Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share and with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce in other posters).

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

ice and rock yay wohoo hoorah for the bfps! I'm due to AF next Tues so keeping fx that I will be joining u. no symptoms though, but after last month I am consciously symptom avoiding!

having a totally shit week at work and feeling really up and down. yesterday I was crying today I've been miserable and laughing?

I am soooo pleased to see some bfps! its nice to know someone has escaped this cycle of constant wonderment! congratulations!

floatyflo · 25/06/2013 19:10

Woohoo and congrats to Ice and Rock Grin

Fab news! May I ask how long each of you have been trying? I know its prob been mentioned before but am new to thread :)

I tested this morning as could not wait any longer and of course was a bfn. Not due on for at least three days yet so was too early and silly really.

Its all just so exciting but must stay patient. Has only been a few cycles so will stay relaxed and enjoy lots of rogering with dp. Grin

Congrats again to the bfp-ers! How is everybody else this evening? :D

Rockchick1984 · 25/06/2013 19:46

Flo we started TTC in Sept, pregnant in Jan but had a missed miscarriage discovered at my 12 week scan. Should have been my second ERTD following the MC but got BFP instead :) Already got 1 DS conceived on the only occasion me and DH didn't use protection so hadn't expected it to take so long this time!!

ChocChaffinch · 25/06/2013 20:35

exciting exciting!
congrats Ice and rock
flo - are you me??
had my mirena out April time, been trying since, due on end-ish of this week
BFN this morning though ;-(

symptoms - noticed everyones' bad breath today - weird, but my boobs are unchanged and still small and bit floppy. Boo.

IceNoSlice · 25/06/2013 20:46

Well I was all a bit messed up cycle-wise due to BFing. I started mix feeding and hoped that would normalise things but I didn't get ERTD until 3 weeks after I stopped BFing. I don't sound very proBF there- I am but we wanted a small gap so I stopped when DS was 9 months (and felt pretty sad about it). And that was the last ERTD. So we were TTC for a few months but only one cycle IYSWIM.

Good luck to all - keeping my fx for you

cookielove · 25/06/2013 21:03

Dulcet they show up on mine as stars and hearts which means it worked which is yay for me.

floatyflo · 25/06/2013 21:59

choc I could be Grin

ChocChaffinch · 25/06/2013 22:01

have a low v slight grumbling which means probs ERTD next day or so.

floatyflo · 25/06/2013 22:02

So you both conceived quite quickly then. I just have a shuddering feeling its going to take me an age. But I suppose everybody feels like that?? Especially at the start.

There's no rush though.

floatyflo · 25/06/2013 22:03

FXed its not choc. Maybe we both just tested too early and come end of June we will have bfppppps!

I will NOT symptom spot! I will NOT symptom spot! I will NOT symptom spot!
Will someone please save me from myself?

AndieDisestablishment · 25/06/2013 22:45

Ice and Rock Congrats!! Grin I have a feeling I may have already said that but I was on a night shift last night and haven't slept today (due to day shift tomorrow) so my brain is a wibbly place.

Ice I was still BFing my DS when I conceived my DD, hasn't had a period at all. Discovered at my booking in appointment I was 13 weeks rather than 8. Gleefully cut the wait for the scan out.lol

Flo I've been trying since August. twiddles thumbs Two separate psychics have told me "within the year".....

Cookie I see the pretties.

Choc Your boobs sound like mine Sad

Lots of EWCM this evening but too knackered to DTD so will have to hope Saturday and Monday's antics have done the trick. Here loometh the 2ww.
Goodnight all.

Redshoes56 · 25/06/2013 23:25

I am sitting on the train en route to NYC for drinks with friends and something told me to check the fred. HUGE congrats rock and ice!!!!!!!! What great news. Will raise a glass to you both tonight. Good stuff ladies.

lil tiny hooya to you for the symptom spotting but hey, we are all guilty :)

andie that is interesting about the psychics. Do you go often? Just for fun or do you really get insights?

Bearfacedchic · 26/06/2013 00:23

Congratulations Ice and Rock!!! Woo for you both! Grin

andie- I'm wondering the same like Red about the psychics. that sort of stuff fascinates but scares me do i guess I might believe in it a bit!

Thank you for your kind messages. I got pretty upset over the weekend as you could probably tell. I'm feeling a bit better now, but really trying not to think about it at all, so might have to lurk for a bit.

Crossing my fingers and toes and hair for everyone else this month. Good luck everyone!

Redshoes56 · 26/06/2013 05:41

Glad you are feeling better, bear. You and I are hanging around here awhile now, but we will get there one way or another.

Writerwannabe83 · 26/06/2013 09:01

Me and my husband got married in March and due to not being able to go on honeymoon we spent a few days in a Health Spa about 2 weeks later.

One evening I went for a massage after having had a lovely dip in the pool and the woman doing the massage was really good.

At the end of it she sat down at the opposite end of the room and completely out the blue said to me in a strange tone, "Did you say you are here for your anniversary?" I found it odd because we had barely spoken at all since I had arrived and I wasn't even wearing my wedding ring so she wouldn't have known I was married in the first place. I told her that no I wasn't but that I had very recently got married. She gave me a big smile and said, "I thought there was something, I can sense these things." She then came over to me and said, "Whilst I was doing your massage your entire aura was calling out 'baby', it felt so strong, it was all I could sense. Are you pregnant?" I told her that I wasn't but that and my husband were planning on trying quite soon and she told me that within 12 months I would have a baby.

It was really surreal - and it spooked me a little.

I also work with a lady who is very spiritual and all she has been telling me for the last 6 months is that every time she looks into my eyes she can sense a huge life change that will occur in August Smile

I'm not really a believer in these things but nor do I write them off completely!

Who knows, maybe their predictions will come true x x

EssieSaysRelax · 26/06/2013 10:18

ARRRGGHHH! My boss has been going on at me this morning about babies. He has 2 daughters my age, both of whom have DCs, so he thinks I ought to be following suit. One day he's going to catch me on a bad day and I'll snap at him or cry. Why can't everyone leave me alone. I'm doing my flipping best! Sad

Sorry rant over. Blush Thanks for letting me vent!

I've never really been into the psychic thing, but my old housemate was mad about it. I do find it intriguing though and my Grandad 'visited' me about 2 years ago, he's been dead 5 years now, we were really close and there was no denying it was him, so I do think there are other powers at work we don't understand!

Anyone else peeing soon?

Minion · 26/06/2013 10:38

6 days for me essie

Minion · 26/06/2013 10:38

Oops posted too soon.
How lovely of grandad coming, I wish my nanna did. I miss her x

EssieSaysRelax · 26/06/2013 11:06

Fx Minion

Yeah it was weird. I wasn't expecting it. My friend saw it too. We both nearly fainted with shock. I knew it was him though, we both did because I'd just been talking about him! I remember my Grandmother telling me when I was little that her mother visited her once after she died. I thought she was mad! Now I believe her.

ChocChaffinch · 26/06/2013 12:45

didn't poas this morning. really have to firmly stop myself.
no further symptoms.

I have a theory- that during the 2ww and if you are slightly late, your body is deciding what to do, whether to go for it or RTD it.
have a real sense of womb-pause like everything is still deciding...

maybe i'm going nuts.

EssieSaysRelax · 26/06/2013 16:12

Yeah I do wonder how many times the egg actually gets got but doesn't actually implant?

lil1ady · 26/06/2013 17:36

min we have another syncro pee. 6 days for me too, although going to try hold out for a few extra days so I'm well and truly late or well and truly with AF so no wasted pee sticks

floatyflo · 26/06/2013 17:37

yeah I wonder that essie especially as sometimes it feels as though the time between (when I think I) ovulate and when period starts seems so short.

Due in the next couple of days. If Ertd hasn't made an appearance by Sunday think il poas again. Just dont think I have conceived this month.

How are you feeling Choc?
