Well I thought I'd get the ball rolling and start up the October bus, there's plenty of Cake and Wine on board and extra comfy seats for relaxing into those BFP's

jaykay I'm nearly half way through 2ww, due on 1st oct but I'll know before that as I always get some spotting a couple of days before AF (does mean I'll get to move to the back and stay on the bus which is good as it is going to be such a lucky bus) managed to Dtd 3 times around ov time (not exactly sure as don't get all scientific) but we've both been all poorly and something tells me cycle 7 isn't gonna be the lucky cycle either. Don't mind though as one of my very good friends is getting married at the end of may and I don't really wanna miss it, plus a July baby may coincide with grandma to be's birthday.
I'm surprisingly feeling a bit more relaxed about it this month, that could change though, hormones and all that!

I've been using the OPKs for three days now, and I've gone from nothing, to a barely there line, to quite a strong line today! Also, what I can only describe as a load of ewcm arrived this afternoon which I haven't seen for a couple of months. So I'm feeling quite positive! Fingers crossed my DH will be confident and have no performance probs this cycle Smile

VJONES1985 · 22/09/2013 19:45

Good luck, owlie

Owlie84 · 22/09/2013 22:10

Thanks!

newforest · 22/09/2013 22:26

Hi all, I'm now in the two week wait but not getting my hopes up too high, though I don't doubt I will be disappointed if I receive a negative.

jessieagain · 23/09/2013 09:44

Hi can sone

jessieagain · 23/09/2013 09:48

Hi can someone add me please. I have officially hopped aboard :)

Ttc #2 cycle 2 bfp 25th October.

Good luck everyone. Af started today and I am looking forward to using my new opks so i can pinpoint ov more precisely. The plan is to once again dtd every second day.

hey guys,

So I have been feeling rather low the last few weeks after hubby told me there was no way that he was going to be home for o day, anyway as it happens I'm experiencing ewcm now and hubby is due home Weds/Thurs... whats my chances? How long does EWCM last for as I think I've already had it for 2 days? and it stops after you O right??
feeling a little more hopeful today :)

Good luck everyone

jaykay987 · 23/09/2013 14:34

hi keep swimming. that's good news. are you still using opks? everyone has deck for different lengths of time, so difficultto say. if you haven't had positive opk yet - then your timing is probably good!

Choccywoccydodah · 23/09/2013 15:46

Hi all. Not been on for a few days, just read back a few posts.
Sorry to see you here Jessie, fingers crossed its your month Smile

For those wanting to know what we do to.....ahem....plug in the man juices......I normally get some tissue ready, wrap it around DHs willy when he's 'done', he slides out and I plug myself with the tissue with my bum up. Sorry if TMI, but you asked ha ha!
And have my conceive plus today on cd8, lets get jiggy!!

Springtime26 · 23/09/2013 15:47

thanks jaykay for the response.I ordered some clearblue advance, just waiting for them too arrive. this weekend I bought myself a lovely new bra, to test sods law.

keepswimming1 · 23/09/2013 15:57

Thanks jaykay, I wasn't using them as I didn't see the point (thought hubby wouldn't make it home) used one last night and one this morning both negative. just need the positive to hold off for a few days now...:)

ExactlyWhat · 23/09/2013 17:59

Hello everyone!
Climbing aboard as September bus has rudely come to an end for me...

So here are the stats:

ExactlyWhat ttc #3 cycle 2 bfp 27th Oct.

Scattering baby dust as I jump aboard

jessieagain · 23/09/2013 21:46

keepswimming I would be optimistic if I were you! You have up to 48 hours after ovulation as well.

hi choccy that sounds very tidy! Grin I dont think i could bring myself to plug it in, i would be worried about risking cystitis!

We have the possibility of a visitor during the 2ww, she will confirm at end of this week if she is coming. Hmm, I think this may mean some very creative dtd, cannot let it get in the way with our every second day plan!

jessieagain · 23/09/2013 21:48

Oops, that should be.......the visitor is coming (possibly) during the second week of my cycle, smack bang in the middle of ov!

(Must have 2ww wait on my mind as it lasted so long last time)

PurpleGeekyGirl · 24/09/2013 06:59

Marking my spot whilst I wait for af...

wispaxmas · 24/09/2013 07:32

I'm not joining the bus, just here to chat a bit :)

Come on October BFPs!

SoMuchFruit · 24/09/2013 07:53

Wow Choccy ! That is dedication! Thanks for the answer. I am not sure OH would be enthusiastic about that but I am impressed at your tenacity.

If I am on a 27 day cycle it should be CD14 for me (Ov day) so far we have been DTD every other day. I don't really want to use OPK's etc just yet but this random cycle business is frustrating as I am not really sure when I ovulate.

Is there anyone else not using OPK's/Charting etc that has irregular cycles ? Mine have varied between 27 and 34 this year so far, with 29/30 being the average.

SoMuchFruit · 24/09/2013 07:56

jessieagain .. awkward, definitely some creative DTD needed!

Good luck Owlie

jaykay987 · 24/09/2013 08:23

somuch - are those considered irregular cycles?
Mine vary a little. February was 29 days, normal is 30-32, but June was 39. I didn't think I had irregular cycles - just annoyingly longer than average.

I temp and use opks so can't help with your other question. Though since starting my ov days have varied by 5 days (cd17-cd22) so without tracking I'd have no clue.

SoMuchFruit · 24/09/2013 08:31

I don't know if they are 'officially' considered irregular jaykay but as I've been reading about lots of ladies who are literally regular to the day every month I was considering them irregular.

Normal for me is 29/30 but the shortest (last month) has been 27 and the longest was 34. Not huge variation but enough to cause confusion!

I thought I'd give the eod idea go for a couple of cycles then if nothing by Christmas I will give the OPK's a try. I am not sure about temping, I regularly wake up in the early hours due to a mix of DS trotting around the house and my own minor insomnia, so not sure whether temping would work for me.

I am going to buy some preseed though. I am pretty sure I don't have enough EWCM so Preseed it is!

Choccywoccydodah · 24/09/2013 08:57

Just dtd very quietly jessie. We used to live away from home and always had someone staying it seemed, or we were back home visiting, you've just got to get on with it lol!

We've always done the tissue thing. One to clean dh up as he withdraws, then plug it to get me to the loo lol! So this is just an adaption for ttc!

So, am a little confused. Last month was my first month off the pill and ttc. I got one day of ewcm, but quite thin, on cd14 then a positive opk on CDs 16/17.
I am currently on cd9, last night I had the same thin ewcm. Still stretchy, but not very thick. I did an opk yesterday at 11.30am just to see, and only one line so a clear negative, but then I had the mucus.
My cervix is super high, to a point where I can only just touch it with the tip of my middle finger.
Could I be ovulating this early?? My cycle length last time was 26 days. I haven't tested today yet.
