Come and join us elderly TTCers on the Sofa of Pity (SoP), Rug of Rage (RoR), the Pouffe of Possibility (PoP) or the Chaise Lounge of Limbo (CLoL) whilst trying to avoid the BubbleBath of Gloom(BoG)!

The smallprint - Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooh we are strict...please note your house may be at risk if you do not keep up repayments lol

Well into it merk, I'm on cd28 and af is due on tues. this is the first opk I've done since ov time- was just intrigued.

I had a random positive on cd23 a while back and it meant nothing so I'm a fool for even doing it.

Second day of achey tummy today, usually only get one, mother nature really is a bitch! Pink spotting since late weds, AF due tues, think she is keeping to schedule!

Feel fine, weird tender almost bruised feeling on my lower stomach and back on my right hand side but not sure that's related. Still peeing on sticks at every opportunity; 2 digi, 1 clear blue non digi and multiple ICs. Actually forgot to try an OPK this morn, will try that later
The OPK thing btw makes sense, the protein that makes up HCG and LH is basically the same so you will get a +Ive OPK if pregnant (or, as you say, if you have a LH surge). Motherofcleo tested it once for me in early pregnancy and got a positive. I shall be secretly excited for you....

Morning all. Bunny I got a letter from the FC asking me to ring to make an appointment about 3 weeks after I'd been referred but I can't go until bloody September as the right tests hadn't been done at the GPs
Boodle another couple of weeks of school . Hope you still get the full 6 weeks off.
Have no idea whether I've OVd or not. No OV pain and v little EWCM which is highly unusual. Chart is all over the place possibly due to weather and illness. No crosshairs on FF but other app gave me them on cd13. Had + OPKs on cd12, 13 and again today (cd16) . Got my cd21 test on Thursday so would be bloody typical if this was the first ever cycle that I don't OV!

merk you must have shares in hpts? I am too superstitious stupid to have any in the house. I live in a little town so I get really shy about buying them in local shops too. Perhaps need to order some online for next cycle. Glad all is still looking good though. The ib is a really good sign too that it might be a sticky one eh.

Blind ha ha just ewwed and laughed out loud at your Blackpool exploits. I've never been but that did nothing to change the stereotype in my head of the regular Blackpool punter. You and DH obviously exempt esp from the way you phrased the encounter.

Glad to hear everyone is doing OK. I'm headed for a bone scan in a couple of weeks to check that POF hasn't wrecked my bone density as well as my emotional well being and then, much more excitingly, we have an apt in the DE clinic at the FC in early August.

After a fair bit of soul searching and menkulling we can't wait to pursue this now. There's been some deep conversation's going on in the Coconut household of late. I tried to share the burden from poor Mr Coconut who puts up with the majority of my witterings with admirable humour and unleash them on my councillor. She looked terrified. And way out her depth. A bit disappointing. She's terribly nice but a bit head tilty. Anyway, safe to say there's a glimmer of hope I'm coming out the other side. Thank feck.

kitty I was poorly and managed a few snotty shags lol But I did a merk and POAS (opk) and nothing! AF is coming whether I like it or not

Bunny You hear people all the time saying 'we only did it once or twice and bfp'! If anything at least you've left dh's sperm to replenish! Oh and I'm sure you know by now not to rely on poas!

I know! My friend, and I quote, 'only did it once that month' and ended up with a baby grrrrrrr

Barking, more or less on cue, spotting has started to kick in this afternoon (8DPO) so I reckon full flow by Tuesday, and commencement of clomid. What strength are you starting on? My consultant decided to prescribe me 100mcg (or whatever it is) straight away, which I think is insane and is going to make my (already ovulating) ovaries explore...or something. I think I'm going to start with 50, then try to get scanned to see what effect that has. Might have to lie and piss her off a bit, but what the hell. I asked about scanning and she was like, "um, well yes, technically we should offer it for the 1st cycle but we're not really geared up to do that here...ring on CD1 and we'll see what we can do."

Happy, I think we get 5 1/2 weeks off. Rubbish.

Well AF arrived here this morning. Not surprised there was no BFP as it would have been an immaculate conception given the stitches and scabs , but I wasn't expecting a 27 day cycle, I had just convinced myself they'd all settled down to 30 or 32 days... Super short LP this time then! Oh well, sweeties tomorrow!!

I think I'm going to reset my CBFM to clear all previous data, as the clomid will at least I bloody hope it will totally change my cycle and when I Ov, so if it's using data from previous cycles it won't be helpful, will it? Anyone got an opinion? I haven't used it for a while anyway as I'd given up all hope I pretty much knew what was happening with temping & opks anyway. Given this is my chance to jump back on the yellow brick road though, I am going to POAS and PIMP at least this cycle and the next to death! Temping, CBFM, OPKs... it's all coming back!! I want to know for sure that the sweeties are working and we've dtd on all the right days!! and the stupid fc consultant that said temping doesn't work can go stick a thermometer somewhere unpleasant.

Bunny if it is on its way, hope AF just turns up quickly so you can jump straight to the next cycle. Maybe she visited me by mistake and she was meant to be with you first?!

Not surprising given the rubbish consultant pretty much said I just had to take it to tick another box if I wanted to be referred to the assisted conception unit in 6 months... I'm choosing to believe it could actually help though! 100g does sound insane - you'll be upduffed with quads!!!

bunny yep, I've thought that myself about her once or twice...

boodle my fc started me on 100mg clomid (even though I think I already ovulate). Apparantly my progesterone levels were through the roof and I almost certainly produced more than 1 egg (although didn't scan me). She then sent me a letter mid next cycle telling me to reduce to 50mg, so I hyper stimulated for 2 cycles!

barking it really was! Can't believe how many rubbish bars, etc there were. Lots of tragic hen / stag do's as well!

So what us the general concensus about a FB group then?

Think I'll disobey the FC and just do 50 to start then; I don't want to freak my poor little ovaries out.

Whilst an FB group sounds great in theory, I probably won't join as I have an absolute horror of being outed and I have a distinctive name so could be (and have been) recognised by friends of friends!

barking, boodle, good luck on the clomid! I just finished my progesterone today, so hopefully AF will be here tomorrow or Tues, then I start on 50mg as well. I've got 3 cycles' worth of that and then they'll up me to 100 for three more. No scans here either though despite waving of NICE guidelines in doc's face Fingers crossed for all of us! This is my last hope, there's no further treatment available on the NHS here so it HAS to work!

I quite fancy a FB group - I don't really mind being outed, I'm not sure I say anything too bad apart from about my instadiffa friend who I'm pretty sure isn't one of you guys and everyone knows we're ttc. It'd be nice to have something on FB that isn't other people's bump pics!
