That sounds like a good day bugs. I've been out for a work dinner tonight and had my second steak night in two days....

CaptainMoll · 04/06/2013 23:24

Mmmm steak. Fuck yeah.
(This is how I imagine TA Fred would work - we just say fuck yeah at the end of every post).

Rasps - be careful with the water, no jokes but you can do yourself damage by over hydrating. Someone dies from it pretty much every time there's a marathon. 2 litres is a good maximum.

OP posts:
CaptainMoll · 04/06/2013 23:26

(2lt = 3.5 pints)

OP posts:
RaspberrySnowCone · 05/06/2013 07:11

Don't worry Moll! 6/7 pints is about my limit and my diet has been angelic so I've plenty of sodium in there to top up my levels. I'm not likely to be running any marathons either! Over hydration tends to occur when you sweat a lot through exertion and don't eat anything for a period of time so you completely water out minerals an stuff from your body. I've got friends who have been female body builders who drink 9/10 pints a day. I don't think I could justify spending that much time on the loo drinking that amount!!

HadALittleFaithBaby · 05/06/2013 07:27

Over hydration was featured on ER once. Fact! :) When I was in hospital with the abdo pain the doctor said You should be drinking more til I explained I was drinking 3 litres a day! (It was very hot on the ward).

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 05/06/2013 08:16

I've not seen Team America Blush. It's not really my bag.

I've run again this morning - week 4, run 2 - so I'm halfway through the programme.

Apologies for the silence otherwise, I've got another exam next week - Staff Management , so I'm cramming for that.

Back in the clinic tomorrow for a scan to check on the follies - growing thoughts please!

TWinklyLittleStar · 05/06/2013 08:17

I wish I was just bloated. I didn't do too badly for the first half of this holiday because period pains wiped out hunger, but I've been a proper fat fucker these last few days. Oh well, diet re-starts tomorrow. For now, chocolate Madeleines and orange juice for breakfast before packing and heading to the airport.

I don't know what the French do with their differs. I know they have babies, I've seen those, but I've literally not seen one single pregnant woman all week. Do they lock them in a shed til they deliver or something?

bugs how's them nips?

TWinklyLittleStar · 05/06/2013 08:18

Good luck for tomorrow frank's follies, & good luck for the exam frank.

evilgiraffe · 05/06/2013 08:55

I am sick to the back teeth of seeing pregnant women everywhere.

I am up for a TA feem. We can be all VERY BAD INTELLIGENCE and do the secret signal. And whenever anyone has droid or BFN or just general miz, we can play the

CaptainMoll · 05/06/2013 10:04

Good luck Frankle!

Rasp - oh good. I was worried for you there but you know a lot more than I do about it all.

Draff - also whenever the thread goes quiet, we can start singing "I'm so ronry".

EuroShaggleton · 05/06/2013 10:18

Well done on the running frank. You really should give Team America a go. It's veh funny.

I'm with you draf - let's move to France. You know, twink I've lived there and I think you are on to something. You rarely see differs. Perhaps they are cowering in a corner away from all the wonderful rare meat, cheese and wine that they have to refrain from?

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 05/06/2013 11:04

Hello hags, longtime no posting, apologies.

I had a weekend away followed by work-do+dinner, followed by Tues-running-group, followed by the first baseline scan of IVF Shock. Although they thought I'd pressed the wrong button and I wanted to do another round of IUI. An hour and a half at the clinic and pharmacy and I now have a fridge full of drucks (and I had some spare menopur and gonal-f still in there from previous rounds) and am starting the pill tomorrow as part of the LP down-regging...

Right I am way behind but in favour of moving to France.

Fingers crossed for boootiful follies, frank.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 05/06/2013 11:04

What else did I miss?

EuroShaggleton · 05/06/2013 11:11

You're on the way drizz! How do you feel?

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 05/06/2013 11:41

Shit-scared... Although I was really, really pissed off when I got the message that I was due in for a scan for IUI, so it was a decision we made and I am (sort of nearly) behind it. However, I have had a terrible time on the pill before and me and menopur did not work well together either, so the amount of drucks worries me. But I agreed to try LP (especially as my own hormones do take hold of an egg very quickly and run with it normally) and get hold of the clinic as soon as it gets too much and then we might have to abandon this round... The LP does mean I cannot be diffed at my next dentist appointment, and this way it fits very well with work, hols and other life planning. And I am shit-scared of it failing. But it is a funded round including frosties, so I am just really hoping we get somewhere.

EuroShaggleton · 05/06/2013 12:54

You've done medicated IUI - this really isn't all that different. You've stimmed, you've had insemination (and ET is pretty much the same). You're just adding in the downregging and the EC. As you know, I hated the downregging and I hated being put out for the EC, but those are one physical and one psychological issue that are very much particular to me. I had no pain or ill effects from the EC, and I'm signed up to do it again in a few weeks!

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 05/06/2013 15:17

I know that is what I keep telling myself. But the entire veg drawer is full, whereas it was only two pens of gonal-f until now. Oh and EC scares me too, but it won't be till halfway through July, so that is a LONG time away and if things go well, I'll be very ready to get the eggs out...

When is your next period due? And thus when do you start the next natural one?

EuroShaggleton · 05/06/2013 15:24

drizz I can't remember if you were around these parts when my drug delivery came in March 2012, but I tried to make KFZK send it back. And then made him hide it. The drugs were in the back of the fridge with bits of lettuce draped over them for ages. Eventually we hit on the idea of putting them in the egg tray bit in the top of the door, so I didn't see them every time I looked in the fridge. They are still there...

Blobbage is due Sunday/Monday. And then I will be back on the treadmill. I'm actually ok about it. I know what is coming now. Although that won't stop me acting like a complete lunatic on the day of egg collection

Oh yes, I do remember, euro. I now understand. I didn't quite at the time.

Waves at bugs. Have some shrimp. You stomach will be grateful!

I am off for a pre-IVF beer :)

Bearfacedchic · 05/06/2013 17:57

Hello BESHers!

Hello Nokkie- thanks for the intro. back story. Sorry about the boot story- will try to be less dull in future. Blush

Been a bit absent with work and now think I have a UTI. Thought I had appendicitis at 2am but have been subsequently curled up in bed all day. Bloody NHS Direct and scaremongering website. Was afraid to go to sleep in case I exploded internally.

Just going back to catch up on the thread now. Catcha later.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 05/06/2013 18:04

Welcome back Drizz and well done on the druck collection. I'm sure between us the BESH could start a drug-related cottage industry Hmm

Bearfacedchic · 05/06/2013 18:43

Frank- sorry about the funeral. Sad Flowers

Stabbing sounds rough. You're all well brave for doing it. I'd be terrified, but hoping it's one of those things you get used to???

I'm with Frank in not having seen Team America but will add it to the list. Not seen Brief Encounter either. Have a never ending list of films to watch and books to read. Might end up buried by my own books one day.

I'm up for a move to France. In fact, I'd go and live in pretty much most countries abroad right now cept thecreallhbjog ones but can't because of boring but necessary family commitments. Went to stay at a friend's house in France last year and she lives in a tiny village. Loved it that the locals strolled past drinking vino at 9am and looked twenty years younger than they were!

Bearfacedchic · 05/06/2013 18:44

Bearfacedchic · 05/06/2013 19:01

I've had some Faceache instadiffer claxon horn oopsy-did-I-get-diffed? announcements this week. Plus an I've-given-birth-to-number-3-but-forgot-to-tell-you-I-was-diffed announcement. I think next door is diffed too. FFS. Plus we've got ALL the family coming this weekend for a big burfday and there's hundreds of them so I'll have to get my armour on to fend off the usual insensitive questions. Sheesh kebab!
