Morning all. Re the spotting. I had varying stuff last time, started almost 3 days before af was due with pinky tinged discharge. Varied from pinky to horrid dark brown and finally red full flow on day 3 - the day af was due. I had a very short af so maybe it was due to the spotting. Short but heavy.

I am sadly off the bus! And I've been pretty upset about it, the reality of failing on the 3rd cycle when my friend managed 1st try again for her second. Not really sure what we are doing wrong. So yeah, it's hit me pretty hard.

Am a bit bummed out today. So done the SEMP this month and it was good just starting the 2ww. However, due to job situation etc me and dh might make a move up to Midlands soon - so if I dont get a bfp this month its going to be a wait for about 6 months.

So sorry to hear it gin!! It just doesn't seem fair, does it? Have you been tracking ovulation? If you have been and its not happening, you know you can see a doctor before that one year thing, right? If it doesn't happen for us after I've been full on tracking and dtd on all the right days after a few months I am definitely getting checked out and H's little guys tested!

Aaand as for spotting, I had the exact same- pinky or slightly brownish tinge on tp for nearly 3 days before AF last time, and I never get spotting. I googled implantation bleed and read that if its implantation it won't last that long, apparently.

Anyone poas today?

wispa Been tracking, have about 2million different apps I have to keep reminding myself that we've only just entered the average - 3-6 months, so I shouldn't beat myself up but it yeah, seems so unfair. If she'd got pregnant on the second try, at least she would have a bit more understanding of how I feel. Makes me wish we'd started trying as soon as we decided, rather than waiting 3 months first.

The aim now is to get as healthy as we can be and keep everything crossed.

Jaykay....I believe I am the woman to talk to as I had CONVINCED myself last cycle of implantation bleed and was gutted at af arrival. I had spotting for 4 days prior to af it was pinky/brown and only once or twice a day (when I wiped sorry tmi) so I am never convincing myself again of implantation as it seems very uncommon and nxt time I get spotting I will accept its the beginning of af arrival......then if it turns out to be implantation....well what a lovely surprise that would be!!!

I know how you feel gin, the only person I can moan to really is my sister, she is as understanding as she can be but she got pregnant on first cycle without even trying and here i am 6 months on with no baby! Come join us on the October bus (rumours are it's exceptionally lucky).

So I am expecting af/bfp 27th sept but expecting spotting from 22nd or 23rd before af arrival......remind me I said that when I start trying to match it with implantation bleed lol

Mama31 - before I joined MN I had the impression from literature etc that implantation bleeds were extremely rare, although certainly documented. Now I am not so sure ? Science is science but MN is actual people who are experiencing this things. Is implantation bleeding more common than we are told it is ?

I'm 10dpo now and all 'symptoms' bar a random burst of nausea, are gone now so I am pretty sure I imagined things bar the nausea and sore boobs (they were that sore I wish they were imaginary but now not sore, just bigger than usual) AF due on Sunday and am expecting her

Morning all! Sorry to hear a few people have had AF arrive. :( Try not to be disheartened, just keep trying for next month! From experience I can say that June/July is a lovely time to have a baby and be on maternity leave. ;)

Still symptom spotting here. Yesterday I seemed to be a cat magnet and at one point had two of three cats sitting on me. Being unexpectedly piled on by cats was one of my earliest symptoms last time around! But today they're utterly uninterested, so it might just have been a fickle cat thing. Damn moggies.

Less than a week now until I can test! Though deep down I'm not expecting success first time. It took a chemical pregnancy (I hate that term...) and about four cycles with DD, and I'm a fair bit older now.

But each month extra it takes gives us a little more time to put savings aside, so I can do/get more things while on maternity. So waiting not all bad. :) And the older DD gets, the easier she is and the more she'll be able to help out! Win win.

gin & dupain sorry to hear this :( fingers crossed the October bus is lucky for you both.

spirael that is true, a July baby was lovely for me! How old is your dd?

My ds is 2, it is so strange to think we were starting out ttc him 3 years ago. And also that if we are lucky enough to get pregnant soonish, he will be 3 when the baby is born!

DD is 3, so she'll be 4 around the time that (hopefully) a baby sibling comes along!

It's been 4 years since I was last doing all this TTC malarkey. Time really does fly.

6 days now until the absolute earliest I can test, assuming AF doesn't come at 23 days again...

Thank you all - feeling better and more positive already.

Everything happens for a reason and this month just wasn't our month, will shuffle over to the October bus soon.

Well I have just had the most faaaaabulous lie in. Ds came in at 6.30, and I thought oh no, time to get up, he jumped on the futon and went back to sleep until 8.45, lovely

Jessie all good, trying not to think about testing! We're out this weekend with friends to see a concert (also ds' guardians if we die), and we've decided to tell them we are ttc so there is no pressure on me to drink. It's never stopped me before though. We've always lived in a village bar now, and I always drove everywhere, so people are used to me not drinking anyway and I still manage to be the entertainment somehow

Spirael, totally agree with the older the siblings get, the more help they'll be. Ds isn't usually interested in babies when we go to toddler groups etc, but dh's hairdresser had a baby 12 weeks ago (usually comes to the house but since baby he goes to her). Anyway, I took ds to get his hair cut and all he was interested in was the baby! That was a very good sign He didn't, however, sit still and have his hair cut!

I'm still in limbo. I had no further spotting overnight. So I have nothing now. Just the little bit of dark brown (sorry tmi) last night.

I've still got all my symptoms in tow - the worst today is the horrid taste in my mouth. I've had it about three days. So if (as Im starting to believe) this is not my month, then I guess I might need a trip to the dentist! What a contrast!

So dpo 10 - BFN which isn't a surprise at this point. I just wanted to see a negative test so I can mentally prepare for AF!

It's freezing here. Anyone else put the central heating on yet?

Re the taste, totally normal. I've had it since coming off the pill last month on and off. Like a metallic taste, bloody awful.

Hi I'm new, can I join please? congrats to all the bfps and good luck to everyone waiting for bfps! I'm ttc#2, been off pill since June and bfp due around 28th but my cycles are a bit random after years on the pill! DD is nearly 7. Last time it only took a month so I'm disappointed as I think it could be a long haul this time. Different partner and I'm much older! I've been having ov pains today and not dtd since sat. Do you think I've missed my chance this month? It's only cd12 :/
