The smallprint - Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooh we are strict...please note your house may be at risk if you do not keep up repayments lol

Hello everyone,

Mind if I join this thread? Me: 34, pcos, TTC #1 since September 2012. Bit fed up at the moment! On a clomid break (after doing five months, three of which were bust) and am now cd34/15dpo (if I did ovulate) with no sign of af. Had a bit of pinky/brown discharge last Thursday, thought it was the start of af, and then stopped. I've done more preg tests in the last five days than I have in five months! All BFNs. :(

Barking: know how you're feeling. Everywhere I turn people seem to be pregnant. Sis-in-law, three mates and two colleagues are pregs at the moment - and all got there at the drop of a hat. The only way I've learned to cope is to just trust that one day if will happen for me and dp and all this stress and sadness will be in the past. Not easy, but I gotta clutch at something!

CatsCantFlyFast · 24/09/2013 21:16

IamKuma · 24/09/2013 21:50

funky yes, this was my first trip. She didn't want many details, but we established that I am almost 39 so she was happy to get things moving. The blood test envelope does have primary infertility written on it, nice reminder..... She was quite kind and said keep going about your business as usual and hopefully you'll get a BFP before or during the process.

feather Welcome, you are in good company here.

foody good tip, I'll try that one. Maybe I'll get my wedding pants out Wink

FeatherFeather11 · 24/09/2013 21:53

Foody and Bunny: was diagnosed with pcos in December 2012. I knew I was going to have a hard time ttc as I'd had my right Fallopian tube removed 6 years ago after it "twisted in on itself" and nearly killed me - they thought it was ectopic but tests showed it wasn't. Anyway, after a fleet of tests in Dec 12, the clinic said I wasn't ovulating, but that my other tube was fine and dp's SA was ok too. They started me on clomid in Feb 13, I did five months of it, at 50mg for two months then 100mg for the last three. Was in a bit of a state by the end of it all, so decided to take a break and go on hols in Aug/Sept, ready to start my last two rounds on 150mg (which I basically had to beg for) - and now here I am waiting for af to show and it won't!

Does it seem like I got clomid pretty quickly, then? I thought after a year of trying 'naturally' that they took you in for tests etc, right?

I've just realised what an idiot I've been! We've been TTC since Sept 2011 NOT Sept 2012! DUH. Sorry to cause any confusion.

Bunnygirlie · 24/09/2013 22:12

Doh! No wonder you confused us lol

So Feather are you like most berries, are you a teacher or do you own a cat?!?

Foodylicious · 24/09/2013 22:17

A ha! that makes more sense feather!

FeatherFeather11 · 24/09/2013 22:26

Yeah, sorry about that! Grin

Not a teacher or cat owner (although I'm SO desperate for a kitten!) - live in a top floor flat with no outdoor space so feels a little mean. Are all of you teachers? Wow! Will have to keep an eye on my spelling. Blush

Boodle9 · 24/09/2013 22:42

Kuma's right, Sid, I did/do get discomfort on clomid, but it doesn't usually start until cd11 or so. Last for a couple of days and then just completely disappears. I'm not very happy about it though and I'm going to be having firm words about it with my consultant in 3 weeks time.

I'm missing off the list, so I'll add myself on now:

Barking - 34, ttc 21 months, bfp on clomid in aug, mc in sept. Hoping AF or bfp isn't delayed so we can start back on the clomid asap

Has anyone heard from RevoltingPeasant? She was the one who told me about this group on another post. Just wondering if she's had her bfp or af yet? Think we were round the same time.

Hi feather. Welcome to the berries. There have been a few graduates lately. I'm a fairly new berry myself, but I believe that is what is known as a clusterdiff!

foody I have once ovulated as late as day 20. Its always been day 17 until I started b6 last cycle when I ov'd day 18. The second line is there on the opk but just as faint as it usually is. Grrr. I've been taking 50mg as well, though stopped taking it today. Will start again after I know ovulation happens. If it happens this cycle. It was successful last month in causing one less day of spotting and an extra day on to the luteal phase. I knew it could delay ov but thought as it was just one day last cycle then it would be the same this time. Have you been taking it before now? I imagine 50mg would be ok when pregnant. I think they say to take for 3 months???

OP posts:
Boodle9 · 24/09/2013 23:47

Feather, this is my 3rd cycle and I'm on cd14...I think! I was already ovulating so clomid has been a bit of a time filler. Surprisingly, it extended my luteal phase to 15 days (from 9) but the elusive BFP has still not been found.

Bunny everything sucks boodle actually sounds like a real expression!

barkingtreefrog · 25/09/2013 06:43

Boodle when's your birthday? You seem to have been 30 for ages!!

Welcome Feather, sorry you find yourself here but the Berries are great. Grin
I've hated pg women since about the 'ttc for a year' mark, but this pg woman in particular (and to a lesser extent the one at work) is making me sad because she's as pg as I would have been if I hadn't had a mc 2/3 weeks ago. Really scared about how I'm going to cope with watching this particular bump grow knowing mine could have been the same Sad .

Couldn't talk about it to DP last night as he's really down. We've both been lying awake for hours which is unheard of for him. I'm also struggling because I've had ewcm for the last 4 days but one or both of us just hasn't been in the mood since the one time last week when we dtd for the first time since the bfp. Can't help feeling like we're wasting an opportunity as I want to at least have that little grain of hope that by some miracle I could be pg again. Right now I'm just depressed on all counts! Really want AF to show up so I can start back on the clomid.

Can I ask those who had a natural mc, how long was it before your next AF?

Happy Wednesday everyone, sorry to start the day with yet another whinge! On the happy side, my new washing machine should be delivered this afternoon after my old one (only 3 years old mind) flooded for the last time on Friday accompanied by a strong smell of burning rubber. Wasn't prepared to throw any more money at it getting it fixed so just ordered a new one!

Pipbin · 25/09/2013 07:15

Looks like AF will be here in the next day or so.
Welcome Feather. Seems you've had quite a journey.

I was listening to the radio 4 podcast More or Less this morning and it was talking about the statistics of getting pg over the age of 35. Worth a listen, full of much more hope.

Can someone add me to the list please as I'm on my phone?

Pipbin 38 TTC since April 2011 waiting for second round of IVF, due to start in December.
