Evening all, everyone ok? I hope you are not all watching the footie!?

Well, CD19 today and ovulating which is really quite painful. Does anyone else feel pain when ovíng? It hurts so much to stand too long even. When I went to the GP she just said, well at least you know you are oving, and I of course appreciate that some ladies on here aren't, but it is really uncomfortable. On top of that have a bloody awful cold, blocked sinuses, chesty cough and headache!
Sorry, rant over!
We did manage to bd though yesterday even though felt pants - can't face doing anything tonight other than lying in a dark room with a menthol vaporiser on. I just hope we are not going to miss a golden opportunity.
Anyway, have a lovely evening all. xxxx

pendulum · 08/07/2006 21:36

Hi Sexonlegs,
Intrigued by the ovulation pain. Don't think I ever get this. Where exctly do you feel it and how long does it last?

Sorry you're feeling rubbish.

bobblehead · 08/07/2006 22:16

I'm intrigues too SOL as I think I had ov pains for the first time last month. They felt crampy like perios pains and lasted for around 8 hours for me, does that sound right? though I suppose everyone is different....Do they come before, during or after ov?

pinkhearts · 09/07/2006 00:03

SOL I laughed when I read your comments. I am on CD14 today (Sunday am) checked my ovulation status yesterday and LH surges were high, so I managed to do some bd last night (I live in Australia so I am on a different timezone to most of you girls). Last week was going to be a week of lots of bd but unfortunately I came down with a bad case of thrush which annoyed me as I haven't had it in months and my sinuses played up really badly as well, so I almost didn't bother this month as I felt just awful. I had a m/c in April and I have been waiting for this week to arrive and my body lets me down!!!! I was laughing SOL because we bd last night with my vaporiser on - not very romantic. DH was caring enough to realise that I wasn't in the mood for it and didn't push the issue as we have hardly done any bd during the week but I thought I have only small window of opportunity so I took a deep breath (so I could smell the vaporised air) and had a go!!!

He goes back to work early tomorrow morning (he is away for the week) so I see how I feel tonight for another round of bd. Keeping my fingers crossed for all you ladies out there.

pinkhearts · 09/07/2006 00:08

SOL - I meant to add that I often get ovulation pains that last a few hours. I can usually tell which side the egg is released as it is painful only on one side. I often feel sick for a few hours as well and my boobs feel really sore. As my cycles are 28/29, I know when I get these symptoms and feel reassured that the body is still working.

bobblehead · 09/07/2006 01:19

Hi Pinkhearts, I'm in Canada so keep funny hours too

There was a thread somewhere saying if you are prone to thrush you are more likely to have a boy (I think), so if you get lucky this month you'll have to let us know!

bobblehead · 09/07/2006 03:08

Just checked out some of dh's sperm under my scope

Sexonlegs · 09/07/2006 08:51

Wow, what an international site! Bobbleead, where in Canada are you. Me and dh lived in Montreal for 18 months.
Pinkhearts, hilarious about the bding with the vaporiser on. We did exactly the same last night!
Felt pants as you know from my rant, but was determined. DH was well shocked as he really thought there was no chance. He got in to bed and started reading his book! No chance mate!
Re the ov pains, I was reading previous threads last night, and it can happen on either side. I seem to get it on the left hand side and I usually have to take painkillers for it, which is not uncommon. I think the pain happens just before you ovulate - it is the egg breaking out.
Anyway, need to run as dh and dd are pestering me!
Have a good Sunday wherever you are! xxxx

Sexonlegs · 09/07/2006 09:22

Pinkhearts, really sorry to hear about your m/c and fingers crossed for you.
Bobblehead, just read about you checking your dh's sperm - hilarious! What did you find??

coggy · 09/07/2006 09:33

Bobblehead - were they lively!?!?!

Natty1806 · 09/07/2006 09:56

Just an update still no peak on the CBFM and on CD25, not going to bother with it next month. in two days time i will have gone through 20 sticks and they are not cheap.

As i think i am not ovulating think i might sell it on ebay unless any of you lovely ladies want it?

Not been Bding much either, don't seem to be in the right frame of mind at the moment, i think i agree with others and am going to ditch the sticks and temp chart next month and just try and bding as much as poss and not worry about days.

coggy · 09/07/2006 10:35

Yes please. yes please Natty...I've just asked my mum to look for one on eBay.

coggy · 09/07/2006 10:38

Just remind me how long your cycles normally are.

It might be worth using it one more month as I think we don't ovulate some months anyway. I'm sure I read that about 1 out of 10 cycles we don't ov. I know I didn't once about 4 months ago.

Sexonlegs · 09/07/2006 11:09

Coggy, I heard that as well, that ov doesn't happen every cycle necessarily.
Natty, I am sorry to hear you are a bit hacked off with the whole thing. Keep your chin up hun.xx

Natty1806 · 09/07/2006 12:08

Coggy - would you buy it for £50? Have got 20 sticks as well and would sell this for £10.

Not sure if you are on clomid though as it does say that if you are using fert drugs it can give not accurate results. This is part of the reason i am going to get rid of it as hopefully at fert appoinment they will give me cloimd to help me ovulate.

Natty1806 · 09/07/2006 12:08

Thanks SOL will try and keep my chin up, glad i have you lot for support on down days.

westerngirl · 09/07/2006 16:52

Hello everyone,
Have lurked on this month but want some advice. I normally have ca. 29 day cycle. Started ttc for the first half of july but then thought I'd wait until september as have house to sort out and weight to lose. Time not luxury however as 40 in June. Now i'm on cd34 and af not here. I've bought about 3 boxes of hpt's. I'm going absolutely up the wall with bfn's. I see that hopecat and pinkranger got bfp before now. Not a hint of af but no bfp either. Am exhausted and tormented. Please advise.

bobblehead · 09/07/2006 17:07

Hi Westerngirl
No advice but af can be very cruel sometimes! Maybe you've been stressed with house or something and this has delayed af? Do you have any symptoms? There have been a few threads with people not getting bfp until af well over a week late. I would try and forget about it (and no way succeed if it were me!!!!) and test again in a week. Good luck and keep us posted!

Natty when are you going to fert clinic?

Yes Coggy they were very active! It was quite fascinating and I was a little sad when I went back an hour later and they were all dead
Oh my goodeness I will become so obsessed I'll start keeping pet sperm!

Natty1806 · 09/07/2006 17:10

LOL at the pet sperm

Appointment is on 31st July.

trace2 · 09/07/2006 17:23

rofl, (pet sperm)

tryingtohard · 09/07/2006 19:08

anyone about?

muminamini · 09/07/2006 19:37

Hi all

After reading everyones messages about ov pains I think that must have been why I had the sore boobs as I remember at the same time getting a pain on my left side - it sounds like you were describing when the egg breaks through.

I am on CD 25 of 30 day cycle (and going sooooooooo slow)

Had a fab day atmy friends wedding yesterday, caught up with one friend who married for the second time last year (she already has a dd) and her and DH have been ttc since last April. She is 43 and he 42 but he had testicular cancer a couple of years back and they have had no luck. They have decided not to go for investigations and have decided what will be will be which I think is very brave.

decaf girl - hang on in there.

Who else is coming to the end of their cycle this week?

Sexonlegs · 09/07/2006 21:22

Blimey, where is everyone? Watching the footie?
Well, CD20 today of a 30 day cycle, so in limbo. Only ov'd yesterday, and bd'd, so v early days. Still feel like pants with heavy cold etc. The joys.
Really emotional today, as had a party at my parents house for my brother, sister-in-law and their 4 children, as they are going to live abroad for 2/3 years. V sad, as I will miss them dreadfully.
Hey ho - at least with email, the World seems smaller.
Hope everyone is well. We need some bfp's on here don't we - limited so far this month!
Bring 'em on!
xx

desperate2bmum · 09/07/2006 21:35

hiya girls, i am tolerating the football purely for my dps sake. i came on on the 7th april so i think i am on cd 3? is that correct? my cycles are usually 28 days however this is my first since m/c so things could be all over the place. what day is my most fertile any ideas as i am not clued up on this i just go with the flow and bd as much as possible.

wannaBe1974 · 09/07/2006 22:03

hiya all

wg you may just be experiencing a strange cycle. apparently it's not uncommon just to skip a period sometimes, and imo there's nothing like deciding to ttc to bring on an iregular cycle, lol.
sol sorry to hear you're feeling down, although think of the cheap foreign holidays to come, .

Am on cd22 today. I was sure af was going to arrive yesterday as had crampy feelings down below bit like af cramps, but it didn't so I'm still here. I actually drempt last night that I'd got a bfp, was very realistic, I even woke up thinking ... OMG am I pregnant? then the realization dawned.

We've got quite a few nearing ends of cycles so hopefully there'll be some bfp's when I get back and join the august thread.
