Your last thread got somewhat derailed so I thought I would treat you to a lovely shiny new place full of real open fires, fluffy blankets and an aga for baking bread and warming soups and stews. Back on with the job in hand ladies, lets have a round up of who's doing what and when.

OP posts:
Munxx · 05/01/2014 18:44

Not necessarily musical mine never got properly dark but I did what they said swi wise and well you know the rest!
You might find though that the line does get darker it depends on the batch of tests and the dye I think.

Good luck!

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 05/01/2014 19:36

Yay for the line on the OPK, Musical! And hurray for Dino, Loopy and, in the not too distant future, Rubber, for being back in the game!

Geek and Cups, ooooh, it's all getting close! Best of Brooking luck to you both. I am also missing Jillian, Maybe - it is weird to be in January and chock-ful of New Year's Resolutions but not be starting to Shred. I do have a pregnancy exercise DVD which I have never even opened kicking around somewhere - maybe I should try that instead. After a couple of long walks this weekend I'm starting to feel the first twinges of the dreaded SPD, grr, so any exercise might help.

Scarlett, good luck with your new job tomorrow! DH starts a new job on Tues and he's very nervous. Hope yours is lovely!

12 week scan on Tues at 11.40, hurray! I will be 13 weeks exactly and I hope the scan doesn't put my dates back.

musicalmrs · 05/01/2014 20:43

Thanks for the knowledge Munx! We'll see what happens :) We're attempting to SWI every other day, so the date doesn't matter, just wanting to identify if I do ovulate or not!

Too, that's so exciting! Will be brooking lots for you. Ooh must go and add some supportive brooking for Trix for tomorrow.. take care of yourself SPD wise.

DinoSnores · 06/01/2014 10:01

Well, it looks like we've got our first BFP of the year on FB! Let's hope the rest of us follow on from her good example!

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 06/01/2014 11:47

Wow, do we? Grr, why can't I get FB to load? Who is it?

musicalmrs · 06/01/2014 12:13

Exciting :) The first of the quad hammers maybe?

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 06/01/2014 13:32

I am not in the Fb group, who is it? Feeling bit weird, 2 years ago this last week I got my BFP for ds2, and i so want another but DH still in the middle of a wobble, even though he's always known I want 3 or 4 children and we had talked about it several times over the last year as if it was a given that we would have number 3 this year. I think I am due to ovulate around 10th-12th Jan so need sex ASAP if to stand a chance of a girl assuming shettles method is right, anyone got any ideas on how to get him over his wobble? Has really thrown me, and not sure how best to resolve it...

ControlGeek · 06/01/2014 13:41

Yes, us non-fb-ers need to know!

loopy maybe try easing the pressure a little? (Not saying that you are pressuring him, but maybe he's pressuring himself through overthinking things). Explain that it's not always a given that things will happen straight away and maybe you could both spend some time in a 'not trying, not preventing' type of way? In the meantime put something positive in place to ease the financial burden (assuming it's only financial that he's concerned with) such as a savings account to build towards mat leave/whatever.

ControlGeek · 06/01/2014 13:46

Sorry loopy I meant that last sentence to be a suggestion with a ? at the end, not a . - that's what I get for doing work in the middle of writing an mn post!!!

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 06/01/2014 14:34

Thanks Geek, but i am one of those people you might hate who fell pregnant first month of trying for both our ds's and we weren't even trying when i fell pregnant last September (i fell pregnant whilst breastfeeding before AF had returned, but was lost v v early) so it would be hard to persuade him that it may take a while. Spreadsheets might be the way forward, although I'd need to use some creative accounting as we have more going out than coming in at the moment, and I am drawing from a lump sum from selling my clients to supplement things. I get another lump sum in 12 months though and if I set up a cake baking business I can register as self employed again to get maternity allowance, or could look for proper work which would bring in plenty of money but my old industry only has full time jobs, which is why I had been avoiding that path as it would tear me apart to have to work full time and leave my boys, but if I knew it was only till Sept and I'd then have a year or more at home again then I might be able to cope with that notion more. Selling my house or winning the lottery are my other ideas, but neither of those seem to be happening fast enough!

musicalmrs · 06/01/2014 17:01

Geek and Loopy, it's Purple with a BFP!

Geek how are you? :) In awe of your fantastic crafty skills.

Loopy, sounds tricky. I'm afraid I have no suggestions. DH and I have always agreed on two, although he did need a little bit of pushing to agree to TTC when we started in Nov. Spreadsheets sound like a good idea - if that's what he's wobbling about it you should set out all the options and show him that it's feasible? We had to do similarly, as money's always a little unreliable in my industry!

I think I ovulate sometime around the same time - 11/12th ish - if my cycles are back to normal, which they might not be. Are you supposed to SWI early in the fertile period for a girl then? We're not bothered whether we have a boy or a girl so deliberately aren't trying any of the methods - but interesting none the less!

Nothing exciting going on here other than a lot of backache. Hoping my back problems aren't playing up, as that wouldn't go hand in hand with being pregnant.

TheLittleFriend · 06/01/2014 22:08

Hi everyone, just stopping by to wish you all a Happy New Year and lots of luck with ttc in 2014. I hope you are all on your lucky cycle Smile

Dino I am especially excited to see a fellow triple whammier back here! I'm also feeling broody, but we're not doing anything about it anytime soon. Fx for you though Smile

ControlGeek · 07/01/2014 13:26

musical sorry to hear about your back problems. Back pain is no joke Sad All is good here, thanks, suffering a bit from the hot flushes and insomnia - I was up and had an exercise dvd on (very quietly) at 6am this morning!

little broody, eh? Grin you'll be back before you know it missus!

Good news here, I've booked appointments for my final implant injection on 15th Jan, and I've also got an appointment with my clinic on the same day to start my stims - I am on the ivf-train again!

musicalmrs · 07/01/2014 13:53

Happy new year Little!

Geek, that's all very exciting! So after starting stims, what happens - how long before eggs are retrieved etc? I've followed many cycles on here from afar, but I confess I know very little about them. Sorry to hear about the hot flushes and insomnia :(

Thanks for the back sympathy! I have a bulging disc in my back, that has been remarkably well behaved for the last couple of years, but it's definitely coming back with a vengeance. Suspect I've just been overdoing it and/or did something stupid to set it off again, so am trying my best with exercises and excellent posture to try to get it back under control again..

Worried about if it doesn't get better and getting pregnant. The idea (recommended by my consultant!) was to start a family before my back worsened to the point of needing surgery. Really worried that I might have missed the boat now :( (for DC2 I mean - obviously incredibly grateful for DD).

RubberBaubles · 07/01/2014 14:20

Go Geek!

SantaMaybe · 07/01/2014 14:45

Geek that's amazing news!!! Exciting times ahead for you lovely Smile

Musical your poor back. Did you have an injury to damage the disk? Nasty nasty

Famous last words Little Wink

Fox82 · 07/01/2014 18:47

Exciting news Geek!

musicalmrs · 07/01/2014 20:19

No injury we could think of Maybe. When I first saw a doctor about it back in 2009 they suggested I did it falling off a bar stool Shock.

SantaMaybe · 07/01/2014 20:35

Grin Musical!!!

musicalmrs · 07/01/2014 21:13

Considering I don't go out much, don't drink, and rarely sit on bar stools, I told them it was highly unlikely!

I still got suspicious looks from that doctor every time we discussed it, until he saw my MRI results Grin.

ScarlettInSpace · 07/01/2014 22:38

3 fucking scan picture twats I've had to unfollow on FB today. Twats.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaarghhhhhhhhhhhh

As you were brookers Blush

musicalmrs · 07/01/2014 22:54

Ahh Scarlett how infuriating :( I've unfollowed one today too - a "lets-constantly-go-on-about-our-scan-in-x-number-of-days" one. Shush.

SantaMaybe · 07/01/2014 23:00

3 in a day Scarlett? Takes the piss that does. Are you currently a lady what lunches?

Musical I still it's hilarious that the dr would suggest the falling off the barstool Grin of all the things!

ScarlettInSpace · 07/01/2014 23:42

Yup my cousin, my now ex hairdresser & an old schoolfriend. All in one day. 3rd one for each of them too pffft. It's my TTC 3year anniversary in 7 weeks too whoop-de-doo Sad and wicked witch due to land any day soon

Started New job yesterday, brain is a bit fried! 3rd and final night in hotel though thankfully, for this week anyway, looking forward to my own bed, and missed jug dog oh and OH loooads!

SantaMaybe · 08/01/2014 09:10

3rd!! That's greedy.

Glad you're off home today. I want to steal Jugdog. He is too cute.
