well the witch arrived overnight Angry at least she should be nearly gone on weds as I don't have long periods. Will see what the pre op assessment lady says this morning, I really hope it can go ahead!
Didn't think I should take ibuprofen so I am in pain Sad and didn't sleep well as worried.
So my usual 27-29 day cycles have gone haywire, last month 32, this month 24, I guess it's the stress affecting them.

Sorry its all me me me, it might be a me week lol.

Have a good Monday peeps!
