Still here, still ttc, still POAS, still symptom spotting, still counting days, still temping, still shagging and still absolutely nutty!!!

OP posts:
misshoohaa · 07/09/2013 14:43

Sorry 2be, Enjoy a large vino and some AF treats. I think OPKs work for different people in different ways. Personally the month I used them I loved them! Until I got AF, which made me even more cross that we shagged at the right time and it still didn't happen, that turned me off them a bit so whilst useful to get a guide, I don't think I'll be using them for a little while again.

Geta - that dedication is impressive, getting your POAS fix is most important! Impressive technique. I have been known to so a test in the work loos when pregnant with DS1, sometimes these things have to be done. Grin

Enjoy your hols Fedup.

How's things Muzzy and G&T? Feeling good! So pleased we got some good news.

GandTnow · 07/09/2013 16:32

Stronger line today. Smile Really sorry to hear af got you 2be and for all the bfns.

I have really strong cramps today and back pain, don't really remember if I had this last time. Also seem to have no energy. Is it possible I'm getting bigger already? My jeans just feel really tight. Blush.

hoping for some more bfps soon.

geta so impressed with the logistics of this move! Well played!

Liquidambar · 07/09/2013 19:39

sorry to hear that af arrived 2be. but looking on the bright side the sooner it arrives the sooner you'll be back in the game. Fingers crossed that the next one will be the lucky one Smile

muzzy and gandtnow glad the lines are getting stronger! You are the examples that it's possible

can't see the names but welcome to the newbies.

got Shock I'm so impressed with your technique! ! as you said all in the name of ttc!

I have been having some cramps and backache but that can be just AF arriving. I'm just slightly confused (sorry tmi) about a very very light pink discharge. I never had it before my period. Af is due on Monday or Tuesday but if this continues I might test again tomorrow morning. But at the same time it sounds silly and I should simply wait for AF. grrrr....

AbiBub · 08/09/2013 00:35

Hey ladies

Sorry 2be about af getting you. Big hugz. Hopefully your cycles will stick to one length and that af buggers off do you can get on with dtd.

Sorry to hear about other bfn too, my phone wont let me go further back and having a trouble remembering at this time! !

G&t congrats on the bfp, hopefully yours and muzzys bfp will start a trend for the up and coming months.

Fedup hope you have a fabby holiday! Enjoy and relax! My scan is a week this monday, so hoping everything is ok.

Muzzy glad the line is darker! I am 11weeks today and still suffering with nausea :0 (

Miss, thanks gor asking. Bump actually looking bigger today and oh lordy clothes not fitting and my belly button has stretched! ! :0/

Liquid, im just wondering and I don't want to get your hopes up, but could the light pink be imp bleeding? Im keeping pinkies crossed that it is.

Ladies im still lurking as just want to see how you're all getting on. I hope you dont mind?

Big hugz and still keeping my fx for all of you! ! :0)

Liquidambar · 08/09/2013 07:44

thanks abi . I've tested again this morning and it was bfn. I'll stop testing and wait.

glad all is well with you

hope everyone is having a good weekend

onelittlepiglet · 08/09/2013 15:48

Hi everyone

Sorry about your bfn amber but fingers crossed it was just too early.

2be - sorry AF got you.

Miss - are you about 7dpo now? If so we are poas buddies! Although I'm not going to bother this month until AF is actually late (if she is). Wasted too much mental energy on it last month and I hate the disappointment of a bfn.

So this is our 6th month of actively ttc #2. We've decided to keep trying for another 6 naturally but possibly try and get some tests around Christmas if nothing has happened by then. I can pretty much guarantee that it won't have - I have a feeling that there is something just not right. No idea what we would do after this. It's something I have stupidly never considered. Maybe we just have to accept it isn't meant to be.

threepiecesuite · 08/09/2013 16:42

Hi all
Well I closely followed this months mass poas but was a few days behind, af arrived today though so I'm out. Another month gone.
Going to book doctor appt this week as that was our 18th go so im assuming something is wrong. Regular cycles and dtd lots so maybe a blockage or something. Need to accept there may be a problem.

misshoohaa · 08/09/2013 21:26

Three - good luck with the Dr, hope you get some answers. 18 months seems long enough for them to take some action, so hope you get some answers and then a swift BFP to follow!

Those that are seeing/contemplating GPs did you do a check-in at some point? We're on month 5, and wondering if a GP visit now is worthwhile just so they have notes that we are TTC? I'd hate to get to a year or so, prep myself for the Dr doing some tests and them telling me to give it a few more months.

Piglet - I think I am about 6 days post ovulation but not too sure. Due AF in about a week so like you I'm going to try and wait till I'm late. Unlikely as I have a FR test in the draw. Feeling typically pregnant of course, sore nipples, AF pain, nausea..... But of course I get these symptoms every month so it means jack s**t!
Always keen for a POAS buddy! Grin

2beornot · 08/09/2013 23:01

Hi everyone! Thanks for the sympathies.

A short cycle means we can get on with it ASAP and I'm lucky that AF never hangs around long. I should ovulate next Monday so will start dtd soon. Have told DH that this months schedule is up to him! I know he'll forget to google though so it'll be up to me as usual!!

It's never occurred to me that there could be something wrong. Getting pregnant with dd was first cycle and with mmc was 4 cycles so I just assumed it'll work. It's only been 2 cycles since mmc so not that long! I hope those of you
Going to docs have a sympathetic one x

Ambar - sorry its another bfn. I hope you're not feeling too disheartened. Hugs.

Liquidambar · 09/09/2013 08:59

2be I'm glad you will start dtd very soon. exciting times! ! ! You won't be my poas buddy for next cycle, but all for a good reasonSmile

threepiece welcome. sorry to hear you are having such a hard time. I'm sure the Dr will help you to get a bfp soon

miss and one keep positive. I hope you can soon announce your bfp.

Af is due today or tomorrow but no signs. I want it to arrive so I can start a new fresh cycle. I will try not to test next month. This weekend has been an emotional roller coaster with mixed signals, evaporation lines (superdrug tests gave me very convincing evaporation lines more than once Shock ).
I think I'll try the evening primrose, this cycle. Where can I buy it?

Hope everyone will have a good week

KPidgeon · 09/09/2013 17:24

I got evening primrose capsules from Boots liquid. Been taking them since AF stopped and will stop after I've ovulated for the 2ww.

We took our DS camping for the first time on the weekend! Was lovely but cold.. why did we wait until the weekend the weather went Autumnal overnight?! Anyway DS was toasty warm and slept beautifully- it was me and DH that felt the cold. Was a fab adventure though so we will def. go again in the Spring.

That helped me unwind though I did miss red wine and a morning coffee I have to say!

I've also bought a second hand foot spa to help me relax! My mum is convinced relaxing is the key.... we shall see!

Liquidambar · 10/09/2013 08:19

thanks Kp. I'll stop at boots today. The weekend sounds really nice. how old is your DS? And the SPA... really nice as well. Enjoy!

AF has made its appearance. To be honest I'm not gutted, it means I can start again. I know relaxing is very important and I'm very stressed at the moment. I will try to meditate a little bit before bed time to unwind.

hope everyone is well.

misshoohaa · 10/09/2013 21:02

Liquid. Sorry AF turned up but well done for being positive.

Boo. I broke POAS this morning. BFN BFN BFN. Think I'm only about 7/8 days post ovulation so might be too early but got that feeling it isn't going to happen.

How's our pregnant folk? Muzzy, G&T - update us with your happy news. Smile can we be bitterly jealous of your morning sickness yet!?

onelittlepiglet · 10/09/2013 22:46

Miss - don't lose hope it's very early to test! Fx for the next few days.

Liquid - sorry abut AF.

What does evening primrose oil do or help with? Just wondering if it's worth taking that!

I was reading about another charting site called ovufriend, and I signed up just out of interest and it's given me a completely different ovulation day this month from FF. so it thinks I ovulated on cd17 rather than cd14. (it is basing it on positive opks and ewcm I think, plus I did have a slight temp rise that day.).

Do any of you use ovufriend and do you think it's any good?

It means that AF won't be due for me until next Thursday so I must hold out testing until then rather than this weekend. How annoying!

2beornot · 11/09/2013 08:19

Liquid - sorry AF got you too. But Yey! Means you can start the fun part again!

Miss - fingers crossed but we are normally quite intuitive About these things. I hope you're wrong though.

One - you're very strong not testing! Fx for you.

I'm about to start dtd again tonight. DH has decided the schedule this month (!) how smug will he be if it works (and I really won't care at all)

2beornot · 11/09/2013 08:20

Oh and I will be on holiday on 7 dpo-11dpo so won't be able to test early! Ideal timing!

KPidgeon · 11/09/2013 17:54

Hi girls. Advice please. We were away camping Sat so didn't actually start DTD til Sunday... Did it Sunday, Monday and last night and I thought I was due to ovulate today though OPKs aren't showing that.

I had really light spotting today. (pinkish blood) just a few spots in knickers (sorry TMI) this is TOO early for implantation bleed isn't it? Just thinking if I actually ovulated on Saturday and it worked on Sunday could an implantation bleed happen this early? Probably not. If not what on earth is this spotting?

Oh dear. I had really hoped that body was back to normal.

muzzy1 · 11/09/2013 19:29

Hi girls hope everyone doing ok.
K that is strange about the spotting but i do think it would be too early for implantation if conception was Sunday....I think it has to be at least 6 days after. Were you doing OPK's over the weekend? I'd keep DTD in case you haven't ovulated yet.

Sorry I can't look back on my phone but whoever asked about evening primrose oil it helps with ewcm to get the sperm through! I used to take 2 so it was 1000 of whatever it is.

Miss you are still very early to test so don't lost hope!

I'm ok but have zero symptoms really except terrible skin and constantly feel like either crying or killing someone! Still only 5.3 days! Has time stood still or something?!

Liquidambar · 11/09/2013 20:29

KP I sometimes have a little bleed in between periods, usually about ovulation. But could you have a had shorter cycle and ovulated earlier? Implantation bleeding is usually one week after ovulation

Miss I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, you might have tested too soon

2be how exciting! Good luck Smile I have a feeling this will be your cycle!

one I have never used ovufriend. I like this page (if you have regular cycles)

muzzy I hardly had any symptoms with DC. It was a bit annoying because I wanted to "feel" pregnant. Glad everything is okay.

misshoohaa · 11/09/2013 20:42

Ha Muzzy that made me chuckle, I think the 12 week wait is the most frustrating thing ever. With DS it draaaagggggged on forever! Enjoy your secret though, sending morning sickness vibes your way.

Kpigeon could it be bleeding from the frequent shagging? Sounds too early for implant bleeding as you say.

Well my symptom spotting has gone to a whole other level of bonkers. Today my nipples were hideously itchy for about 3 hours. So I have now googled the shit out of that symptom. GrinI don't feel hugely hungry like I usually do AF so that's good for the waistline if nothing else.

Think the old witch is due over the weekend so am going to enjoy my disillusioned world of pregnancy for a few more days. Tesco had sold out of cheap tests so took that as a sign to wait. My B6 intake could be the reason for no AF symptoms as hopefully my cycle will have been extended to compensate for my short luteal phase.

Hope all is well with everyone else!

fedupofrainydays · 12/09/2013 20:12

Hi ladies from Portugal! Hope you are ok. Internet quite crap so can't really see all posts but sorry about af 2be

I had big argument with DH today who was fed up of me being miserable and I completely broke down as he doesn't feel like I do about tomorrow and the would be due date. He doesnt understand why ive not moved on. Think we are ok now and I told him how I feel which I've not really done so all good. Am feeling the pressure to be happy now though, partic as its also dh's birthday tomorrow. Tough!

Constantly on knicker watch for af too. Sucks. Plus have a spot boil on my chin that is so painful it looks hideous! Oh well, I don't know anyone here.

Otherwise we are having a lovely holiday despite the whinge, sorry ladies! Cocktails, sun, pool and a very happy ds make it great.

OP posts:
Liquidambar · 13/09/2013 09:00

fedup I'm glad you are enjoying your holidays despite the emotional weight of today's date. But focus on Dh's birthday. Thinking of you.

miss keep us posted on how you are doing over the weekend and well done for not poas early.

On my phone, so can't see everyone's names. but hope everyone is well.

Miserable day up here... rain, rain...

KeepTheCarRunning · 13/09/2013 10:52

fedup holiday in Portugal sounds delicious, I'm well jealous Grin - although I understand the weight of today.

4dpo here, I have a ton of work to do and I'm procrastinating like mad and googling early very very very early pg symptoms... argh...

can't remember who mentioned the Evening Primrose, but I'll def look into that!
Can I ask another question? Has anyone tried taking/heard of taking aspirin? In my google-tour, I came across that as a way to help implantation, but I'm not sure I want to take that kind of drugs regularly... Has anyone heard about that?

misshoohaa · 13/09/2013 13:16

Hey fedup thinking of you today, hope you and DH have made up and enjoy the hols, you are right to be thinking this day is going to be a struggle, I think any of us would feel exactly the same, so hope you get through it OK.

keep not heard of asprin, as you say I think that would be a bit too chemical for me, but interesting if you find out any more info!

So AF is due today or tomorrow, I feel pregnant. Scared to write that as I don't want to get my hopes up, but also don't want to test again - feeling quite nice not having a BFN ruining things.

My boobs feel really heavy, my right nipple is itchy and sore, also a pulling feeling right down low in my ambdomen that I think I remember from DS and I don't feel like eating, I also had a bit of thrush earlier on post ovulation which I think is another symptom.

Going to be very sad if AF does get me in the next 24 hours! Gosh it's a struggle, want to test as I want that BFP but so scared to test as well. Luckily I haven't got any in the house!

KeepTheCarRunning · 13/09/2013 18:41

Oooh miss that sounds promising Grin hoping for a positive update tomorrow!
