Oh my God. I just took a call from an Irishman called Jim, and sent me follow up emails and letters and invoices etc all chirpily saying "Hi Jim". Turns out he's Chinese and his name is Jin.

Bearfacedchic · 06/06/2013 17:09

I know it's terrible but that's really cheered up my day Hest- thanks!

UTI seems to be on it's way out. Hurrah!

Well done on the follies Frank.

Sorry Norf- I know zilch about ivf so I would just be spouting nonsense. Hope you are happy with the decision when you make it though.

So many franglers on this Fred. We'd be alright then if we got in a BESH bus for a French road trip and wouldn't have to rely on Euro at all much. I did German A Level but I'm buggered if I can remember much of it. I still have some of the structures but vocab has been gone a while. Must brush up before hols sausage and bier fest in summer.

Bearfacedchic · 06/06/2013 17:10

Argh. Incorrect use if apostrophe alert for self.

EuroShaggleton · 06/06/2013 17:16

hest I reckon Jin/Jim is probably used to it!

Well done for showing the UTI who's boss, bear. I did German GCSE. I can't remember a bloody word of it.

Bearfacedchic · 06/06/2013 17:25

Thanks Euro- I drank so much cranberry juice it had no chance! Although my friend got gout from doing that so I keep checking to see if my toes have gone purple!

TWinklyLittleStar · 06/06/2013 17:37

hest - Grin

Well done on your healthy urinary tract bear, sehr gut. I am quite jealous of your forthcoming sausage and beer fest.

draf that's a very productive day, hooray for being In The Machine. Have a lovely time in Wales, I think the weather should be nice for it too.

I have had a fairly productive day tackling the inevitable post-holiday laundry mountain and going for a short bike ride. I also went to Sainsbos for some veg, as I desperately need to counter all the pastries and wine from the past week [fat bastard emoticon] Plus I have a dildocamming appointment next week to see whether the ovarian cyst is a normal one or an ishoo, and then the first appointment with the fertility clinic (helpfully referred to as the INfertility clinic by my trust, cheers, very positive) a few days after. So, busy busy.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 06/06/2013 19:36

Just took the pill for the first time in more than ten years Shock. It never agreed with me and I had to be taken off for insanity within three months last time I tried. Lucky that I get to add downregging drugs to the cocktail two weeks from now. (Also lucky period did not start any earlier or I would have had to take some stabby drucks on a work trip, nobody will think anything of someone of child-bearing age being on the pill).

YAY for cleared up UTI bear.

As to moving to the continent, I think there are other good places than France. I speak a fair bit of Italian, and they have stinky cheeses, good wine, hot if slightly small men and lots of prosciuto.

I intended on being alcohol-free for the whole two months of IVF adventure. I managed to drink two out of two nights since officially being on that track. I failed to relay my misadventures with the clinic, who thought I was doing another round of IUI. Much stress was had yesterday, but all came right...

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 06/06/2013 19:37

Oh and Grin hes. I think I love you. And jin.

How are you faif? And faithlet? I loved the clearly professional questioning of bugs! How are you feeling now, btw?

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 06/06/2013 19:38

Well done for entering the machine draf! Are you knackered? I always find too much time with the ferti-people exhausting in rather a different way.

Bearfacedchic · 06/06/2013 19:41

Good stuff Draf. Hoping The Machine works out for you.

Twinks- it sounds like you've been really productive. Big gold star for you. I, on the other hand, need to be sent to the corner as I've just been asleep for the past 2 hours with a nap that raged out of control. In my defence I felt pissed off so I just went to sleep as I got a tiny bit worked up. All to so with UB (unnecessary bollocks) caused by cock head manager at work which I have been explaining on another Fred. My response to anger seems to be to just pass out fit a few hours. Bliss. Should get angry more often.

Bearfacedchic · 06/06/2013 19:49

Hest- if it makes you feel any better I once spoke to parents at Parents Evening about Child X and it turned out that they were the parents of Child Y of the same name. Blush. Oh how we laughed.

Bearfacedchic · 06/06/2013 19:55

Oh I love Italy drizz. I used to speak a fair bit and lived there for a few months. Twas a-mazing. I definitely suit the continental lazy arse way of life much more than this damp isle (although I do loved it really). Two things I disliked though was the poverty the further south you went and the lack of nice public beaches. Most you seemed to have to pay to get onto where I went. I've forgotten most of the language now and too embarrassed to visit my friend who lives there.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 06/06/2013 20:03

Snap, *bear, I lived there a few months too and the language does disappear too quickly, doesn't it? But it is very good...

CaptainMoll · 06/06/2013 21:50

I once saw I guy I'd worked with (and disliked) at a bar. He approached me and in nervous, over-exaggerated bonhomie, I shouted his name out loud at him. He calmly introduced himself to my friend as a completely different person; he was someone else I'd worked with and really liked.

In my defence, they look quite similar and he was totally out of context.Blush

Arf Moll. Grin

Northey · 07/06/2013 07:07

Arf at moll, and hester the massive racist.

Is IVF Adventure a return to our Enid Blyton days, lem? Good luck for helping the police at successfully capturing the baddie egg+spunk and putting them where they belong!

Coming to end of first week in new job. Have achieved nothing except a quantity of sump oil pant snot. Will bumble through today and then spend the weekend reading bodice-rippers to recover.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 07/06/2013 07:54

Enid Blyton-IVF I might be able to do... I dissolved in a heap of tears at SB last night about not wanting this, not wanting to be on this road, not wanting to look in the fridge, not wanting to think ahead, it not being fair, being scared of IVF failing, being scared of it working and than MC-ing etc etc. And he was lovely. An hours chat and a few snotty cuddles later we collapsed in bed together not in a sechsy time way, I hasten to add as droid is in tha house still.

Wow new job, how did I miss that norf? What is it like, tell us all without outing yourself! What did you decide on the frostie-front?

Grin moll.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 07/06/2013 07:57

Well done on surviving the first week Norf. Are you enjoying it?

Another run completed this morning, it's going to be another beautiful day Grin

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 07/06/2013 08:02

Me too, frank. Although it was quite hot even though it was before 8am Shock. We deserve ice cream now!

TWinklyLittleStar · 07/06/2013 08:08

Wow well done both of you for running in the hot! I wouldn't even be up yet only the amazon man came Blush

Oh driz you poor thing, I'm glad SB took care of you last night. It isn't fair, it's really not.

Well at least you have survived the first week Norf. We're all useless in the first week in a new job. Enjoy the bodice ripping. Re the frosty cycle - it might be helpful to make a decision in theory and then see how it feels. Then you can always change your mind...

You lot have inspired me and tonight after I go shopping for a new sports bra to contain my massive norks I am going to go running while MSB does bath and bottle. First c25k is only 25 minutes so I reckon it'll be ok time wise.

Sorry it's so menkul for you drizz, glad SB is there for you. Rooting for a win!

Glad you're feeling better bugs.

Lots of luff and gin to all.

EuroShaggleton · 07/06/2013 10:21

drizz it must feel bizarre to be taking the pill as part of your fertility quest! You are having exactly the same reaction to IVF that I did, so I really feel for you. Having come out the other side, and got a BFP from it (albeit one that didn't last), I have to say that I am a lot more convinced by its merits now!

moll that made me snigger.

Nice work on the running frank! And look, you've inspired faif! I am trying to ease myself back into gymming. Ow, DOMS, is basically all I have to say on that score.

Northey · 07/06/2013 13:04

DOMS??

EuroShaggleton · 07/06/2013 13:47

Delayed onset muscle soreness. Basically what makes you go "owwwww" when you try to get out of bed the day after beating yourself in the gym.
