Come one, come all and join our rollicking new thread with slightly updated brand new rules

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Sorry for the BFNs Sad
I'm really not sure what's going on here. I was in hospital last week (on 2nd) with retained products stuck in my cervix. Bleeding was down to just pink discharge by sun and got a bfn. Also had ewcm on sun (and dtd for the first time) but then the bleeding has been increasing since then as has the pain. I started ov tests on tues and got a +ive yesterday.
I'm confused Confused any ideas?

NerdyBird · 11/10/2013 23:59

Well, did another test and still BFN. Did an OPK too just for the hell of it as I've heard that can show pregnancy. There was a line on that but a faint one so negative.
I'm going to do one last test tomorrow.

Then I think I am just going to have to take it at face value and that I am not pregnant. Otherwise I think I'll go mad!

fairy i don't know what might be going on with you but bleeding and pain doesn't sound right so I would see a doctor or call NHS direct or something. Hope you're ok

fedupofrainydays · 12/10/2013 07:16

Hi fairy sorry to hear that. How did they get out the retained products? If you had an erpc then they told me not to have sex for two weeks due to risk of infection so maybe hold off for a bit as you could have an infection- either from retained products or the sex. If its still odd ask them to scan you again to check there isn't still retained products up there. Or if you have a sore cervix the prodding from sex might have set it off bleeding again. I would have a rest from the sex and if in a few days its still bleeding / painful then I would go back to dr / EPU. I know it's tough when you want to start ttc again. I always wonder if I ignored their advice and had dtd when I had ewcm in the 2 weeks after erpc that I would be pregnant again and not still waiting now!

nerdy I'm so sorry this is all so confusing for you. :( I'm going to temp this month so I get some clarity over when that egg finally shifts as I only use opks and wonder how accurate they are!

ArkadyRose · 12/10/2013 08:30

AF finally showed up this morning with a vengence, so that's me back to day one again. sigh

SeasideLily · 12/10/2013 09:10

Oh arse ark, sorry to hear that.

NerdyBird · 12/10/2013 10:05

ark that is rubbish, hope you have something nice to do this weekend to cheer you up.

I did another two tests this morning. Even did the whole leaving the sample to get to room temp thing. OPK still faint line, HPT still negative. Thought I saw a hint of a line on the HPT but on checking again it must have been a shadow. No AF yet.

Counting myself out for this month. Even if I'd ovulated late, the IC HPT ought to have picked something up by now I'd have thought.

fedupofrainydays · 12/10/2013 12:31

Bummer ark sorry to hear that.

I think I'm going to have an early ov again this month as only cd 4 but I can feel it brewing. Or my body is just so screwed... Who knows. Cd 8 has been my earliest ov so don't want to beat that this month please.

ArkadyRose · 12/10/2013 14:39

I've a party to go to this evening and I'm playing the (newly-repaired!) flute in church on Sunday, so that should help cheer me up. And my new digi thermometer & pack of cheapie opks turned up this morning, so I can start temping.

NerdyBird · 12/10/2013 17:20

Hmm. Having said I wouldn't, I've just done a superdrug OPK as I've run out of cheap ones. This one looks positive. Don't know what to think. I did spend rather a while googling OPK as pregnancy test earlier...

Also meant to dye my hair this arvo while DP is out, but ended up having a 2 and a half hour nap instead. Oops.

Bezza2508 · 12/10/2013 18:28

Ooh nerdy, I'm getting excited! An unexpected 2 hour nap was my first clue I was pregnant last time!

Sorry AF has arrived ark, that is rubbish.

I was at a wedding yesterday and my cousin who got married about 6 months ago announced that she's 4 months pregnant. I had to take myself off to the toilet to have a quiet moment to digest the news. On a more positive note, I had a positive opk this morning (CD13) which is what I was getting pre MC but last month I didn't have a positive opk until about CD23.

triplespin · 13/10/2013 09:07

nerdy that sounds very promising. At the risk of fish slaps, I would say you should test again!!

NerdyBird · 13/10/2013 10:09

I did test again. BFN.
So I did two on friday, one yesterday (we were out for dinner and had to decide whether to drink) and one this morning. All negative.
I am only using cheap ones as reluctant to fork out only to get another negative, but not sure if that would make a difference.

ducks to avoid fish

SuzyBean · 13/10/2013 11:03

Well that's me out this month. AF has put in an appearance 4 days early.

triplespin · 13/10/2013 11:18

Sorry to hear that suzy

nerdy bizarre about bfn but positive on opk and no sight of AF.

Ff changed my ovulation date to cd 17 and now it all lines up with my opks. I will be 9 dpo on Friday so may poas just because we are off to Italy next weekend and it would help to know just in case I need to avoid cheese and wine!

Emki · 13/10/2013 20:27

Evening ladies, just wanted to share the most bizarre dream I had last night. Aly held a party and we all went - with partners and we were all pregnant, it so weird to meet everyone and thinking how much we all know about each others sex lives and partners.... anyway wanted to share as I was very confused when I woke up -

Fingers crossed for a bumper October with lots of BFPs towards the end of the month and November xx

fedupofrainydays · 13/10/2013 20:49

Ha ha. Thanks makes me laugh! I wish it was true though (even knowing about all my cm, dtd schedule and obsession with breaking open hpt's...!

SeasideLily · 13/10/2013 20:59

Haha! Hopefully it's prophetic about us all being pg at least- that would be a good excuse for a party!

Wickedwiggle86 · 14/10/2013 10:54

I need 2 fish slaps. AF not even due until sat but got overenthusiastic after what could possibly have been IB and my mashed potato tasting like stainless steel (a strange indicator, but happened last time to). Obviously all bfn as far too early. Need some self control! How is everybody today?

SeasideLily · 14/10/2013 11:31

A cod around the chops wiggle! Liking those symptoms though, hope Friday brings fish-free good news.

NerdyBird · 14/10/2013 13:47

Hello

I tried two tests today awaits fish

One IC, one Boots own brand. Still BFN.
i am still feeling nausea from time to time, and had a cheeky nap when we had a break from decorating yesterday. Oh, and getting quite a bit of EWCM-ish discharge, which was a definite symptom for me before. But perhaps it's just coincidence this time.

I've never not had my period and not been pg, so I was wondering if I should go to the doctor if AF hasn't turned up in the next couple of days.
I know that some people with PCOS don't always have a period, but it's not happened to me before. I've mentioned it to my acupuncturist too, as I am due to have a treatment this week and don't know if I should.

It's very annoying, I just wish she'd turn up and be done with it now - am not really holding out much hope that I am pg.

Wickedwiggle86 · 14/10/2013 14:40

nerdy how late are you? no fish slap from me, would be rather hypocritical!

wingandtalon · 14/10/2013 14:41

Hello all,

I had a MMC that was picked up at my 12 week scan in September and chose to have it medically managed. We've waited until AF reappeared to start TTC again. AF arrived on saturday and I have really mixed emotions about it. I'm glad it's here because it means that my fertility has returned, but I can't help associating losing blood with the lost pregnancy. There's been a lot of tears this weekend. Hey ho, at least we can get back to DTD now.

NerdyBird · 14/10/2013 15:23

Hi wiggle

AF should have arrived on Wednesday CD35, but nothing so far so 5 days late now.

Wickedwiggle86 · 14/10/2013 22:31

Hi wing, sorry you're here but hopefully it won't be for long (in the nicest possible way!) Onwards and upwards :) nerdy, that's definitely very odd, hopefully it's nothing wrong just AF playing silly buggers

Sundance2007 · 14/10/2013 23:23

Some of you may remember me, I mc at 12+3 in march and was on here for 5 months, getting pg in July - I'm currently at 11 + 4

Today I woke up with cramps, and then brown spotting which has now graduated to fresh blood. I've just got back from A&E, after last time I wanted to make sure I was equipped with better pain relief, they have sent me home with codeine.
By coincidence, my 12 week scan is booked in for tomorrow afternoon which I have to attend to make sure that whatever happens is confirmed/complete.

I'm not clotting yet, it's just like a mild period, pain is bearable so far but I could be in for a long night!! We are so devastated, to get so far along both times....has anyone else had this? Twice?

I hadn't allowed myself to get as excited this time round, but the frustration at being set back by so any more months is just heartbreaking. I just want to be a mummy!!!
