thx everyone for your detailed replies. I'm putting it down to bad luck, that's all I can do.

I'm still taking the progesterone and will still do the test tomorrow but its def not implantation, it's def AF.

twinks I'm so sorry to hear your news. If you remember I went through the same thing nearly 4 weeks ago and it is heart breaking. You will never forget this and it will always be on your mind but I promise it gets easier. Please remind me, you say you have a frozen embie? I have spent 4 weeks putting IVF at the back of my mind (hence the lack of posts, sorry) and living life as it was before IVF and I've had a cracking time. I'm ready for my FET now which will happen when AF arrives any time now!
I know it's so hard but take a few days for yourself and sulk, then brush yourself off and get fighting fit again! You can do it!

fab my DP has an issue of stage fright and always struggled to do his thing anywhere else but home. He took his iPad and set off to do it but only had a tiny little splodge come out. This sent him into a frenzy for a couple of hours thinking he'd failed me but 13 egg fertilised with his tiny splodge! Few!
The nurse did say to me that in extreme cases they'll let them take it home to do but needing your vajayjay could prove difficult?

I hope everyone else is ok. All the pre EC scans are sounding good!

Stay strong everyone!

twinklestar2 · 27/07/2013 11:19

Thx wish for your lovely message. I have one grade 4BB blastocyst. Terrified as its lower quality than the one they put back this time. Can't afford to pay £5k for a cycle if it doesn't work. It's very hard. It's encouraging to see that they're letting you use your frozen one so soon; I hope I can do the same. Itching to get my child so much, I've waited too long.

I've cried at lot over the last few days. I think there's one more crying session left in me and that will be tomorrow when the test says negative on OTD. Then I will have to put this behind me and go back to work and get on with things best I can.

Wishing you all the best on your frozen cycle. Did you give you any idea why your cycle failed?

OP posts:
wishwash · 27/07/2013 11:36

They said I needed to have 2 AFs after my failed cycle (including the one straight after). Ill then start down regging on day 21 so my FET won't officially be until September but it feels like I'm getting somewhere when IVF finally arrives.

They didnt give me any ideas as to why it didnt work, they just said it could have been many things. It looks like one thing they will change is the progesterone because I was spotting for 4 days before AF arrived. They're going to put me on injectable rather than the pessaries.

I have no idea what quality my frosties are but they were frozen the night of day 5 and morning of day 6. I wouldn't stress too much about the quality, worry about being less stressed and living healthy even though I had a packet of hobnobs for breakfast

wishwash · 27/07/2013 11:37

That was meant to be when AF arrives not IVF.... Doh!!!

nobeer · 27/07/2013 12:01

twinks I think crying is important. Speak to the clinic on Monday and ask for some feedback and advice. And chase them up on the counselling. Sending you love and strength.

wish good luck with your FET too.

resipsa · 27/07/2013 15:04

Winkle not to give false hope (or profess I have more knowledge than others) but there seem to be a lot of stories in Googleland about women who've produced a lot of eggs (body in overdrive) and had an unsuccessful fresh cycle (body knackered?) followed by a successful FET (body recovered?). Just saying...

resipsa · 27/07/2013 15:05

Wish you have probably read some of these yourself.

Karbea · 27/07/2013 15:09

Hello,

Anyone remember me?

Currently drinking a strawberry daiquiri, and have probably drunk more alcohol than ever before! But detox and clean living starts on Monday with a view to another go in sept or oct.

We've our review on Tuesday at the Argc, and I should send them some questions but I'm all out, except I think I'm going to ask for a dhea test.

How's things?

nobeer · 27/07/2013 16:45

Smile karbea! how are you doing? I've had a glass of wine and feel a bit wrecked myself. I'm hoping to do FET around mid August so I'll be joining you on Monday for the health kick then. Did 10 mins of an exercise video earlier and had to stop. Will try again on Monday and see if I make it to 15 mins!

twinklestar2 · 27/07/2013 17:08

Nobeer - I'm scheduled in for a Counselling session on weds morn but I don't know if I should go considering I've had 2 weeks off. I'd have to have a couple of hours off work.

Res - I've read those stories too. That the FETs are more successful because there are less drugs knocking around the body. Hope so. Life can't be that cruel to me can it?

Welcome back Karbea :)

Wish - no worries on the hobnobs, I had a mcds for lunch! Allowing myself this weekend off then will get back to normal on Monday. I've actually lost weight on this cycle.

Gosh when I think I've done and ivf cycle and its failed, I feel incredibly sad and shocked. It seems surreal.

nobeer · 27/07/2013 19:55

Twinkle do what is right for you. But remember, those two weeks you weren't on your hols, lying on a beach drinking pina coladas. It sounds like your boss sounds quite sympathetic, so perhaps you could tell him you have a follow up appointment re your operation, which is kind of true! Sending you more hugs.

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 27/07/2013 21:07

Has anyone had any bleeding during stimms? I'm on day 9 today. Went to the toilet 2 hours ago and I had pink cm. I've since had a fair bit of spotting. I feel less bloated today. I'm really worried something has gone wrong Sad

BrookerC · 27/07/2013 21:14

Right ladies. I am drunk after 2 small bottles of beer & a glass of red wine! I used to be an amazing lush even if I do say so myself . This is obviously what happens when you barely drink for 6 months'!!
Ahem, straiten of the shoulders & back to business. karbea welcome back! I am pretty new here so would appreciate a brief history

BrookerC · 27/07/2013 21:21

cupcakes sorry don't have any experience. Not sure if it's normal but if not red blood poss. Nothing to worry about? really fecking unhelpful. x

NoMaybeAboutIt · 27/07/2013 21:42

Just popping in quickly, Cups you had dildocam didn't you? That could well be it. With all the hormones and everything, you'll have increased blood flow down there x

Fabuluce · 27/07/2013 22:38

Cups id have a word with your clinic tomorrow if I were you, just to be on the safe side. It's probably nothing but you'll feel much better having them reassure you.

I had dildo cam today 13 follies in total all growing nicely and mostly evenly - quite a few at 15mm Smile ec looks hopeful for wed but having another scan on Monday to confirm. Grow my beauties, grow.

Thanks for your thoughts on DH's little er problem and glad I managed to bring a smile to you Twinks xx

NoMaybeAboutIt · 27/07/2013 23:10

That's great news Fab! Fingers crossed for Wednesday!

BrookerC · 27/07/2013 23:31

Fantastic news fab
wim are you in for ET tomorrow? Good luck hun if so. x

wishwash · 28/07/2013 01:07

Nice oneFab! You're cooking nicely Smile

Fabuluce · 28/07/2013 06:30

I also meant to say that i had a pretty fabulous day yesterday as I took my sis up to London to accompany me for my scan (she wanted to see my little follies Smile). We walked from euston to marylebone, had bloods then sipped on breakfast smoothies (milk, honey, banana and granola - yum) whilst watching the world on the high st then walked down to Hyde park and sat there for a bit watching the world go by, then over to harrods as I had vouchers that ran out yesterday so I bought myself a Tiffany ring (! Lucky me) then we walked back up to marylebone for my scan then sat in the park for a couple of hours with a picnic lunch and then walked back to euston. Fabulous lovely day - no rushing, walked about 6 miles in the end, had lovely chats...I am very lucky in that I've been able to combine my scans with lovely things Smile

Got home, argued with DH (he hadn't had a lovely day as he'd spent the day putting a scaffold up round his house so he can fix the roof) and then to appease him we went out and had a couple of miles march in the storm as that's one if his fave things to do. Not quite sure why I wore my rain gear - I might as well have wrapped myself up in cling film for the amount I was sweating!!! It definitely cheered up DH though and added to my exercise tally which was good Smile

Now if I could only get back to sleep...

Wimwom · 28/07/2013 07:32

Just a quickie - on way in for transfer.... Must keeping drinking the water, had nightmare about the transfer process last night and barely slept - so rest afterwards won't be difficult! Was out last night so not caught up properly so no personals - other than to say hello all and will catch up later

NoMaybeAboutIt · 28/07/2013 07:38

Good luck Wim! You'll soon be a PUPO!
