I am VERY excited, my snazzy CBD ovulation testing sticks turned up today (it doesn't take much!). No smiley face yet so am warming up for the big shagathon, I really need to muster up some energy for that!!

Katatonic I'm like you I keep thinking I HAVE to get PG this cycle because I really cannot muster the energy and enthusiasm needed for all this sex again next month Confused.

Congrats stars and good to see you back mini.

alicebear · 05/06/2013 19:13

Congratulations stars great news & hope it's a sticky one this time.

StarsInTheNightSky · 05/06/2013 19:27

Thanks everyone, really trying not to get my hopes up this time, DP already has his sky high though despite me trying to temper his enthusiasm Hmm As bakingbunty said, it really does take the innocent excitement out of being pregnant, sorry all Im trying not to be too negative, just very suspicious.

Katatonic that made me laugh so hard! Grin It does get exhausting though!

BakingBunty · 05/06/2013 19:29

Congrats stars, I think this counts as a flurry Smile

Wow, what a rollercoaster of a day. Went to see my GP this morning. Because I hadn't had a period between MC and BFP, she said that the positive test may be a result of retained products. Rationally I knew this was really unlikely, as my hcg was 3 soon after I stopped bleeding, but I was still very freaked out. Had horrible three hour wait before early scan at EPU. DH looks after DS on a Wednesday and managed to drop him with a friend so he could come with me, which I was so relieved about... And the scan was all good, and we saw a sac! Grin Sonographer estimated just over five weeks, which is what we thought.

Know there's still a long way to go, but so bloody relieved. Another scan next week and I hope you'll put up with me for a while yet? Really not confident enough to graduate yet!

alicebear · 05/06/2013 19:51

bunty that must have been very scary but glad you had scan today & all looks gd for your dates.

StarsInTheNightSky · 05/06/2013 19:52

BakingBunty that's brilliant news, congratulations! Grin Grin Grin stay as long as you like Smile

alyant79 · 05/06/2013 19:55

bbunty that's wonderful to see a sac! hurray!!!

katatonic and guff i'm right with you. been getting high fertility since sunday (but very worried about why i'm not getting peak fertility) and am shagged out. DH asked this morning if the high today means we have to go for it again tonight, but i've decreed that we can have a night off. i'm worried that if we do dtd tonight and then get peak tomorrow we won't be able to rise to the challenge (pun intended Wink)

mini i'm glad that you avoided the extra erpc. my retained products were somehow 5cm!! at least that explained why my tummy was still preggo looking

Sal1977 · 05/06/2013 20:06

Aly, Kat and Guff - we've just done our 4th 'deed' in a row and still no sign of a positive OV stick! Soooo......I seriously jokingly suggested he w*ank in a pot and I'll use a syringe to get it to where it needs to go for the next few days as romance is not really present now and he said he thought it was a good idea!!!!!! WTF??? Bloody brilliant!

Who said romance was dead? Hehehe

Saggy didn't you say your friend got knocked up like this?

Emki · 05/06/2013 20:20

Congrats to all the bfps and excellent news bunty

Very impressed with all the dtd action! This is going to be your month ladies xxxx

Misspositivity · 05/06/2013 21:16

bakingbunty what a day for you and great u saw a sac maybe a wee heartbeat next week. Hang around here till u r feeling happier.

Well peak today. We have been DTD at 6am every morning as too tired at night and go to bed different times but I am wrecked. Another couple of days then a rest. sal I think my DP will be up for a bucket and syringe. Lol.

Ariel21 · 05/06/2013 21:30

Hello everyone. Just a quick update before I try and read all the news! Happy to finally have an AF and started DTD but due to busy schedules and some annoying bickering have only managed 3 goes during shag week! Think I OV'd Mon so Fx, after all it only takes 1 ;)

Am going to try and ignore TTC over the next 2 weeks so I don't obsess so may not post again for a while... Best of luck ladies and I look forward to your updates!

BirdsDoIt · 05/06/2013 22:10

Ooh that sounds good bunty fingers crossed you see a hb soon! God that must have been a stressful horrible wait at epu.

On my way back home to persuade (sober) DH that he really wants to dtd after I've had a few rather large glasses of white wine because it is still (as ariel put it) shag week...

Have had a rather 'grrrrr' sort of day with lots of pregnant ladies at work, including my boss who has the same EDD I would have had, booking her 28 week midwife appt on the phone at the desk next to me... I realise I'm prob being ridiculously oversensitive but really, she's had a mc herself, she knows what it's like, couldn't she choose to do that out of my hearing??

BirdsDoIt · 05/06/2013 22:11

Ps I am hoping this is ovulation rage

alyant79 · 05/06/2013 22:41

hahahahahahha sal that's brilliant
i might suggest the same.....

Emki · 05/06/2013 22:41

Grrr birds I feel your pain! My boss's wife has same edd as my last mc and I now have a new neighbour with same edd - due September ... I just keep trying not to think how far along I'd be ... Very hard but feel I just upset myself ... {{{hugs}}} to you x

alyant79 · 05/06/2013 22:42

birds i hope you've convinced your DH that it's shag time. exactly what the Dr called for after a grr day i reckon

Mummytothearkbuilder · 05/06/2013 22:50

Hi ladies - can I re-join or just lurk for a bit :-(

Scan on Monday showed no growth from early scan and no heartbeat so I am booked in for a ERPC on Friday.

We have had 2 miscarriages in 4 months so emotionally we are drained - we are not going to ttc straight away like last time as we need to recover but is it okay to lurk - its great hearing all the positive BFP stories and gives me hope for the future x

Sal1977 · 05/06/2013 23:04

Awww Arky, that's shit, I'm so sorry to hear that. What a crap thing to happen! Much love coming your way. Xxxx

fluffandnonsense · 05/06/2013 23:23

So sorry to hear that Ark. You must feel so drained and exhausted :( sending much love and wishes.

Penguinita · 05/06/2013 23:49

So sorry to hear that mummytothearkbuilder, that's totally pants. Lurk away here with us Thanks

Sal, are you serious? I can just see my DH's face if I suggested that to him, he would be horrified! In fact, it might be worth trying it for comedy value Grin

birds, I found it very confusing monitoring my bbt at first but once I figured it out it was great. First cycle I started using it I was partway through and the numbers seemed all over the place. Second cycle all started to make sense once I had a complete set of data and it followed the textbook pattern (realised I was post OV when I first started measuring so had missed the temperature "jump"). Third cycle DTD lots coming up to predicted jump time, thought the cheap ebay thermometer had broken when numbers started going haywire, but actually I was pg! So the thermometer knew before I did Smile In general my temp is mostly below 36.1 pre OV and above 36.2 after, but I expect everyone is different.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 05/06/2013 23:56

Oh Mummy I am SO sorry. Sad Nobody deserves this. Nobody.

mini28 · 06/06/2013 07:10

ark I'm so sorry to hear that. What a totally shit thing to happen. Take good care of yourself Flowers

StarsInTheNightSky · 06/06/2013 07:23

ark I'm really sorry to hear that, that's a hideous thing to happen. Much love and Flowers

Penguinita I second taking bbt, I'm addicted to temping now that I've got my hear round it.

Saggy it's not over until af arrives, I had THE RAGE about a week ago and thought af was arriving, I maybe screamed snarled at DP at one point because he wouldn't make his mind up what he wanted me to cook for dinner Blush I'm usually a very calm person!

alyant79 · 06/06/2013 08:42

oh no mummy, oh no Sad
that's just completely and utterly SHITE

in other news I FINALLY got peak smiley on my cb digi. Sex is ON again... I jokingly suggested the pot and syringe technique but DH just laughed at me. thank god we had last night off or i'd never manage it.
