Vj I think that's fine but I'm no medical expert! I've always took b6 but only 10-30mg per day, maybe give your GP a call and discuss it they may be able to reccomend a suitable dose.

I believe (according to cm) that I ovulated on 20/8 so think my luteal phase is 14 days but will know better when I use opks this month. Defo get the b6 tho its great anyway for hormonal moods and overall energy levels and if it lengthens your LP then that will be wonderful :)

Hendricks · 04/09/2013 22:04

Congratulations bushprincess and commiserations to those who've had AF arrive.

I've no symptoms indicating one way or another so I think I'll POAS first thing as AF is due tomorrow going on my average cycle length.

blamber · 04/09/2013 22:10

About faint lines on OPKs, you can't predict anything from them. With these OPKs you have to wait for a line as dark as the control one and then you know ov will be within 12-36 hours or so. Faint lines can mean anything, sometimes you just have LH in your blood but it doesn't have to mean your surge is about to happen. But maybe if you do this over a few months you can identify a pattern.

blamber · 04/09/2013 22:10

Good luck Hendricks!

Bloumermaid · 04/09/2013 22:13

Hendricks good luck POAS tomorrow morning! Is this your first test this cycle?

Mama - noooo! Can't believe it! I'm so sorry. At least you're still on this bus...

I think that's 3 ladies experiencing spotting ahead of AF - so I really shouldn't be reading anything into my spotting at 8 & 9 dpo. It's so difficult though, while I'm trying not to get my hopes up there's a little part of me that really thinks I'm pg...heading for massive disappointment I'm sure! Confused

mama31 · 04/09/2013 22:14

Yes good luck hendricks!! Give us another bfp!

Bloumermaid · 04/09/2013 22:19

Also my boobs swelled up around OV time and haven't, er, deflated 13 days later (although they're not as sore as they were).

If this is still pill withdrawal I'll be so cross! How does nobody tell you how much it messes up your life when you come off it?!

mama31 · 04/09/2013 22:25

Bloumer! I hope u get your bfp! If you have had no spotting since 9dpo then sounds more promising. I only had none today then tonight the witch hit me!
But if you haven't had spotting for 3 days sounds viable! I am really really rooting for you, hope bfp is here soon :)

Bloumermaid · 04/09/2013 22:37

Thanks mama, means a lot to have your support!

MN is my therapy.

Fx for all tomorrow's sticks awaiting P!

Hendricks · 04/09/2013 22:40

I did one on Sunday that, unsurprisingly, was a BFN. Just cheapy dip tests from Amazon, but means I've got a bundle to play with if I end up with a long cycle.

Sounds promising Bloumermaid. Fingers crossed for everyone testing.

cheesysmile · 04/09/2013 23:48

Ah mama rubbish, I really thought you were gonna get bfp, so sorry.

Good luck to ladies poas tomorrow!

leezl · 05/09/2013 01:33

Squee possibly ovulating today. So excited lol. Oh life.

bushprincess · 05/09/2013 05:50

Oh mama sorry the witch came to visit Sad i had a short cycle the second month after coming off the pill and the next time it all worked out fine! i used the predictions on the mydays app to judge my fertile days then just did 2 opks in that timeitto confirm. Dtd 2x in the fertile window and bingo..... there is hope after coming off the pill. .fx for you and the rest of the bus of course!!

Sparrowlegs248 · 05/09/2013 07:15

bushprincess did the mydays predictions tie in with the opks? And what length were your cycles? I am using mydays for guidance, and have 25 day cycles. No idea if/when i am ovulating so don't know whether to get opks or not. This is only C3 for me so may leave it a bit - don't want the obsession to get out of hand!!

Good luck to those pos this morning!

wispaxmas · 05/09/2013 08:08

Nottalotta, I know you asked bushprincess, but up until last month I was same as you - no idea when I ovulated, but having regular cycles (though mine are 28, not 25, days)... I wanted to make sure I was ovulating and when, though, so I looked into it and it seemed that OPKs alone still leave you guessing at least somewhat, as they aren't 100% reliable, as there have been people who miss the surge and think they haven't ovulated, or they get positives for more than one day, which shouldn't happen either; however, OPKs can give you a heads up BEFORE you ovulate, thus giving you a chance to dtd loads and get upduffed before spitting out the egg, whereas temping will just tell you afterwards.

With this in mind, I'm currently tracking my temps on fertility friend, and will also be following SMEP and use OPKs from CD10 (tomorrow). If I were you, I'd get a thermometre (I got this one: www.amazon.co.uk/BabyMad-Basal-Temperature-Ovulation-Thermometer/dp/B001CL2GIA) and start tracking, and do OPKs from CD 7. At least for one month to check your ov date.

wispaxmas · 05/09/2013 08:10

Oh, and I need to add that although it sounds like I've got an obsession, I really don't. Since I started temping last week I've been far less obsessively thinking about ttc. I take my temp when I wake up and record it in FF, but other than that I've barely even made it onto MN.

I think it sort of gives me a bit of peace of mind, iykwim.

Sparrowlegs248 · 05/09/2013 08:18

Thanks Wispa. I do see a lot of confusion about opks. I going to try to take the laid back approach ( Smile ) for a couple of cycles. I don't want to take the fun away at this early stage and i know for certain that DH would disapprove think i was bonkers if i started taking my temp and pos every morning! . Will just up the dtd ante and hope for the best. If i am still not upduffed by C 6 i will change tactics.

DisneyDiva87 · 05/09/2013 08:19

Mornings

sorry AF got you mama, if you have such a short cycle I'd recommend you start opts before AF is done like cd4 to be sure if catching your surge.

The dog peed in the hall last night and I only noticed as I was leaving so now I'm super late for work

Hendricks · 05/09/2013 08:19

I think I've got a faint squint and angle it correctly at the light line. Obviously I managed to ditch the sample as soon as I'd dipped the test, so can't try another test to compare. I'll test again tomorrow - and hopefully have to squint less!

How's everyone else getting on?

keepswimming1 · 05/09/2013 08:20

sorry mama.. :(

Sparrowlegs248 · 05/09/2013 08:28

Oops didn't see your second post wispa - tbh we haven't really been dtd an awful lot so - which after all is kind of essential!! So i plan to dtd as much as poss over the next 10 days and see what happens. I suppose having a shorter cycle means less chance of missing the right time?

Saying that, that was my plan last month but what with one thing or another we managed about 6 times all month!

Sparrowlegs248 · 05/09/2013 08:29

FX Hendricks - is af due today? Any signs? Hope you get a better result tomoz.

Choccywoccydodah · 05/09/2013 08:44

Sounding good Hendricks Grin fingers crossed xx

mama31 · 05/09/2013 08:51

Wow hendricks sounds like the nxt bfp!!! :) what test did you use?? Good luck for poas again tomorrow can't wait to hear!!

Disney I know :( think you are right tho I best start using opks cd4 to be on the safe side.....which will be no prob since I'm now a poas addict apparently :/ anywho...disney looks like I'm now at the back of the bus with you...can I squeeze in??? (Would we be a dangerous obsessive combination end of this month?!? Or are you quite rational? Unlike me obv)

lucyfluff · 05/09/2013 09:03

Oh rubbish mama :( hope sept still works put for you (and everyone else!!).
