The smallprint - Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooh we are strict...please note your house may be at risk if you do not keep up repayments lol

OP posts:
CatsCantFlyFast · 29/08/2013 08:44

Definitely! If your OPK was positive yesterday, you could O between this morning and tomorrow morning, plus 24 hours after that. So I would say keep shagging til Saturday as a minimum

Thundercatsarego · 29/08/2013 09:17

kitty so glad it went well and how exciting!!

bunny well done on the boinking- sounds like you're on target with it.

yorkiebilb · 29/08/2013 10:08

pip thinking of you. Hugs

bunny defo go for a Friday boink!

I'm impressed with the resources you have at your disposal kitty. How do you resist the urge not to spend all your time in there?! (Showing my crazy obsessive side there!) yes I'd read multicystic is not an issue unless its accompanied by hormonal problems. I guess my fsh and low progesterone would suggest hormonal problems. It's just so confusingly contradictory that my fsh is high and so is my amh!

merk thunder nice to see you both. Hope the buns are cooking nicely!

SidneyBristow · 29/08/2013 10:37

kitty really happy it went well. that's interesting about your scans and the consultant's idea about what's been going on. maybe it'll be easily solved and you can be off on the 'copter soon!

yorkie doesn't hurt to ask!

Kitty sounds like you are on top of things, haha

Gil sorry about AF, no ideas on how to handle the upcoming tests but maybe i'll bump into you in the FC waiting room as that seems to be just around the corner for me too. not sure whether to be happy or sad about that, really.

Just thought I'd update in case anyone ever reads this and finds it encouraging. Our NHS FC referral was made in mid-July 2013, and the first available appointment they had was Jan 30 2014. Two weeks ago they offered me an appt on Dec 12 2013, and now this morning they've offered me one on Sat Sept 7. Our appt at the private FC for hycosy/AFC/consultation is on Sept 2, so it's very lucky indeed as I'll be able to bring results to the NHS appt and find out if they have anything to offer us (probably not), and can move forward with them or with a private clinic without wondering if waiting a few more months til a Dec appt would've made any difference.

yorkiebilb · 29/08/2013 11:47

That's great sid glad you have a cancellation and you're not stuck until end of the year wondering what is going on. The waiting is so hard.

BlindKitty · 29/08/2013 12:29

bunny maybe if I was that optimistic but I'm not!

yorkie well I managed to leave the base where the library was and forgot all about it! I'll try to do a journal search later

sid that's wicked news!!!! So pleased for you and your excellent plan of action! Ooh just realised its only next week!!!

Gillster · 29/08/2013 14:47

Some progress at last Sid - yay! I am now booked in for day 5 bloods and dildocam on Monday so I guess some progress for me too even though this has already been done. The GP is calling me tomorrow morning to discuss my day 21 bloods and I have a follow up appointment next Thursday with the consultant who did my hysteroscopy so I can finally find out properly what actually happened during the op and whether some work still needs to be done down there!

On top of all that I need to drop my car off next week to be fixed after someone drove into me a few weeks ago. I suppose I'll have to try and fit in a full week of work at some point too, good job the boss is on paternity leave! Hmm

SidneyBristow · 29/08/2013 15:45

Gill sounds like things are moving in the right direction. Are you finding it kind of overwhelming? I am, even though I'm the one who set it all in motion and I know it's all for my own good. I need to find a way to let go of the disappointment that this is all turning out to be so different to what I had ever expected.

This may not be the place to ask since most of us are still TTC naturally, but does anyone know how to access the threads on FF that are reviews/stories about experiences of fertility clinics? I've tried searching and keep coming up with nothing. **

**At the risk of outing myself as an idiot, I'll pass what I've just realized along in case it helps someone else: The threads are not on Fertility Friend, where we all track our temps/Ov days etc, whose website is fertilityfriend.com. The threads are on fertilityfriends.co.uk
Blush how did I not know this? Biscuit

SidneyBristow · 29/08/2013 15:46

this will teach me to start typing out a question, then google furiously for the answer, instead of handling it in a sensible order

yorkiebilb · 29/08/2013 15:47

Never mind kitty no rush!

gill glad things are moving in the right direction for you too. How are you feeling about it all?

I've got my 2nd fc appt a week on Monday - two days after you sid so counting down the days. Also got a repeat fsh to do which they've said to be done on day 2/3 of my cycle. If my AF starts tomorrow does that mean I can't get it done this month as day 2/3 will fall on sat and sun or can I do it cd4?

CatsCantFlyFast · 29/08/2013 15:56

Sid I think fertilityfriends and fertilityfriend are 2 different things. You access the forums in fertility friend from the website (not the mobile app) and it doesn't take you to fertilityfriends

SidneyBristow · 29/08/2013 16:12

Yes, that's what I was trying to explain. Whenever anyone would cite "fertility friends," I had (mistakenly) thought they were referring to Fertility Friend, and was confused as to why I couldn't find the threads on UK clinics that were said to be really helpful.

They were in fact referring to fertilityfriends.co.uk, which is totally different than fertilityfriend.com. It's UK-based and makes for a less confusing read since the places they refer to are here in the UK.

Oh how I long for the days when my computer time was spent mainly on drooling over pictures of Ryan Gosling!!

Gillster · 29/08/2013 17:33

Yorkie,Sid today has been very mixed emotions. Obviously AF showed her face good and proper so was pretty down about that. It was further compounded by an ex employee who turned up today with her 12 week old which was fine but there ended up being 20 mins of baby chat right outside my office door. I was desperate for a wee and a sarnie but didn't feel I could move. My boss then turned up very briefly from his paternity leave to sign some stuff so of course I had to ask how things were going. Don't get me wrong, I'm incredibly pleased for him as think they must have had some issues of their own given their ages and the fact their baby was born at the hospital where I have been referred for IVF, it's just another nail in the coffin though,

Things improved this afternoon though when I was able to make my appointments, so at least I think some progress has been made however small. Slightly annoyed that they have to repeat tests that were done in last 6 months and 3 months in some cases but I guess these are the hoops you have to jump through. Just so pleased that the referral letter was received in time yesterday rather than next week as that would have meant another 5 week wait. I think my biggest anxiety in all of this my age, I'll be 40 in about 30 weeks and after that I won't get any IVF on the NHS. DH is eternally optimistic about it all which is also quite annoying.

Sorry for being so "me me me" but today has been rough. Will be back on the yellow brick road tomorrow. At least I have you berries going through the FC stuff too. Thanks for the support. X

Well work is finished now (yippee) so off to buy a small (not too desperate gift ( Bunny/Blind can't remember who said that) for my boss' new baby.

CatsCantFlyFast · 29/08/2013 18:34

Gill sorry for AF arriving and a crap day, though as you say at least it has a little silver lining.
In terms of OH being eternally optimistic, I hate to generalise but it seems most of them are like that, mine certainly was! I'm not sure if its an attempt to make us feel better/support us, a little bit of stupidness or blind ignorance of the facts! Grin Bless them, trying to be helpful. Anyway I am sure your clinic won't take you all the way down the ivf prep for you to run out of time due to your age, that would be a waste of their time and yours. Chin up, hugs x

CatsCantFlyFast · 29/08/2013 18:36

Sorry what I meant to say was therefore I'm sure they will clock your age and speed things up for you. Are the guidelines not more specific eg less than 40 when you start the process or less than 40 the day of the et etc? As otherwise there's a wide margin for arguing debate.

Pipbin · 29/08/2013 18:38

Berries, I have some hpts that are about to expire and I won't use. One CB Digi, a twin pack of Superdrug tests and a first response. They all go out of date at either the end of this month or next. If anyone wants them then dm me.

Thundercatsarego · 29/08/2013 18:46

Are you not testing on Sat pip?

gill sorry for your tough day. Good work on getting the appointments booked though- its a great step in the right direction.

sid fab news about the appointment! But you have made my head explode with the FF questions.

Pipbin · 29/08/2013 19:01

Oh I've got the clinic issue test for Saturday, and some others just in case. These are ones that will go in the bin otherwise.

Thundercatsarego · 29/08/2013 19:05

That's cool of you pip. And what's happened with af? Is it definitely her? How are you doing?

happylass · 29/08/2013 19:13

Gill so sorry you've had a tough day. Have some Wine and Cake

Sid you've hit the nail on the head. This is sooooo not the way I imagined this happening. Dilldocams and DP jizzing in to a cup isn't the way this was meant to go!

Pip how are you doing? What happens next for you?

Think I'm going to ring the FC for an appointment tomorrow seen as some of you have had such long waits. Have one more cd21 to do at the docs next week but figure the FC appointment won't be for ages yet so may as well get things moving.

Finally ordered my wedding dress today eeeek! Then went to a spa this afternoon with my mum. Pretty good day all round Smile

BlindKitty · 29/08/2013 19:56

pip you still need to test hon, even if its difficult. The clinic will want to know the result regardless of your af. I'd like to think I'll need a surplus of them but I'm quite sure I'll need just the one from the clinic!

gill yes it was me with the desperate clinic! Know what you mean about optimistic ohs!!! Don't get me wrong, I'd hate it if he wasn't but sometimes he makes me south more pessimistic than I really am, when I'm actually just a realist!

BlindKitty · 29/08/2013 19:58

happy fab news about the wedding dress! Are we allowed to know any details???

happylass · 29/08/2013 20:28

Kitty of course. Strapless, quite slim fitting quite a lot of lace, and a bit of sparkle! Sorry not the best at describing these things!!

Pipbin · 29/08/2013 21:09

I'm am still going to test. I have the test the clinic gave me.

Next step is that we go back to the clinic and look at what happened and how we can juggle the drugs.
Chances are I'll have to wait a few months for my system to reset.
Meanwhile, there is nothing to stop us trying naturally before that.

BlindKitty · 29/08/2013 21:14

happy ooh that sounds lovely! Very classy! What treatments did you have at the spa?

pip good plan. Do you have an appointment yet?
