POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

it's obviously your decision, but I think you should wait till Saturday (sorry! )
it is so likely to be bfn at this stage, unless you ovulated very early this cycle - I just want to spare you the unnecessary disappointment!
especially that you have symptoms that could easily be early signs of baby!

with DS2 I was 3 weeks overdue when I gotvmy 1st bfp- due to ovulating very late I happened to get pg the day before I expected AF!

so try and wait a few more days lovely, what do you think?

although if you go with tomorrow do say what time so I can have fx for you ( and pompoms/tissues at the ready)

people, do you reckon morning JSing makes any difference to evening? ie on the last chance days on/after Ovving?
because theoretically morning could be v early, ie 12+hours before the evening..? Yet it all ''counts'' as the same day., so round ovving be better to do it in the mornings?

Choc - my understanding is that when you get a positive OPK the signs of ov, then you are between 12 and 36 hours away from oving. Sperm can live for up to 5 days in EWCM so as long as you DTD just before and around the time of ov then you should be fine whether morning or evening. You could do it twice in a day to be sure , but the second go will probably have reduced quality of sperm, (as it takes time to build up to good levels), which is why the Sexperts say to do it EOD so that you get good quality man juice.

I'm going to google about the sperm build up - that is brand new info to me!

I was under the impression that it really doesn't matter about saving up or going on a snagging spree as sperm is being produced "on demand" so to speak!
Therefore the more you DTD the more likely to get BFP!

Am I wrong? I could be!

so there's the low sperm count issue - wait for 36 hours before next DTD for a good build up - that I didn't know about!

but the first article pointed out about the issue of sperm quality, which is what I knew about and was unwittingly referring to!

I just put DHs zinc on the table with his dinner. He then has the choice of actively rebelling or just swallowing the stuff - he takes option 2 for an easy life

The weather does not help at all. All I've heard since he came in us how hot and sticky he is and which bits of his body are sticking to which other bits of his body! It's not helping me feel in the mood!

I know what you mean by the timing of getting/being pregnant. We've been asked to go on holiday with a group of friends in May and having no idea if I will be pregnant, have a baby or still be trying I don't know whether to put the deposit down or not!

babylann I had really bad ovulation pain with my PCOS because of the cysts but I didn't have them on the pill. I have lost some weight but have also been told that losing weight increases your chances so will be looking to lose weight at the same time as ttc.

Bearfacedchic I meant I haven't been tested to see if I actually ovulate - I've had tests and scans to diagnose the PCOS (and actually because of certain 'markers' my gynae says he could've diagnosed me by looking at me!)
