Come and join us elderly TTCers on the Sofa of Pity (SoP), Rug of Rage (RoR), the Pouffe of Possibility (PoP) or the Chaise Lounge of Limbo (CLoL) whilst trying to avoid the BubbleBath of Gloom(BoG)!

The smallprint - Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooh we are strict...please note your house may be at risk if you do not keep up repayments lol

Ah kitty I wish I wasn't so wise, it's just what comes with being on all 11 threads and being one of the three original berries still standing (happy and pip aren't you the other two?)

I believe instadiffer comes from those annoying ladies who get instantly up the duff duffed which somehow became diffed ?!? I think!

Never got into monty python. It's all about breaking bad for me (now that we've watched all of game if thrones Sad. Although I actually had a dream that I was a meth cook the other day so maybe I'm watching too much of it!

Oh my word, 11 threads? You are a busy bunny! Apart from the brooking thread I generally get too annoyed with the 'I had sex in the wrong hole, am I pregnant' -type posts. Might give a couple of the other big threads a go at some point tho, kinda feels like I'm cheating on the berries though haha!!!

Yep have indeed been on all 11 threads too Bunny. Depressingly one for each cycle I've been TTC Sad. The rules must have been pretty lax at the start though as I joined the thread as soon as I started TTC and pretty sure some of the original Berries were instadiffers!

bunny to make u feel better, I was an original berry but was on here before that. I joined ur thread cos most ppl on the ttc#1 thread I was on were pregnant!!!

berries urgent advice needed. A baby shower is being organised for pg colleague before she leaves for maternity. I'm dithering. I want to be sociable but I don't know how I'll cope with her squealing over all the baby gifts and listening to all the baby talk. Do I make up an excuse and not go? Or suck it up and go along to be sociable? It's a small school so not like she's a colleague in another department or anything, I'd usually be there if it was any other social event.Need to reply to say yes or no by end of school today (I've been putting it off).

barking if it were me, I couldn't face it. I'd just send a nice card/chip in on the group gift and say I was so sorry I couldn't get out of the xxx standing appointment that conflicted.

ditto on the baby shower. I've only been to 1 and even ignoring the fact it was so hard for me, it wasn't my cuppa. silly games like eating chocolate out of a nappy and wearing dummies round our necks. if it wasn't ny sil I'd have declined.

the hg is hyperemesis gravidarum. translated means hyper sickness in pregnancy. it's like morning sickness x 1000. It starts at 6 weeks and by 7 I'm dehydrated enough to need a drip for 2 days min. it's easier to cope with if you know it's coming and start the meds early but the first time I was in for about 2 weeks before I even reached 9 weeks.
Don't ever mention ginger to someone with hg by the way, unless you want them to throw up on your shoes out of frustration Wink

Didn't like the consultant.

  • there's no such thing as a problem with your luteal phase. If you're ovulating regularly your luteal phase is fine. Years ago there was a problem, not now. Eh? How can something be a problem and then not be a problem?
  • there's no pointing doing your bbt, it doesn't tell you anything.
  • on the clomid you need to have sex between cd11and cd17, that's all you need to know. There's no point doing any tests.
  • you do realise it can take 2 years for a normal couple to get pregnant?
  • with unexplained infertility like yours there's not much success rate with clomid but you have to try it to be referred to the assisted conception unit.

Anyway, I have sweeties, and he said he will refer us in 6 months if we're not pregnant, so I got what I wanted/ expected.

As I only started AF Monday evening, with spotting, I could technically start it today as cd2 but DP still has stitches in his willy so not sure if we'll be doing anything useful by shag week...

barking I'm going to have that problem with my friend at some point. Was thinking of biting the bullet and actually organising it??? Think I'll feel a bit more in control if the situation then. Plus, lets face it, if I organise it, it's bound to be fab! Grin

barking hope you got out of the baby shower, I am so happy my friends who had babies in December and June didn't do anything!
Sorry to hear your consultant was an arse, but YAY to sweeties!!!

DH did his test, I so hope this one shows some results!

barking SWEETIES! Well jel. (Can't believe I just said that. I'm not from TOWIE. I promise). Glad you got them, consultants are always up their own bum so far they can inspect their tonsils from the inside. Hope you get mega-duffed straight away to give me sweetie hope! I'd save them for a cycle when Mr Barking's equipment is ready to rock'n'roll though..

Baby showers are the worst invention ever. Anyone expecting anyone else to attend such a hideous gathering should be tarred and feathered, bump or no bump! Been to one, never, ever again. I nearly choked on cutesiness but of course this has nothing to do with me being a bitter old cynic

I have a gross question for anyone who's had HSG/hycosy. I'm having discharge today after mine yesterday but it's not like normal discharge, it's brown and grainy and sorry to be horrible but it looks like the later stages of when I had the MC - ie it looks like bits of dead tissue (not clots). What's going on? Should I phone them and ask if it's normal? Doesn't smell bad or anything but is pretty minging, and I was hoping we'd be back on shag duty by tonight..

I haven't really vanished, it's just that we have stopped trying and with moving and stuff I've not go round to posting here.

So what BFPs have I missed?

AF is due tomorrow here. When she arrives I have to phone the IVF clinic and all that business starts! I have to wait 21 days then all the drugs turn up!
