Come one, come all and join our rollicking new thread with slightly updated brand new rules

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Oh sundance I do remember you. Did they scan you at A & E? Are you sure you are miscarrying? My heart goes out to you. To get so far twice is just devastating.
I had a mmc in feb and been ttc ever since with no joy. But I do know people with more than one mc both early and late mc. there was nothing wrong with either parent, just the worst luck. It's so rubbish and so unfair. Big hugs for you and we are here for you.

Bezza2508 · 15/10/2013 08:07

I remember you too sundance. I joined the thread in July, so just as you got pregnant. I'm really sorry this seems to be happening again (although I echo what fedup asked whether they are sure you are miscarrying). I really hope it is just one of those freak pregnancy bleeds that some women have.

I hope you get some clarity at the scan today. I will be thinking of you.

NerdyBird · 15/10/2013 10:22

Hi sundance

I'm sorry you are having such a hard time. I hope you get some answers at the scan today. Sending you lots of good luck.

I have a question about temperatures - today my temperature had dropped by just over half a degree. Am I right in thinking that a drop can indicate AF is in her way?

Bezza2508 · 15/10/2013 10:34

Hi nerdy. I usually have a big temp drop before AF arrives. If it's dropped half a degree, it probably does mean she's on her way, unless you took it at a different time to normal as that can sometimes explain different temps. Really hope I'm wrong and AF doesn't arrive for you.

alyant79 · 15/10/2013 10:39

oh sundance Sad.
how heartbreaking. It's so unfair to get so far along both times. i have a friend who this happened to and she has a lovely 2 year old, so keep positive. it will happen for you too.

I'm sorry for the AFs - and nerdy, yes i'd say that big temp drop probably does indicate AF. At least you are prepared because of all your bfns

I'm 8dpo today and have an incredibly sore back. AF usually arrives on 10dpo with one day of spotting beforehand, so i'm fully expecting bad news again. BOOO. I know it isn't over until it's over and all that, but it's not looking good. I hate my short luteal phase. It MUST make it more difficult for implantation.

Sundance2007 · 15/10/2013 12:04

Thank you. Not much has happened over night, just a continuous dull tummy ache and back to minor spotting. Didn't need to take the codeine (yet).

Have been plonked on sofa all morning and will stay here until my scan appt. dreading it. :(

alyant79 · 15/10/2013 13:02

good luck this afternoon sundance. I hope hope hope hope that the bleeding was just a blip and everything does turn out to be OK afterall

Good luck sundance I have everything crossed for you. X

SeasideLily · 15/10/2013 16:05

I'm so sorry Sundance, I hope your scan brought better news. You poor thing.

Wickedwiggle86 · 15/10/2013 17:11

Thinking of you Sundance, hoping it went ok

NerdyBird · 15/10/2013 17:18

Too much Googling is not a good thing... Now wondering about ovarian cysts as some of the symptoms I have are ones people can have for that.

Think that if things don't sort themselves out by the end of the week I will make a doctor's appointment, just to be on the safe side.

fedupofrainydays · 15/10/2013 17:23

Googling is bad nerdy. But I'm an avid Dr Googler for my sins. If you are worried you can ask dr (real gp I mean!) for a scan to reveal any cysts. That's what I did and ovaries looked normal.

Sundance2007 · 15/10/2013 17:37

Well, safe to say I'm well and truly back here! Scan didn't go well, foetus only measured 8 weeks instead of 11.

Both of us are devastated but it helped that I had an advanced warning too. Got to go back in tomorrow for the tablets and wait for everything to pass. That's going to be fun!

triplespin · 15/10/2013 17:40

sundance fingers crossed that all went well at the scan today. Really hope that you have some positive news.

nerdy yes temp drop usually means AF should arrive within the day. If that does not happen, maybe worth speaking to your GP? Having said that I had very irregular and long cycle and still managed to conceive on cycle 1. Was also scanned for ovarian cysts but was given the all clear. Basically what I am trying to say is that this doesn't really mean anything is wrong. Though I am sure it must be worrying as you want to just get on with the next cycle.

aly hope you manage to avoid AF and get to poas on Friday!

OveranxiousUnderated · 15/10/2013 18:03

So sorry, Sundance Hmm what horrible news. Sending you lots of hugs and strength to get through the next few days. Thanks Xx

triplespin · 15/10/2013 19:02

sundance so very sorry to hear that. I hope you have good support IRL to get you through this.

SeasideLily · 15/10/2013 19:21

Oh Sundance, that's awful. Sending strength too for the next few days, and onwards, so sorry for you and your DH.

alyant79 · 15/10/2013 19:55

Oh sundance :(
So so so sorry. Make sure you have lots of tlc over the next few days.

sundance that's such sad news Sad big hugs for you and we are all here for you to help keep up the posifrickintivity when youre ready, which I imagine is pretty non existent for you right now.

Bezza2508 · 15/10/2013 21:12

I'm so sorry sundance. I can't imagine how devastated you must be. It is just so, so cruel.

NerdyBird · 15/10/2013 23:00

sundance really sorry to hear your news. Hope tomorrow isn't too awful. Take care of yourself x

SuzyBean · 15/10/2013 23:07

I'm so sorry to hear that Sundance. Something that I try to take comfort from is that both my mum and MIL had 3 mc each and both ended up with 3 children each. It will happen for you, you will hold your baby in your arms. X
