Anyone who can correctly translate the above messages wins a baybee.

I wonder if rierie admired her bathroom ceiling this morning or not.

I also is a sort of religious type (albeit one who has refused to set foot in a church since the first ectopic) and I have no problem whatsoever with gay marriage and am really surprised that there are people who do. It makes me think it must be mostly a generational thing rather than a faith thing, even if the reactionary oldies use religion as the channel. AMNH's parents are all anti, and they are supposedly atheist. I still resent MIL going on about how "marriage is for the procreation of children", even though she didn't know then about our situation.

FFS, I know two gay couples who have had children more easily than us. If ability to procreate is the criterion then we might as well pack up and go home.

Northey · 30/05/2013 08:08

Bollocks, hest. Sorry :(

evilgiraffe · 30/05/2013 08:21

The "marriage is for procreation" argument is a smokescreen used to (poorly) disguise prejudice. No-one who says it ever agrees when asked that infertile straight couples should be prevented from getting married.

My parents and I are the rebels in our family. My mum's side are all very much happy clappy overly earnest constantly mentioning church/prayer/bible quote on Facebook types. It can become rather tiresome. Still, they're not judgemental - at least, none of them batted an eye when HOTB and I had our hotel-based civil ceremony, so that's nice.

CatsCantFlyFast · 30/05/2013 08:22

Bugger Hest. Blame me for the £2.50 wastage... i shall buy you a whole pint of gin lager to make up for it

evilgiraffe · 30/05/2013 08:24

Oh, hest :(

Love Porn Man, bear! Our neighbour is known as Mr Weasley, as there's more than a passing resemblance.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 30/05/2013 09:30

Morning hags! You got really chatty last night. I talked on the phone to my mum and shock horror read the newspaper til SB (skinny bint, my lovely husband who weighs less than me, although perhaps no longer :) ) came home.

Quick gyn-competition and boobage update for bear.
Both me and SB are 34, been trying to win a baybee since June 2010, coming up to three years. Completely unexplained, I have the mark of a lap in my belly button too - although mine was done by a competent surgeon so it is invisible. Diffed the SO+IUI cycle post-lap last summer. MC-ed at 8 weeks. Been half-heartedly and unsuccessfully continuing with the SO+IUI cycles. In the WWs of my third and final IUI round since MC. Starting IVF next cycle, if they can fit me in. HELP

Oh and my boobs are good (if a little large) and I invested in nice new bras at the weekend. So they look good. But my jaw hurts so no action in the sour household.

Bearfacedchic · 30/05/2013 09:56

Arf, Mr Weasley. Maybe it actually is him?

We've also got Neanderthal Man (walks like Fred Flintstone with his thumbs backwards and his lip stuck out), Waistcoat Man (does what it says on the tin), Foxy Lady (who feeds the foxes) and the self-styled The Chavs. There are others too but it would out me to say. It's a very lively street.

I come from a religious background too. The guilt follows me like a bad smell, but I like the overall principles. I guess I just don't like the hypocrites (not that all religious peeps are mind) that I've come across and distrust any organisation that wants to keep men in power at the top. I'm all for gay marriage. GS and I were discussing only last night how upsetting it is that Claire Balding gets hate posts on Twitter for being gay. I mean, it's lurvley Claire Balding FFS!

Sorry Ertd got you Hester. Sad

EuroShaggleton · 30/05/2013 10:13

Norf my last message was supposed to say that she had been contraception-less for 10 years, not 2 years. Doh. I'll put that one down to tiredness. It's rather more relevant corrected.

hest sorry about the wasted £2.50.

I have modest boobage - just a handful. Which is fine by me. Although they deflate sadly when I lose a few pounds - they are always the first place it goes from!

I'm with you all on gay marriage, although I still find the whole concept of marriage rather odd (church/state sponsored shagging). I did it anyway, to follow the crowd. I can see the legal advantages and had a nice day at my wedding, but beyond that I don't really see the point. There is so much cultural (and pretty sexist) baggage that goes with it too.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 30/05/2013 10:34

Morning all.

Sorry about the BFN Hest Sad

Get you lot with the theological discussions! Evidently not enough gin has been consumed of late!

Appt went well this morning. Scan showed a nice thin lining and my ovaries were cyst free. Just got to wait for blood test to come back with low hormone levels and we're good to start the stabbing again tonight.

Bearfacedchic · 30/05/2013 10:36

Oh I meant to ask Frank, are you attached to Frankel in RL or is he just a namesake?

Bearfacedchic · 30/05/2013 10:38

That's good news Frank. Congrats on the potential recommencement of stabbing.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 30/05/2013 10:39

I have tenuous links to him. I watched him race in the flesh 8 times and have been to see him in retirement. I know the manager of the stud that he is now resident at and I'm friendly with his trainer's secretary.

Like I said, tenuous Blush

CatsCantFlyFast · 30/05/2013 10:41

Good news Frank And (now i have all the knowledge) FX stabs are not too bad and do what they're meant to

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 30/05/2013 11:06

Hurrah for the lovely thin lining. And let the stabbing commence.
I just moved my second root canal date - it is one of the four BIG teeth and my first ever dental issue, so quite traumatising - since it was planned on droidal arrival day and I cannot guarantee I will remain undiffed and my dentist does not do treatments on confirmed differs. Oh well. I hate fitting things around imaginary diffments. :(

Oh the gay marriage thing - I am fairly shocked it has taken this long and horrified by the bigoted idiots that are not happy about it.

Oh and I am not remotedly religious, sorry. I do know roughly what happens/happened on pentecost, though

PS I love your frankel-connections, never saw them all written down together :)

Sorry about the waisted 2,50. Have a pint and a BIG bag of crisps, hes.

EuroShaggleton · 30/05/2013 12:43

Hello hags.

I've just got my biopsy results letter. Mild abnormality confirmed. Given the option of treating now or review in 6 months. I will obviously go for the latter and crack on with IVF in the meantime.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 30/05/2013 13:40

Glad you've got your results Euro, how do you feel about them?

CaptainMoll · 30/05/2013 13:53

Lovely endo, Frank Whi was it got told they had a nice endo before?
Euro, nice to be given choice on that. Hoping diffment occurs in a timely fashion, obviously.

I wrote to my stupid mp to harangue him for voting against equal marriage. He's a knob. I didn't vote for him and now he goes around making stupid decisions on my behalf. Needless to say, mp did not reply.

OP posts:
evilgiraffe · 30/05/2013 14:02

Nice lining, Frank

Good news, Euro, I guess? Not getting in the way of IVF is a good thing, anyway.

Cap'n, did your letter read:
Dear Mr MP,
You are a knob.
Love, Moll

If so, I can sort of see his point in not replying... Wink (obv I agree with you)

EuroShaggleton · 30/05/2013 14:16

moll I got told I had a "lovely endometrium" once.

frank it would have been nice if the biopsy had just confirmed HPV presence (which is what the gynae thought would happen based on looking at it) rather than mild abnormality, to take the background worry away, but I am just going to press on with IVF and keep an eye on it. I'd have no concerns about having a smear when pregnant, if necessary (standard in other countries but not here) - they don't seem to affect me at all.

CaptainMoll · 30/05/2013 14:25

Draf, that is what I will send him if he hasn't replied by next week. I'm nothing if not fair-minded. Grin

Clinic just called, bloods are all clear. The stabbing recommences tonight!

You sound like you have a plan Euro, so that's the main thing.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 30/05/2013 17:09

Hurrah for all clear stabbing. Btw I found that I don't bruise as much when I don't inject slightly pissed. Just a free tip I thought I'd share. But that is with gonal-f. With evil menopur I bruise and get terrible headaches so can't even blame the drink.

I am failing to plan dinner and generally shattered. Any good suggestions with a single courgette and some bacon?

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 30/05/2013 17:09

Oh and yes, I've been "working from home" today, as you lot have noticed, I am sure!

CatsCantFlyFast · 30/05/2013 17:09

I have just put on a home Brazillian hair keratin kit and am swooshing round the house like Jennifer Aniston.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 30/05/2013 17:11

I've been told that too about my lining
