Pipbin yay to starting stimming Smile

Nobeer my DH is the same. I've had to explain to him all about trigger today and what will happen now despite him being at the appointments clueless

Brooker I'm really looking forward to a stab free day tomorrow Smile I was pleasantly surprised my trigger shot is so early.

Thanks Maybe and Wish x

Fabuluce · 28/07/2013 19:01

Wow cups you've sped past me!! Congrats on triggering tonight (I'm quite jell as I'm now missing some of my blooming hols as mine won't be until tomorrow night (fingers crossed) and we were supposed to be going away on Friday but now it looks like the earliest we'll be going is Sunday (if we go to day 3). Thank god it's the Lake District and a cottage with family so we have flexibility! We didn't get to blast last time so I'm guessing it will be the same this time.

I'm sure I read somewhere that there can be such a thing as too thick a womb lining so maybe yours is just evening itself out a little? Sounds like its going to be gorgeously snug and plump for a lovely healthy embie to get stuck in :)

Fabuluce · 28/07/2013 19:03

Yay Pipbin - and so it begins ;) it's exciting isn't it! I think this is the time when you feel a bit more in control of things which is great and really in touch with your body as you think about what it's going through every day. It's fascinating stuff! Obviously the control factor flies totally out of the window when you get to the 2ww and then the 10ww after that!!!

nobeer · 28/07/2013 19:04

Good luck with the stimming pip. Hope it isn't too sore.

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 28/07/2013 19:11

I know Fab, I've only stimmed for 10 days and I've not had my gonal dose adjusted at all. That's rubbish that you will have to miss the start of your holiday but at least you have the flexibility to go later. I've just done my last gonal f and burselin injections. Just the trigger to go now. I had to use two different gonal pens as I didn't have enough in one for the final dose so I'm having 4 injections tonight. I bet your excited for the final scan tomorrow.

How did everyone get told to give their trigger shot? I've been told to do it the same way as the burselin, but I forgot to actually check that it's in my stomach.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 28/07/2013 19:15

It will be in your stomach Cups. My trigger was the same as my gonal f pen so dead easy.

That's great news Pip

Fabuluce · 28/07/2013 19:24

Yep, in your tum :)

Fabuluce · 28/07/2013 19:25

Pip - top tip for your injections a the slower you do them the less they should hurt/bruise Smile

Wimwom · 28/07/2013 19:48

What a day! I have never drunk so much - my bladder wouldn't fill and so I waited 4 hours for my transfer... The last hour of which I think I got forgot and was then so full it hurt.
Anyway, one 5ab+ on board (how on earth does it not fall out? I am sure I've dropped the poor thing about ten times already... And it's only been a few hours) and four for the freezer, plus a few to look at again tomorrow to see if frostie material. Hoorah!
Sounds like lots of progress made here today in all camps - am now going to make dinner, we forgot to eat all day!

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 28/07/2013 19:50

Wim fantastic news, congrats on being PUPO Grin. That's great that you already have 4 frosties and maybe more xx

nobeer · 28/07/2013 19:56

[wim] that's great! Congratulations PUPO lady!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 28/07/2013 19:56

Thats brilliant news Wim!! Well don't on being a PUPO Grin

Fabuluce · 28/07/2013 20:09

Wow that's amazing news Wim! 4 frosties - bloody brilliant back up!!

We should probably refer to joos' previous hysterical poo story post transfer and trying to get on a plane - I cried laughing at it! That little embie won't fall out even though it totally feels like it Smile

Pipbin · 28/07/2013 20:10

Wow Wim very exciting stuff. Damn your sluggish bladder!

So am I alone in finding the injections to be exactly no problem? They don't leave me sore at all.

Question for you ladies who have been there before; I understand that I need an anaesthetic for the egg collection, and therefore will need to be looked after and pampered afterwards, but do I need it for the transfer?
Also, we are heading for collection on the 12th, how long after that will the transfer be?

Wimwom · 28/07/2013 20:23

Thanks ladies -PUPO indeed!!
Pip - well done on injections, I didn't find them too bad apart from trigger and now progesterone.... But you may not have to have that. No anaesthetic for transfer - it's like a prolonged smear with a hideously full bladder! Transfer will be up to six days after collection - daily updates from embryologist will Guide you but I think three and five days are the most common times.
fab I was a lurker at the time of the poo in the airport story - made me laugh so much, but now I totally feel like (not that I've even faced the poo challenge yet!) I know how that feels. I keep reminding myself if this was natural I wouldn't even know and it wouldn't fall out. Should I be doing a handstand?!

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 28/07/2013 20:38

Pip I have found some of the injections really painful, yet others have been fine. My technique is the same each time so I'm not sure why. I'm glad they have all been fine for you so far, hope that continues.

Wim don't say that! 50 mins till my trigger shot!!

I didn't read the threads before posting so missed Joos story. I'll have to look it up. She cracks me up Smile

Wimwom · 28/07/2013 20:54

Don't worry nocups - it was a little sting and then I had an allergic reaction to it. The sting was very minor - the itchy red rash around it was worse, but the injection is fine (sorry - should have thought before posting) good luck - it's a big step in the right direction! X

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 28/07/2013 21:37

Trigger done! I can confirm it stings a little bit but it was fine. I'm starting to feel excited now Grin

chocolocodowninacapulco · 28/07/2013 21:45

Hello!

Brilliant news on you being PUPO wim, 4 hours to fill your bladder?! Great too that you have some frosties. I hope you have got your feet up now and you're being waited on.

cups hopefully you'll have triggered by the time you read this. Brilliant, well done. Sorry you've had the stress about the pink bleeding etc, but it does sound good that your lining has reduced. The last I remember about mine was 11.5 a couple of days before trigger.

pip well done on having done your 1st stimming injection, it's exciting isn't it?

fab great that you should be triggering tomorrow night, scan tomorrow I guess? Lovely ring btw Smile

maybe how is the sickness and do you have a scan soon?

nobeer you sound like you've got your head round the FET cycle, it does tend to be the men who get themselves in a bit of a tizz over it all and we just do cool, calm and collected.

Waves to brooker and wish

I had a lovely day mooching and shopping, it was just what I needed and I wasn't at all tempted to look at baby or maternity stuff lies shamelessly. I had THE most amazing chocolate frozen yoghurt, it's making my mouth water at the thought of it but then my mouth seems to have been doing that a lot in the last few days. Please, someone slap me and tell me to stop imagining symptoms or put me to sleep until Friday to stop me testing early

NoMaybeAboutIt · 28/07/2013 21:50

Great news Cups. You're right to be excited!!

Chocco sounds like a perfect day!ndid you buy anything? The nausea has ramped up the last two days, but I'm not complaining Smile. My scan is booked for the 13th August. Just over two weeks. Scary times!

The last few days before testing seem to drag! Not long till Friday though!! How exciting!

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 28/07/2013 21:52

Choco sounds like you had a lovely day. I love frozen yogurt drools over IPad I hope the next few days whizz by. Have you got anything else planned?

chocolocodowninacapulco · 28/07/2013 21:57

Brilliant cups. The frozen yoghurt was amazing and you could have loads of different toppings and stuff, yum. I've got an an acupuncture pulse check tomorrow(!), but nothing else planned at the moment.

maybe great news about the sickness. I felt really sick from the day after OTD last time and marmite crisps at 8.30 in the morning and breadsticks were my saviour. How many weeks will you be at the scan?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 28/07/2013 22:06

I'll be 7+6 Chocco. Just terrified things will have gone wrong! Not a lot else to do bit wait though Smile. Eating def helps the nausea. And pasta. Pasta is my friend at the moment!

chocolocodowninacapulco · 28/07/2013 22:14

Pasta sounds good maybs, I guess you just have to keep thinking positively as there is no reason to think things will go wrong.

I'm getting really scared now as I hope I'm not setting myself up for a fall on Friday, it's killing me!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 28/07/2013 22:41

Oh Chocco it's so tough. Sorry for not remembering, but could you remind me of your story?
