Well I thought I'd get the ball rolling and start up the October bus, there's plenty of Cake and Wine on board and extra comfy seats for relaxing into those BFP's

Hey Snowlet and Ibelieve
Sorry for all my posts this morning, but there seems so much going on!

Snowlet don't worry about faint lines - a line is a line. Maybe test again in a few days or use the Digi ones that tells you how many weeks, then do another one a week later to confirm progression.

Ibelieve, wouldn't it be better to hold off until the morning so you can use FMU? Give you a better chance of seeing that BFP??!! Grin xx

Snowlet · 01/10/2013 09:48

Are you in the UK IBelieve? I've been using the Superdrug ones, not the cheapest compared to the Amazon dip strips but they're sensitive and seem to be reliable, doesn't help that I have a Superdrug around the corner!

Snowlet · 01/10/2013 09:49

LH I bought a crazy expensive CBD but only one, and I'm going to wait a few days, I'm just super crazy beyond paranoid that it's all going to go wrong, where does this fatalism come from?? (I mean, aside from the m/c, but I felt like this last time too!)

IBelieveInEngels · 01/10/2013 09:52

Not in UK snowlet so I tend to order mine online - so expensive in the shops here!

I should wait till morning but tends to be a bit crazy with getting DS ready and dropped of at nursery and then racing to work for first lesson (though if anything will get me out of bed 10 mins early it's a pg test!).

Okay, bell is about to go...bring on the teenagers Grin

Snowlet · 01/10/2013 09:57

Ahhh IBelieve enjoy it while you can because jesus, the pregnancy insomnia is currently the plague of life, I've no problem getting out of bed at 5am to test because I'm bloody awake already!

haha, have a great day

LH1981 · 01/10/2013 10:03

I think it's just human nature snowlet. It took us 5 years to have our first ds, and when I fell pregnant I was so worried something would go wrong, but then I looked at it like, I would be just as devastated if something happened whether I was excited or practical.

I have now have two ds, aged 5 and 6(yep, after all that struggle with no 1, no2 came along straight away!) and we are going for no3 (would secretly love a girl). I had an early mc about 2 years ago so I know it's tough - but remember, you have a 3 out of 4 chance of a happy healthy baby, so the odds are with you! xx

fluffythelabcat · 01/10/2013 10:03

I convinced myself of so many symptoms last month so not falling into that trap again (haha fat chance)!!

Ibelieve shame about the wedding, I got to be a backup bridesmaid last year when two out of three of my friend's bridesmaids were 8 months pregnant at her wedding!!

indiangirl2013 · 01/10/2013 10:05

Yah kinda metallic LH, also a lil sour like...not sure how to put that one now! So the back pain started when i bent down to load the washer yesterday...made me think maybe i am pregnant! :S but really dont want to go there as it could end up beign nothing eh? thinking of buying a tst today? sigh...

LH1981 · 01/10/2013 10:09

Indian, think we're all crazy symptom spotting maniacs, but some (hopefully a lot) of us will end up with BFPs so some of our symptoms have to be legit! Wink
You might be lucky with a FR or another sensitive test, but if you can hold off for a few more days, all the better (says she who has practically bankrupt us buying sticks!).
Good luck if you do test!! x

indiangirl2013 · 01/10/2013 10:11

LH yeah i know what you mean, will try my best not to lean towards buying the darn test! but two more days would mean a hell of a long time...lets see if i can divert my mind to htinking non-prego things...hmm let me see...oops there goes my uterus...making those weird flippy movements again! nope that is not going to work!

Nulanoo · 01/10/2013 10:26

I've just been to the doctor (something unrelated!) I mentioned we are ttc she said I shouldn't waste money on tests and that ill just know when I'm pregnant! I've got 3 tests upstairs that I'm dying to do!! AF due Saturday so I might do one Friday now

Also when people have had dizziness had it just come and gone? I felt really light headed all evening the other day

Sparrowlegs248 · 01/10/2013 10:31

Blimey you lot are chatty!! I can't keep up at the moment. I will be more obsessive and therefore on hre more once i get to my 2ww (or 12 day wait as mine is...)

Going to attempt to jump DH again this evening. I'm a woman on a mission...... Grin

indiangirl2013 · 01/10/2013 10:40

LOL Nottalotta, and no Nullanoo my dizziness barely stayed a half day...and then it hasnt come back! I think you are too patient to wait till friday, my AF is due tomorrow and i cant bloddy wait a single day! [hmmm]

jaykay987 · 01/10/2013 10:50

Nulaloo - really? I'm not convinced that's good "medical" advice! If that were the case I would currently be assuming I was several months gone ;-) As I "just knew" months ago. Shame it was followed by AF! :-)

I'm having a funny day today. I was feeling so positive last week, looking forward to my fertile window coming up. Then at the weekend I was really down due to close friends pgcy announcements plus I thought ovulation had happened whilst I was away without DH for the weekend. My temps are now suggesting I haven't ovulated yet - and so I just feel lost and confused. Every time I think I get this ttc malarky worked out in my head, something else unexpected happens. I know I just need to wait it out, and by the middle of the month, I'll know when/if I ovulated, so there's no point overthinking it.

DH is really relaxed and we don't really talk about "women's" time (!). He's always really wanted kids but since we decided to ttc, we haven't really talked about the logistics of it. We are very close and talk a lot, but very rarely will he initiate an important/personal conversation. He likes to internalise things - very rarely shows his feelings.

Last night, after lights out, he asked me how long I think this will take. I explained a bit about ovulation/5 day window/20% chance per month etc. But now I feel really emotional about it all - couldn't stop the tears rolling down my face last night. Close to crying at work today. This is clearly really important to him. So glad lights were out - if I could see his face I would have started sobbing! Knowing he is secretly as desperate about it as I am makes me feel really anxious! At least when I'm stressing about it, I eventually come round to the fact I am an irrational woman - just having a crazy day!

UUURRRGGHHHH - I hate being so emotional! God know what I'll be like if I'm ever lucky enough to fall pregnant!

ImaginaryHat · 01/10/2013 11:14

Oh jaykay I do feel for you, that was me last week too secretly crying myself to sleep trying to keep quiet. I hope you feel more positive soon. Personally I feel a bit better now after a good cry, I hope you find the same Flowers

jaykay987 · 01/10/2013 11:49

Thanks Imaginary.

No idea how I'd cope without this site.

I'd clearly just be going mad a little more quickly!

Choccywoccydodah · 01/10/2013 11:56

Finally a positive opk!! Did one at 8am, negative just, then one at 10am which i forgot about as i went out with ds. just got back and checked!

So jumping on dh as soon as he walks in the door! Last time dtd was Sunday night, so there should be some little spermies waiting anyway Smile

Nulanoo · 01/10/2013 12:06

Just filled an application form in, to send or not?!? Really wish I knew what was happening inside me!

loopylu1 · 01/10/2013 12:21

Hi. Do you mind if I jump on?! Been ttc for 2 months. Only came off the pill in August. My first proper cycle was 28 days so was working on the assumption this one would be too. That would mean AF was due last Sunday but no sign yet. I have a brown colour discharge but only really when I wipe (sorry for tmi). Did a test but negative. Has anyone else experienced this? X

RaRaZ · 01/10/2013 12:30

Sorry to hear that Jaykay. Fingers crossed it will happen soon for you Flowers

I'm a right grumpy cow today. How do the rest of you cope with PMS? I'm stressed out of my mind! Waiting for Day 21 results, too much uni work to do with major assignment and two new modules to start, bf going away for the rest of the week, can't sleep.... Aaaaarrrrgggghhhh Sad

jaykay987 · 01/10/2013 12:37

Nulaloo - I am a great believer in sods law. So apply! You dont have to take it if you get BFP news between now and the job offer (which will obviously come from it) at the end of the recruitment process - which might take some time.
I have recently bought cb opks and conceive plus. I haven't opened either of the boxes, and am unlikley to need to until next cycle (which obviously isn;t going to happen as my BFP will be due this month! Smile )

Loopylu - I think this is quite common after coming off the pill. It can take around 6 months for your cycles to become regular, and so expect a bit of variety in your symptoms and timings to start with. FX you just have begnners luck!

Raraz - thanks. FX you get some good luck soon too.

loopylu1 · 01/10/2013 12:37

Also, just been catching up on posts on this thread and Jaykay I know exactly how you feel. It's so overwhelming isn't it. I didn't think I'd ever be so consumed by something as much as this. It's all I can think about. Hope you feel better. X

fluffythelabcat · 01/10/2013 12:57

loopylu I also came off the pill in August and had a 27 day cycle then 31 this month. Was spotting from 27 days though, it just took a while to kick in!! Did get my hopes up though. Also maybe means I missed my fertile days as I was working on another 27 day cycle (going to temp this month if my thermometer ever arrives from Amazon, bit worried my OH saw a parcel from 'babymad' and put it straight in the bin)

loopylu1 · 01/10/2013 13:05

Haha! That made me laugh fluffy. Glad to hear I'm not the only one it's making slightly insane! Will have a look for thermometer too I think. Read horror stories about people having 70 day cycles when coming off the pill so hope that doesn't happen! X

fluffythelabcat · 01/10/2013 13:21

It's not just the going insane, it's trying to hide the insanity from your OH who you promised you would be 'relaxed' about the whole thing!!
