The smallprint - Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooh we are strict...please note your house may be at risk if you do not keep up repayments lol

Hey berries, sorry for being quiet, it's been a manic weekend packing up house. Friday was a crazy day where on top of promotion we exchanged contracts on house and move this friday...whoop whoop! Mr Pixie has just realised he's packed his hair gel and fretting about going to work with a fluff ball on his head! Ha ha. Twit.

Amazing news on bfp tally!

Thanks for link boodle. Bit of a distance for me but has some useful info.

Hiya rum I'm also a newbie to the berry crew. Not a hcp nor do I have a cat. Or dog. Nor am I a teacher and I still got let in?! Sorry to hear you've had such a long journey.

merk where you going in thailand? Have you been before? I went about 6 yrs ago and love love loved it! Envy

This phone's rubbish for copy paste-would someone add me to list pls? pixie been ttc for 13 mths, going through blood tests and now fully equipped with berry advice to influence my GP to sort me out and get me upduffed

What an exciting weekend it has been on here! Well done Tally and here's to a smooth journey Wine
Amusingly I am a hcp, brunette with a dog. Hahaha! Will update stats list when on laptop tomorrow.
...I have a feeling there may be more bfp's over the next week! Not for me unfortunately as I'm just cycle day 5.

RevoltingPeasant · 11/08/2013 23:39

Oh gosh Boodle I answer to anything... DH actually calls me "monster" which I think slightly horrifies MIL.... And my family call me "Nero"... So peasant is quite civilised!!

I thought egg could live for 24 hours so dtd the day of OV was worthwhile.... If not I might spare poor ole DH. I was telling him the other day he'll look like one of those Victorian anti masturbation posters, all shrivelled up before his time from too much indulgence...

Spent today relieving my feelings with some highly inexpert DIY.

charming I don't know about squirts but my instadiffy friend reckons that shagging fewer times at targeted points is better as sperm quality gets lowered after multiple shags.... But dunno if this is right!,

barkingtreefrog · 12/08/2013 02:00

Boodle It was just pre fb - we were all saying what we imagined each other to look like!

barkingtreefrog · 12/08/2013 02:19

RP yep, the egg hangs around looking for swimmers for up to 24 hours post Ov so it's not too late if you've just ovulated! Ideally shag week should start 5 days pre O and continue until the day after O to cover all your chances. Just one dtd in this week could potentially hit the jackpot!

BlindKitty · 12/08/2013 06:13

boodle I think it was bunny who noticed our similarities a while back. I'm thinking no to the show. I'm envisaging it being like the wedding show with lots of crazed women trying to bag wedding dresses, but replacing the wedding dresses for babies unless of course theres one in brum

Boomgoestheweasel · 12/08/2013 07:43

Morning berries!

Boodle...not that I'm stalking you...but..?

So much for hoping Boomdog II could hold it in...another morning clearing up poo. Starting to despair...Mr Boom won't even hear about giving him back and I'm fed up to the back teeth of getting up in the middle of the night to clear up shit, then doing the same thing first thing in the morning. My house stinks, my carpet is ruined, ARGHHH.

Kitty oh god, fighting over the last turkey baster..

Charming I think 'reload' time depends on sperm count - if swimmers are plentiful then every day is fine, if not they need time to regroup so eod is better x

Pixie great news on the house!

Boomgoestheweasel · 12/08/2013 07:54

Oh good. Massive screaming argument with Mr Boom about bloody dog. Now in tears. Happy Monday everyone Sad

Tallyra · 12/08/2013 07:59

Hug!!!!!!

Thundercatsarego · 12/08/2013 08:02

Oh no boom, these situations can be so stressful and emotional. Have messaged you back about the dogs.

boodle???

Starkin · 12/08/2013 08:09

Found you :-) thanks for that

Bunnygirlie · 12/08/2013 08:22

Sorry to hear boomdog II is bad, hugs x

Warning, the next post is seriously me me me

Wallowing in self pity here, LRW revealed that the bitch has landed , I am so angry and upset. I went to take my folic acid as usual this morning, then it dawned on me, I threw it on the floor, shouted what's the point and burst into tears!

Why is it that even though you know she's coming it's still so upsetting when she actually gets here?!? Why is each months period run up so fecking different, mother nature sure does love to mess with our heads!

So many questions. Why isn't it happening for us? Am i a bad person? What is the point?

OP posts:
Pixie001 · 12/08/2013 08:24

Oh boom what a nightmare start to the week! Does mr boom not take responsibility for the poo given he's the one that so wants to keep boomdogII? Is this norm behavious for a dog still settling in?

Starkin · 12/08/2013 08:24

As mentioned on the old thread.....got the docs later and I'm fretting it'll be bad news, convinced he'll tell me I can't have children :-(

So attempting to distract myself with my sunburn.....right arm is burning and yes I am dumb, ' oh the colds are out I don't need cream' never again!

Boodle9 · 12/08/2013 08:31

BFN. Think this cycle is game over, but at least I had a better LP.

SidneyBristow · 12/08/2013 09:35

Oh Bunny. We all know exactly how you feel. none of this is fair, and none of this is any indication of your worth as a person, or how much you 'deserve' a baby, or how great a mother you'd be. If any of that came into play, then the three-generation-strong family of chavs following us around the grocery store yesterday wouldn't exist. These clowns were yelling about how they didn't eat vegetables and didn't even know what spinach looked like; one of them had red lipstick kiss prints tattooed on each of her cheeks Shock and yet there they were, pushing two little babies around in prams.

All we can do is the best we can do, and sometimes that includes crying and throwing vitamins and wallowing on the SoP. It's ok. You will feel better. And one day you'll get what you want; we all will. Some days are tougher than others. You will feel better, but til then, big hugs Thanks

SidneyBristow · 12/08/2013 10:06

Boom sounds like Mr Boom needs to take on more responsibility for BoomerII. Bristowpooch went through a loooong phase where he got up needing the toilet 3-4x a night. Enduring broken sleep for a dog you adore is hard enough - for a dog you're not yet attached to, I can imagine it's nigh on impossible. FWIW the main thing that made the diff to Bristowpooch was changing where he sleeps - doggie now sleeps happily downstairs all by himself, rather than in our bedroom. Maybe changing sleeping arrangements is an idea?

Boodle sorry AF has arrived. A longer LP is a huge step in the right direction...progress is a big silver lining. You're getting closer!

Starkin hi, I don't think we've met, but we could be twins - I had a mega sunburn a few weeks and I'm now a peeling wreck, and I kind of dread the blood test I have on Thurs for the same reason: scared to be told it's a no-go. You'll feel better after the appt is over. Chin up, let us know how it goes! Thanks

RP boom is right, loads of shagging is fine if there aren't any sperm issues, otherwise EOD is the way to go, from what I've read. God help me & MrSid if our sources were wrong!!

Our TTC shagathon is coming to a close; hopefully our timing was just right even though FF keeps deleting my temps and revising my temp chart, so still hasn't given me crosshairs. Would really love to know for sure that I ov'd 3 days ago so I could relax but sadly I'm pitifully dependent on an app to give me the green-light to stop. What a saddo!!

Boodle9 · 12/08/2013 10:11

Star, good luck for your appointment and Bunny, so sorry for AF.

Sid, AF hasn't turned up but surely just a matter of time. I'm 14 dpo so really should have seen a BFP this morning if things were to be. (I know that it's not over until AF turns up but I can feel things starting to cramp up properly so she is surely imminent.)

Bunnygirlie · 12/08/2013 10:27

Thank you sid for your lovely words, I shed a tear they were that lovely x

boodle sorry to hear it looks like she is going to get you too, maybe we can be cycle buddies next month too

Welcome Rum and Peasent.

Bunny, I know just how you feel. It's not fair. We do everything right, have sex at the right time, take all the supplements, eat the right food, live a healthy life style, yet we still see so many women who get knocked up every week by the bins behind McDonald's.

At Bin towers the visiting friends with their 2 year old managed to put Mr Bin off having children all together and I had to talk him round last night.
Egg collection should have been happening today but was cancelled. I had to go back for a blood test this morning and I need to wait on the results of that to see when it will actually happen now. Chances are it will be Wednesday.

RevoltingPeasant · 12/08/2013 10:52

Aww Bunny. I know what you mean: I totally had the same thing this morning!! I took my folic acid but also my hayfever meds which you shouldn't if you're pg. But I just know I'm not. We only dtd properly once this month, 4ish days before OV and my body remains stubbornly symptomless.

Boodle .... I know just how you feel.... you get one baby step closer on one cycle, and then you think maybe! maybe! But it isn't it, and then you have to console yourself with the idea that at least this was a 'normal' cycle even if it happened not to work......

GAH! Also the only person in the office today as everyone else is on holidays.

But. We should all count our blessings, really, I guess. DSis3 just got in touch to say her endometriosis is so bad they think she may have to have a hysterectomy. She is only 30 :(

RevoltingPeasant · 12/08/2013 10:54

......Actually

This might be a good place to ask this Q.

I have been thinking for ages that if DSis3 cannot have DC naturally (she and her H have been trying for 3+ years) then maybe I should volunteer to act as a surrogate?

Does anyone know, if she has a hysterectomy, can they collect her eggs beforehand, fertilise them, and implant them into a surrogate?

If so, should I say this to her? I feel like it might make things easier for her but also I don't want to raise this if it's not possible as it could be such a big let-down.......

SidneyBristow · 12/08/2013 11:34

Boodle sorry to have jumped the gun; a BFN is gutting but it's not over til AF shows up, so who knows? Still very pleased for you that your LP was markedly longer.

Pip how are you feeling? I had thought overstimulation was quite painful but since you haven't mentioned it, I'm hoping you're alright, just aggravated that the timetable has changed a little. Hopefully on Weds everything will be just right and the transfer will go swimmingly!!

Bunny sorry to have made you teary but I do hope you feel better soon!

RP funny you mention this; my sister has considered having a hysterectomy and asked if I wanted any of her eggs in advance. I do think it's possible, but maybe a way to broach the subject without offering just yet is to simply ask if she's considered surrogacy as a means to motherhood?
