Yeah I got hold of them in the end. They were really blasé about it and said if I feel ok to take 150, if I don't then to take 75.

How many cycles have you had there?

If you aren't happy, my advice would always always be;

Research other clinics
Arrange consultations
Take copy of notes
Go with your gut
Be prepared to travel

you may go back to the one you are with after a proper chat when you feel calmer BUT if you are not happy, keep your options open.

Best thing I ever did was look at other clinics, got other points of view and eventually made the move. I even went as far as Norway for a consultation and learnt loads. Not cheap but worth the investment cos my new clinic are immense.

Don't accept 2nd best. You are a paying customer xxx

expat my clinic gave me a 1 page report it doesn't tell me anything about egg quality but i does give me husbands SA and the cultivation of the embryos day by day and about the quality of the embryos transferred, I would have thought that to be standard

I don't know what he could tell you about your eggs from this IVF, have you had an AMH test or E2???

Ask for more info and see what they come back with x

Nothing wrong with being proactive expat. They get paid a lot of money to get you pregnant and you pay all that money with no guarantees. least they can do is give you info when asked xxx im all for pushing!! I pestered the embryologist at nurture loads of times after et and do you know what- she was more than happy to go over and over the same things, as long as I was happy. She was a star. X

expat your E2 is similar to your AHM, different clinics use either one or the other to determine your ovarian reserve

E2 is estradiol www.fertilityplus.com/faq/hormonelevels.html shows levels.

Mine was about 7500-8000 yesterday, helps indicate egg quality and how many eggs you're likely to have.

Girls, I'm panicking :( I've stupidly been having the odd cigarette here and there and now I'm worried I've fucked up my chances. I can't remember the last time I smoked but I've had two this week. Am I a complete idiot or what?

That's probably the equivalent of half an hour on the tube, twinks. Don't beat yourself up about it. I haven't completely given up drinking. I'll have a glass or two tomorrow night. For me, it is important to keep as normal as possible.

karbea I sympathise. I am not letting myself think about it, but I'm dreading EC. I am Not Good with the hospital environment. And I am Really Not Good with being knocked out (it's a loss of control thing). Still, at least all that distracts me from worrying about whether they actually get a decent egg. This time tomorrow, it'll all be done. :)
