pip I'm so so sorry this didn't work. Don't want to get your hopes up but today the nurse said she'd lost count of people calling to say they weren't pg because they'd come on and then did the test and were pg. she also said if I come on early to just do a pg test anyway (although that does seem weird).

Well the goods are in the oven. It all went really smoothly tbh! I have 2 decent follicles (1 smaller), dh's sample was perfect so we just gotta wait and see. I know the success rate is only 15% bit the nurse reckons it would be more like 20something% as its the drugs that will prob do it for me if anything given my previous ov issues.

Boomgoestheweasel · 28/08/2013 19:13

Fingers crossed for you Kitty!

Going back to catch up with you all now xx

funkymonk · 28/08/2013 19:14

Good to hear that today went smoothly kitty. Everything crossed for you.

pip just wanted to say I'm so so sorry to read your crap news. Hope you and your DH are getting lots of support. Give yourself some a bit of time to deal with all the emotion of it all before thinking about next steps.

kitty fx for you and the very best of luck. Did I read somewhere that you had been diagnosed with multicystic ovaries? Just wondered what was said as it has been suggested that I may have it as well. Sorry if I've got you confused with someone else!

How is everyone else this eve?

IamKuma · 28/08/2013 19:40

Pip I'm so sorry things don't seem to have worked out for you this time. I hope you are getting all the support you need.

Kitty I'm glad today went well, let's hope you're in that lucky %

Tough luck DH, tell him to dig out his balls and man up Wink surely there is nothing better than shagging to improve his bad day?!
Anyway you've tomorrow, fri and sat morning as a minimum to make up for it!

Snowlily · 28/08/2013 20:29

So sorry Pip hope there's still a possibility like kitty said.
Fingers crossed Kitty
More acupuncture yesterday for me & felt a bit daft with being asked to "imagine lots of healthy oxygenated blood flowing to my uterus" but hey Ho whatever helps :)

happylass · 28/08/2013 20:30

Kitty so glad to hear all went well. Keeping everything crossed for you. Someone has to be in that 15% and you more than deserve it!

Bunny that was me predicting the late OV. Grin Once or twice I've OV'd as late as cd16 and my cycle is only 26 days long. This is where temping comes in useful as if it hadn't been for that I'd have missed it. I'd actually had EWCM and OV pain around cd11 as well. Guessing my body failed to do the business then for some reason so had another go a few days later!

Btw why the hell has this Tennis appeared?

BlindKitty · 28/08/2013 20:33

yorkie yeh that was me! Despite me asking for a dildocam I was told I didn't need one. Yet at soon as they put on the ultrasound they could tell strait away. They look different to pco as pco seem to appear more like a string of pearls. My hormone levels have all been perfect but the fc reckons I've not been pg before because the hormones are being spread amongst the cysts instead of one dominant one that will turn into a follicle. So basically I might have been releasing eggs but they've not been mature enough. Ove been on omid with no sucess but thats no meant to have great rates with mco. They put me on daily menopur injections which seem to have produced 2 good sized follicles so hopefully this is the answer. Have you had a dildocam then?

Bunnygirlie · 28/08/2013 20:44

Lol merk will try an early night and see if he will man up lol

Thanks happy glad I took your advice and kept a few sticks ready. FX DH still has a few shags left in him!

OP posts:
BlindKitty · 28/08/2013 20:57

bunny I'm going for bonus shag tonight much to dh's protect that he won't have any swimmers left.

yorkiebilb · 28/08/2013 21:13

fx with the early nights ladies!

Thanks for the info kitty. I've got high fsh so based on some advice on here decided to get my amh done privately as I had to wait ages for my next NHS appt. Went to get my results on fri expecting them to be low because of my fsh and they have come back high (34.4) which would be great if I was 25 but because of my age and my fsh the consultant thinks something is masking my true figure and suggested multicystic ovaries. However, I have had two ultrasounds this year and neither one have picked this up but an ultrasound i had done in 2011 found multicystic ovaries so feel quite confused. Private clinic want to do a monitored scan and afc but this is all v expensive. I have a NHS appt in a week and a half but they don't do amh tests so not sure how I'm going to persuade them to take this result into consideration. Confused.com!

BlindKitty · 28/08/2013 21:33

yorkie just because they don't do the test shouldn't mean they don't use the result, surely? From my ultrasound it was really obvious but maybe you just need more thorough examinations. There hardly seems to be any info out there. I'm going to do a proper literature search at work so I'll let you know my findings!

RevoltingPeasant · 28/08/2013 21:37

So kitty, sorry, don't know so much about the procedure - have you just got the standard two week wait now?

yorkiebilb · 28/08/2013 21:43

Great thanks kitty! I've searched every single search engine I can think of and there is hardly anything out there about it and even less about high fsh/high amh combo. Were you told it has an impact on fertility? I've written to my NHS consultant prior to my appt and sent him the results asking him to take them into consideration along with the suggestion of multicystic ovaries. Hoping he doesn't think I'm too cheeky!

yorkiebilb · 28/08/2013 21:46

sorry kitty just re-read your post explaining why the consultant thinks you haven't conceived. Answers my question thanks!

Gillster · 28/08/2013 22:54

Well after feeling slightly hopeful this morning that this may be my month I'm pretty sure AF will be banging down my door for a visit tomorrow. Grrrr! Have eaten a chunky kit kat and retired to bed in a huff.

On the plus side I received a letter from our IVF referral people today. So that's excellent timing as I have to ring them on day 1 (tomorrow) to arrange yet more blood tests and a day 2-5 dildocam - oh joy! Even though I have already had this done pretty recently, all these tests have to be repeated. At least I shouldn't have to wait another load of weeks to get the tests done which is a small consolation.

I was intending to start the clomid on this cycle so I guess I should refrain if they're measuring all my bloods again? I will check tomorrow but I imagine the person I end up speaking to will probably have no knowledge of this. Any thoughts wise berries?

BlindKitty · 29/08/2013 06:32

yorkie they said its not definitely indicative of infertility but there's a high chance it's my problem. Right, I'll go to the hospital library today and see what I can find for us.
Oh and defo don't think your cheeky! Your taking charge of your life!

peasant yup standard 2ww!

gill I had to have a baseline scan done before I started the meds that day, just to see how thick my uterus was and what my ovaries look like.

Bunnygirlie · 29/08/2013 08:40

Ooh kitty quite possibly the longest 2ww ever?!?

Professor merk managed day 17, is it worth fitting in a bonus boink fri/sat?
