The September BFP bus, second thread and not even September yet

I found that 2 week wait website too, have been reading all sorts of things......mostly searching for if people had BFN around 12 dpo and then got a BFP!

Will be checking in every time I can find an Internet connection, otherwise I would never be able to catch up, you guys will be on part 10 by the time I get back! plus I really want to see all the news as it comes in.

Vjones, if its your first month of checking cervix it will be difficult to tell what stage you're in, because you have nothing to compare it to. I found though that about a week in advance the cervix slowly starts to open and then 1-2 days before ov it gets so much softer, higher and more open.

So cd9 is not too early for things to happen, but the faint lh line doesn't count.

Thanks blamber. I did check my cp last month but I can't remember what day it was so I don't really know what it means for me today. Had better get some vitamin b6 on Saturday then, as I wouldn't want to ovulate and not have any b6 to take afterwards!

Also, no sign of ewcm as yet but am v tired, hot and achy today. Perhaps another sign of impending ovulation!

Note to self- expect spotting/cm 3-4 days prior to arrival of af & do not assume its implantation! Also get the 50 dose B6 in fast!

Can anyone answer my earlier opk question? Been looking online and some people are saying to go from nothing to a faint line can mean it will get darker over the next day or so, some people are saying ignore it and treat it as no line. So confused!

Oh no mama, but I totally know how you feel, I went through it last week!

My understanding is a faint line is a negative only if the line is the same, or darker, than the control line does it count as a positive.

As soon as I got a positive - it did look really different to the others. So once you've had it once - you.l know what to look for.

FX you get it soon!

Choccy - I had positives last month so I know what they look like but am wondering about these faint lines this month. I know they aren't positive though so I'll just keep on going!

Thanks ladies! I understand now that I was dtd at the wrong time given my short (23 days not 22) only dtd once over the time I would have ovulated :/

But choccy glad you pointed that out, I can stay on sept bus with my 23 day cycle as that only takes me up to 27/9. So weird tho as I checked when I should ovulate on ovulation calculator with 23 day cycle and its from 9-13th sept!! Right after af!! :/ but I will def be using opks this time to confirm! So it all begins again.....

New stats: TTC #2, cycle (2 or 3?? This is my 2nd af after coming off pill) BFP due 27th sept (based on 23 day cycle)

Ps I will need to know how these opks work also no clue!

Mama, I feel your pain. I had a short cycle last month but it was a very short luteal phase that did it for me. I'm gonna take b6 this month. When did you start taking it?

Opks should be used every day from cd6, mama.

Just made my boyfriend go out and buy 2 tests as I was so certain based on my crazy symptom spotting and got a bfn AF due 8th :(

I think I'd just got myself too over excited so was disappointed to see bfn! I'm also having some cramping which now I know is almost certainly AF

Thanks VJ according to the ov calculator my fertile window begins on the 9th which is cd 6 so that would be right. How long was your luteal phase?? At least with using opks this time I will know how long mine is. I usually take 10mg per day of b6 anyway but gona up the dose maybe to 30mg and then up again to 50mg after ovulation.

Mine was only 7 days :( Am going to start taking 50mg from this weekend, if it's okay to take it before ovulation?

It shows you every dpo from 0 with the %of people who claimed to have a symptom that turned out to get BFP and those that got BFN. It's fascinating!
