Well, I've not been so mental about symptom spotting - because all off the symptoms could put down to other things. Anyway, I'm due AF on Tuesday but don't think I'll POAS until she hasn't shown up for a couple of days.
No point in getting stressy it's only cycle 2 of this.

jaykay987 · 07/09/2013 07:13

As expected BFN. I won't test again now til DPO 13/CD34. Bring on next weekend!

Anyone (more realistically ) testing today?

Choccywoccydodah · 07/09/2013 07:47

Jaykay, are you still going to drink even though you're too early to really know?

I'm just into my 2ww now, going to see a concert next weekend with friends that's been booked since march (ds guardians if anything happens to us), and I just know they'll want to be up to all hours drinking afterwards as we're staying over.
I really don't know what to do as I'm not drinking anyway now were ttc, and we haven't told anyone and won't either. I think the antibiotics thing may have to come out!
I could get away with it if dh went to the bar every time to buy the drinks, but he won't be obviously.

jaykay987 · 07/09/2013 09:03

Yes - I've decided to drink.

I won't go mad. But refuse to feel guilty.

I can't realistically put my life on hold for a fortnight every month. Especially when I could be doing this for a year! I've decided - what will be will be! Lots of people do not know they are pregnant this early anyway.

I don't drink very often anymore. Maybe once every 8 weeks? Whenever there's an occasion/event.
So if I am, I am. If it sticks, it sticks.
(Someone please remind me of my current laid back positive approach if the worst is ever to happen!).

Enjoy your concert choccy!

getovaryit · 07/09/2013 09:19

Happy weekend everyone! Thanks for the welcomes. I've decided that I'm going to hold off testing until Monday when it will be 15 days post first fixed smilie-if my finger nails hold out that long!!!

Science-don't lose hope, have you tried the vit B6 as it seems to lengthen some peoples LP? Have some Cake and Brew and remember that it ain't over til AF arrives!

I have a weekend and probably entire week, filled with the joys of having our bathroom replaced!!! God, I just LOVE the prospect of peeing in a bucket!!! (our only bathroom!!!) Anyone got any better plans?

Cupcake1985 · 07/09/2013 09:23

sciencegeek so sorry your feeling down this ttc business is so much more rollercoaster like than many of us thought it will be. It will happen when the time is right try the b6 everyone is talking about maybe and if you want you can always see the doctor and check things out for peace of mind Thanks

wispaxmas · 07/09/2013 09:56

I don't have much to catch up on for the first in in over a week! But still, you lot have made me burn a pancake. I should be focussing on other things, stop making me want to come on MN. And also, where are our morning testers today!?

internationallove985 · 07/09/2013 10:03

Pleased to say despite A.F's reluctance to leave last night the deed still went ahead. We only managed it twice though and once this morning. just been to the toilet and A.F appears to on her way out, but I said that yesterday and she came back with a vengence. I'm really confused by this months A.F I was on really heavy from Sat-Thurs. I was starting to settle on Fri morning and later on say late morning or it could have been early afternoon she came back again really heavy. Like I said though fingers crossed she's almost on her way out now. xx
Welcome to getovaryit (brilliant name).xx
Sorry you're feeling down sciencegeek. I know how you're feeling. I did nothing but get emotional this past week. I'm all fine and positive now though. Hope you feel better soon. xx

VJONES1985 · 07/09/2013 10:56

Hi all. Am in town, had my nails done and bought my first batch of 100mg vit b6, which I'm gonna start today. It had better lengthen my luteal phase! Am cd12 today so hopefully it will still have an effect. We will see!

internationallove985 · 07/09/2013 11:09

Hi Vjones. Glad you're having a positive day. I always do my own nails. I find painting them very theraputic. xxx

VJONES1985 · 07/09/2013 11:09

I would do my own if I was any good but I have the gel polish put on because it lasts two weeks :-)

leezl · 07/09/2013 12:28

Yeah! I've been dying for this thread to move onto nails haha! My nail art is what keeps me sane! Grin What colour did you go for VJ?

lucyfluff · 07/09/2013 12:47

Oooo I love doing my nails too! DH is getting me a shellac kit for my bday soon :) im loving hot pink at the moment.

Mistyautumn · 07/09/2013 14:00

Finally got solid smiley today after 6 days of flashy ones. Also had a gut feeling and used IC OPK at 8.30 last night which came up pos. DTD last night and hoping to tonight but I just wondered howling after fixed smiley you normally ov'd xx

Mistyautumn · 07/09/2013 14:01

Oh and for those keeping track of weight losses....managed to get 1.5 off today so got my 1.5 stone sticker today. Whoop. Xx

PurpleGeekyGirl · 07/09/2013 14:27

Misty it can be anything from 12-48 hours I think. I usually ov 24 hours after a fixed Grin

PurpleGeekyGirl · 07/09/2013 14:28

Nails?! I'm so not a girl lol!! Can I rave about my new rab softshell tech jacket instead Wink

englishteacher78 · 07/09/2013 15:07

I'm doing my nails at the moment - green with red tips. I'm running a 10km dressed as Robin Hood tomorrow!!!

Bloumermaid · 07/09/2013 16:09

Purple I'm with you. The first thing my sis does when she sees me is inspects my nails and tells me off for how badly I look after them. I'm better with my toenails! Your rab jacket sounds ace btw. I really want one but worried about getting down wet if it rains.

English and a few others mentioned trying not to get worked up about this whole ttc thing - good advice! I'm trying to be a bit more zen about it all. Really not hopeful this time but it's normal for it to take several months. Sad

Jaykay - I had my first drink last night for about 6 weeks! A very enjoyable glass of prosecco. Can't remember who, but someone recently posted about a doctor who said drinking was fine in the tww. Life must go on ffs!

Nothing to report really, will POAS tomorrow (16dpo) but pretty sure will be bfn.

englishteacher78 · 07/09/2013 16:22

@bloumer - the only way I'm able to stay sane is to focus on my fitness. Which should help with TTC as well.
Win win Grin

Cupcake1985 · 07/09/2013 16:29

Knock me over with a feather I think I may finally have a positive opk stick. Ever so slightly lighter than control line though so I may wait and do a clear blue tomorrow?? I only have 2 clear blues in the house.

Just dtd this afternoon before DH lest for a night out with his friends. Worried the best day to dtd is tomorrow when DH sperm are hungover and not performing to the best of their ability. Typical he only goes out once in a blue moon as well!

Cupcake1985 · 07/09/2013 16:43

I've uploaded pics of my opk stick to my pictures. If anyone has a minute can they give me their opinion on if it's a positive or a nearly positive?

PurpleGeekyGirl · 07/09/2013 17:06

Bloumer my toenails are lovely and sparkly. But my fingernails are just short and filed!! Down rabs are fine, I've had one for two years and it even washes well too. This is a lovely purple waterproof and wind proof jacket. I lurve tech kit!!!!!

Cupcake1985 · 07/09/2013 17:21

I caved and did a clear blue. It's clearly positive :D I do ovulate after all!
