The smallprint - Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooh we are strict...please note your house may be at risk if you do not keep up repayments lol

Merk I don't know what that means. I set the alarm for 7am and pretty much stick the thermometer in my mouth right then! Perhaps 10 or 20 min difference in a day but that oughtn't to make much difference?

Yes I wondered if temps not dropping might be connected to short LP as that seems to be a problem a few people have.

SidneyBristow · 16/09/2013 19:53

Yorkie I think you & your DH have opted for the most sensible solution on the table. Having a monitored cycle will shed light on what's going on in your body, and at what times during the month, than anything you've had thus far. And it would've been silly not to take on IUI to that too if it wasn't much more money! I'd have chosen the same thing. And now that we know, thanks to Blind, that IUI does work sometimes, then who knows what might happen?

As for the Clomid angle, I'm afraid that I might be very sneaky and pretend to have taken it for 2 cycles, or perhaps take it for 1 cycle right before your appt in Dec. Maybe doing that wouldn't affect your FSH level too much and you could move straight on to NHS IVF. I'd be very uncomfortable about doing anything that might monkey with my blood test results in a way that would bar me from IVF - my understanding is that they go by test results that are available on the day of your appointment, so for ex if you started taking a medication that raised your weight above the max BMI allowed, they wouldn't offer you IVF, even if the weight gain were directly related to a medication and you'd never had a problem before. This is probably very dodgy advice but in the end it's your body and you shouldn't be pushed into doing something that might keep you from getting the treatment that has the best chance of working. Thanks

barking your student's parent was totally out of line and whether you were a parent or not, it had nothing to do with your professional opinion. Such a ridiculous comment would really have taken me aback and then I'd've been steamed later for not coming up with a cutting reply. Just remember: these people do not matter in the big scheme of things. They would not make such ignorant comments if they had half an inkling of what you are going through. I'm glad your GP has signed you off as it sounds like you need more time away from the world while you build up your strength. Do not feel awkward about this - I'd still be under the covers! You have been amazingly strong so far but this is probably going to be a two-steps-forward/one-step-back sort of thing, so go easy on yourself and don't worry about asking for/demanding what you need Thanks

BlindKitty · 16/09/2013 19:58

Where's bunny?

barking what a twat parent! Hope taking a bit more time off helps

yorkie you have to bare in mind that I'm incredibly biased now but personally I'd go for one cycle of iui. Failing that, I'd jump through the hoops for ivf.

So did pg test number 10 today! I really need to get a grip don't I?!

happylass · 16/09/2013 20:11

Barking so glad you've been signed off. Whilst I find that teaching is great for keeping you busy and taking your mind off things school also isn't the place to be if you are feeling the least but fragile. Look after yourself and take all the time you need.
Yorkie sorry to hear things are so complicated with the FC still Flowers
RP your chart looks great bit is this your 1st month temping? If so I would wait a few months before you read too much in to things. I have a 25/26 day cycle and usually OV cd11-13 giving me a LP of 12-14 days but had 2 occasions where I OVd late on cd16 but my LP didn't change. So this month could just be abnormal for you. Also as I said my temp rarely drops before AF and my LP and Progesterone are fine. Also I'm never strict about the time I take my temps during hols and weekends and I always get a very clear pattern but don't tell Merk Smile

Bunnygirlie · 16/09/2013 20:28

Thanks sid I have noted down all my dates etc and will take my iPad for a back up on the app. FC should have all our test results and we filled in a very long form with both our medical histories a few weeks back.

kitty you will have to dangle something better than a carrot in front of me if you want my attention Wink

RevoltingPeasant · 16/09/2013 20:29

Thanks Happy! When is your appt?

Kitty I'm sure clearblue are very grateful for your continued patronage! How much money would you spend if you kept this up till the birth, I wonder?!

RevoltingPeasant · 16/09/2013 20:30

Bunny if you want dangly bits, I believe it was barking who'd developed those, ahem.....

happylass · 16/09/2013 20:35

RP my appt isn't until Friday but unlike Bunny we haven't filled in any forms so fear it's just going to be one long paperwork exercise!

Kitty so glad all is well Grin

yorkiebilb · 16/09/2013 20:47

Thanks for your thoughts ladies. Told DH I was going to ask the thread for advice and he wholeheartedly encouraged it! Thanks sid for your thoughts - exactly what I thought. Sneaky but necessary I think.

Anyway, enough about me. Glad to hear the positive pg tests contine kitty hope the appt comes around soon.

Definitely etch your last menstrual period start date to your brain bunny or write down your start date as I always forgot and they always ask...leading to panic and a fumbled checking of my iphone! Have an idea of the questions you want to ask and go through them with your DH so he knows as well. I forgot what I want to ask as I'm so emotional at these appt but having DH there to ask helps. What time is the appt bunny

Wow arse you're like me on the numerous supplements! I got to the stage where I thought maybe I'm actually taking too many of these?!

BlindKitty · 16/09/2013 21:07

arse should we really call you that? I feel bad already! Where are you with fc, etc or are you going au naturellle? I think we all waited for the right job/house/man and then paid the price!

rp oh I haven't done any expensive ones since otd, just ic atm. £3.49 for 25 well spent!!! Grin

Bunnygirlie · 16/09/2013 21:25

RP lol at barking and her dangly bits

yorkie think the date of last AF is easy to remember, Friday 13th lol

No idea of what questions to ask, apart from when will I get a baby?!?

Bunnygirlie · 16/09/2013 21:29

How's things kitty? (i'd prefer chocolate to vodka at the mo Wink)

BlindKitty · 16/09/2013 21:35

Oh I thought the appointment was today!

barkingtreefrog · 16/09/2013 21:57

Oi, I'd thank you to keep my dangly bits out of it! Wink .

So what's your conclusion yorkie? When you went to the nhs appointment did you ask about private treatment affecting nhs entitlement?

barkingtreefrog · 16/09/2013 22:07

Without wanting to jinx anything, I just went to the toilet and for the first time in 12 days there was no blood Smile .
I think being able to stop wearing sanitary towels 24/7 would be a nice step forward Smile .

Boodle9 · 16/09/2013 22:11

What? Barking's got dangly bits?

Think I may need to actually read back on what's going on here! So many posts this evening but I also have a big pile of work and only a tiny dent has been made so far.

Bunnygirlie · 16/09/2013 22:33

Yep tomorrow aftie, I wouldn't keep you waiting my little kittykins Grin

barking sounds like you are heading in the right direction my lovely x

So was the general opinion wear a skirt if I think I have dildocam tomorrow?

yorkiebilb · 16/09/2013 22:40

barking I didn't ask at the appt but I've just read the guidelines for my area which say privately funding treatment will not stop me from receiving NHS ivf cycle if eligible so I assumed I'd be okay to combine the two.

I'm off to bed. Good luck tomorrow bunny I'll be keeping an eye on here for an update please!

Look after yourself barking.

Sleep well lovely berries

Bunnygirlie · 16/09/2013 22:43

Thanks yorkie

Off to bed here too, bit of a headache, think I may be a little nervous

Night y'all

Boodle9 · 16/09/2013 22:52

Bunny - definitely go for a skirt. Much less embarrassing than having to slink your way out of trousers.

BlindKitty · 17/09/2013 06:44

Good luck for today bunny!

barkingtreefrog · 17/09/2013 07:23

Hope the appointment goes ok bunny, for me it definitely felt like a step forward.

Very glad I'm not at work today, had repeated nightmares and very little sleep.

Thundercatsarego · 17/09/2013 07:29

bunny good luck today chick!

yorkie am Angry that you haven't come out of the appointment with a clearer idea than you have. I suppose we all want it to be a straightforward 'this is the problem, so this is the solution' kind of approach when it's obviously not like that when it comes to individual people. I think the iui sounds like a good option- you'll feel like you're taking positive action. Sounds like you know the clomid isn't going to help and might well hinder the next step so I can understand your hesitation. Is there no way of ringing your consultant to voice those direct concerns?

barking you need time to recover! That doesn't mean you have to sit and not do anything. If you're not at work (good!) the are there other things that you find uplifting. Maybe you can get out and do some beautiful walks with the dog? Glad to hear about the bleeding stopping x x

Bunnygirlie · 17/09/2013 07:59

Morning! Have woken with headache and awful IBS nausea Sad

Thank you for the good lucks ladies, I am nervous (plus it's too cold for a skirt lol) but raring to get on with this hideous TTC journey!

Appointment is at 2 so see you on the other side! x
