Hilarious! What CD are you on Decaf? I tested last month even though I had just had an af, as someone had said something about still being pg even with af!!!!

chocolateuser · 26/06/2006 21:33

decafgirl - don't mean to be nosey but are you still bd? Its just that i have irregular periods and I remember reading that ov is always the same number of days from af no matter how long cycle is that month. Af is due this weekend for me and i'm going to keep dh busy until she is actually here in case i'm irregular again!

ShowOfHands · 26/06/2006 21:43

Hello all.

As I sit here typing this, I am not sure if I am going to click on post once finished or just delete it.

I came off the pill before Christmas last year and have had a regular cycle of between 25 and 29 days ever since. I was on a few ttc threads at first, but after the disappointment of three cycles of BFNs I decided to relax about it, stay off the threads and try without trying iykwim. So, 7 cycles and no BFP later I have decided to join one of these threads again. I am not entirely sure why, but I'm hoping that sharing it with people who are going through the same thing might help. Plus, I have just spent the weekend with a very good friend and her 8wk old dd (cue extreme broodiness).

Decafgirl, I remember you from when I first started ttc. I think we were umming and aahing over folic acid and Artoo's luteal phase (I was "kleggie" back then). I'm sorry to see you are still on the 'ttc' and not the 'due in' threads.

Best of luck to you all, hope you don't mind me crashing your thread and I look forward to all of the BFPs.

CD6 and counting...

chocolateuser · 26/06/2006 21:52

ShowOfHands - I know exactly what you mean. Personally i don't think its possible to put it totally out of your mind. In fact the most annoying, useless thing to hear is Just forget about it and it will happen. As if it is somehow the womans fault for thinking about it

ShowOfHands · 26/06/2006 22:04

Oh chocolateuser how very true. It's bloody impossible, especially as everywhere I look there's a pregnant woman, or a thread on MN saying 'ooh I'm pregnant and I didn't even have sex this month'. You do begin to wonder if it'll ever be your turn.

Natty1806 · 27/06/2006 09:50

Decafe

How long you been trying? Do you chart and use the ov sticks?

That way you will know if you ovualte, my doctor was more sympathetic (sp) than this, but i do think the hospital is taking it's time to see me because of our ages and the fact it will only be a year in a few weeks.

Only a year only a person who is not ttc would say that a year has been ages.

As you can see Coggy and Hopecat i stayed away all of 2 days. LOL

coggy · 27/06/2006 10:04

Glad you didn't stay away too long!

Natty1806 · 27/06/2006 10:12

Thanks Coggy

I must admit i am the same as you this month on CD 13 but even though i have had AF i have been feeling sicky some days and tired. not done as test though even though i have one in my bed side draw.

Have been using my CBFM and have been weeing on sticks since day 8 no signs yet only low fertility sign. Been doing temps as well and the are on average 36.20, 36.25 and 36.30.

As last cycle was 35 days am not giving up hope yet as it is a bit early, also used pre -seed for the first time on Friday, not much of a turn on for DP to see me try and squirt the stuff up there and the noises it makes. Lol

best go now.

Hopecat · 27/06/2006 11:50

BFP! BFP! BFP!

OMG! OMG! OMG!

I just can't believe it. Not due until at least tomorrow, but felt so tired and strange that I caved about 10 minutes ago. Line was up within 30 seconds, and got stronger and stronger!

So girls, you can still get PG even if your husband produces no sperm naturally! We started the ball rolling on this whole process over 2 years ago now.

I don't know what to do with myself, I'm so happy.

Obviously it's really early days and anything could happen, but that extra little line has made me ecstatic.

Estimated due date: 7th March 2007. A spring baby!

I so hope you lot will be joining me soon. I want some of my friends on my antenatal thread.

Jenswish · 27/06/2006 11:51

HopeCat!!!! I'm so happy for you!!!!!!

Congratulations

Hopecat · 27/06/2006 11:53

Thanks Jenswish!

Jenswish · 27/06/2006 11:56

Have you told your DP?

Hopecat · 27/06/2006 12:00

Texted him and told him to go outside and call me - which he did after about 30 seconds.

He's in shock. Said he wanted to wrap me up in cotton wool for the next 12 weeks until the hairy bit's over.

I said that he's more than welcome to do so

Natty1806 · 27/06/2006 12:01

just posted on a different thread for you Hopecat.

Told you, you were. xxx

Hopecat · 27/06/2006 12:02

Hopecat · 27/06/2006 12:04

Thanks Becky. Fingers crossed you'll be joining me!

decafgirl · 27/06/2006 12:06

Yay! Cangratulations Hopecat! I am soooo pleased for you! It's excellent news!

Showofhands, thanks for thinking of me. It feels like ages since I started the 'planning ahead' thread all those months ago. I suppose I was quite naive thinking it would just happen as soon as I was ready for it to. My mum worked in repro med so I've always known about the stuggles people go through I just guess I hoped and prayed it wouldn't happen to me (and it's probably not going to if I'm being positive!)

Me and DH and really bding enough I don't think but we're just always so knackered we don't want to make it feel like a chore!

I spoke to him about my relaxing plan last night and he agreed, no more opks or temping (I was rubbish at temping anyway; I'm so not a morning person!) so now I just have to wait for AF to show up and I'll be good to go!

Good luck to everyone!

decafgirl · 27/06/2006 12:09

By the way that's aren't bding and ooh, hopecat, if the line was really strong could it be twins? triplets? quads? xxxxx

wannaBe1974 · 27/06/2006 12:18

hiya all

yayayayayay hopecat!!! huge huge huge congrats!!!

Hopecat · 27/06/2006 12:24

Beccy1974 · 27/06/2006 12:26

Hopecat · 27/06/2006 12:27

Nope! Trying to get hold of my Mum - she's terrible at anwering the phone.

Sexonlegs · 27/06/2006 12:55

OH MY GOD!!!!!
Oh Hopecat, that is fabulous news. I feel like crying with joy - but am at work!
I wish you and your dp a fabulous pregnancy, and a healthy and happy baby.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Jenswish · 27/06/2006 13:06

12weeks will fly by Hopecat then you'll be wishing for them back what with all the weight you'll be carrying and piles and all sorts! lol
I think you should save some of that cotton wool for then! Lol
