We've been ttc for fe months, before NTNP. However now I'm starting to feel the pressure for BFP.

Only ten days! Came off the pill last month so just hoping I am going to ovulate this month! You?

That's not for long! I'm a while longer, it'll be 5 months so far. Are you temping? It's helpful

No, not temping because I don't even own a thermometer! Am using daily opks and dtd every one or two days but will temp in the future if I feel I need some extra help.

I started temping recently, it's really helpful, I recommend it. I'm using ovufriend.com it stores all your cycles in one place, you can print it when you go to the doctor, and has a lot of nice info. I hadn't realized a lot before i started using it! Ask me if you have any questions.
But most important, take it all easy!

Thanks for the help. I'll just worry the whole time because that's what I'm like :( Main concern is coming off the pill and how long it'll take to start ovulating again.

No reason to be stressed, plenty of women get pregnant after pills, or even while on pills :) Give your body some time, and it'll get back to normal. I'd advise you to make some observations, it's always helpful and you actually may find it comforting.

Hi, Ive just signed up myself, been ttc for 10 months now! I came off the pill last September and finally had my first ov and period last month!! I am not temping but I am using OPK's got a smiley face this morning!

Thanks :) , I have read these posts for a while and haven't seen anyone's take as long as mine so i'm sure yours will be fine! Justb is right though take it easy! Once you get to know your cycle it takes a lot of the worry away!

Hi woodwaj can I just ask did you not have a period for 10 months? I stopped pill at the end of may, had withdrawal, then a short period in July & now nothing for 42days, I'm starting to think I'm not going to have one this month, it's starting to freak me out as I really want one so I can 'get on with things'

Hi em, I had my withdrawal when I stopped the pill in Sept, and then nothing until last month! I think the most annoying part is because everyone is so different its hard to find advice online, I ended up going to the docs after 8 months, As I said above I haven't read anyone taking as long as me so i'm sure you will be fine you've already had more than I did! Let me know how its going! :)

Hi all, I'm a newbie to all of this as well. We finally made the big decision to ttc. Stopped the pill end of July after 10 years, so not sure if everything is working properly but couldn't resist using an OPK. I know it's a bit early for that but i got my first flashing smiley face today which has made me happy, I guess something must be happening!

That's great VickyVix, I am on day 2 of Flashing smiley faces!! Ive been reading other threads and by the sounds of it, it could flash for a good few days before its a fixed smiley! Keep us posted, We may be testing at the same time!

Hi justb01 I am a newbie. TTC #1 and on 2nd cycle. Just started a thread about my madness of thinking about it all of the time even though it is only early days for us. Not using ovulation kits yet just trying to DTD lots around estimated time. Can't believe how all consuming it becomes in your everyday life!

Day 3 Flashy face for me! Fingers crossed for a fixed tomorrow! Will you count your TWW from the fixed smiley date?

Diamonds - don't try to estimate ovulation time,just dtd every two days through the whole month :) (missing out AF time though,if you want to)

I'm already fed up of opks. Have loads of symptoms but it's been negative every day.

Hi Diamondsareagirls! I also felt pressure at the beginning, but now I'm actively trying to convince myself that it won't help anybody! Neither me nor my DH nor the future baby. As long as you have fun DTD it's fine. But if not that much it's better to know when it's best to do it!
So I just take temps to get to know my body and try to change my diet.

Hi JustB01, I'm on TTC #1. Got of the pill at the beginning of the year, but did not start trying until my last cycle which began July 19th.

DTD July 28 - 31st, then started my 2wk wait. AF was due Aug 14th but no show. POAS but BFN. And then AF arrived Aug 15th, so I'm out for August.

Will try again in this cycle and hope for the best.

Hi Keden! Well, I had faint opk lines on cd8 & 9 but nothing since then (now cd15) but I have had symptoms which could be caused by several things really! How about you?
