Anyone know what cycle day you start clomid on? My appointment is on the 19th June and I'm expecting AF next Tuesday which means I'll have started and finished another cycle by then and I'll probably be somewhere round CD4 . Will I be waiting another cycle before I can start it?

MrsB00Mbastic · 10/05/2013 18:37

I think it's day 3 barking although I wouldn't quote me! Hope AF is nice to you for once and you get on it straight away..

Bunnygirlie · 10/05/2013 20:03

Hugs bunny. Facebook is horrible Sad

barkingtreefrog · 10/05/2013 21:19

Sympathies Bunny I just got a text from a uni friend, announcing the birth of her second daughter. Mixed emotions on that one though, she's been born at 32 weeks and is in special care. Doing ok though. Her first was born at 30 weeks and also spent a while in special care.

Meanwhile we are away for the weekend for the 40th birthday of my best mate's husband. I don't really know any of their friends that well, only to nod hello to, and DP knows none of them at all. There are 30 adults and 18 children between them. Fun, fun fun.... At least it's a multi-cottage set up and thankfully someone cancelled which means we get a lovely cottage just to ourselves now, rather than sharing with another couple and their child Grin . Somewhere to run away to if the kids get too much Smile .

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend planned. I'm off to have a glass of wine and then slope off early to bed after doing the minimum socializing Wink .

sconeoclock · 10/05/2013 22:14

Hello ladies,
Please can I join you?
32 married, TTC number 1.
Came off depo injection in September 2011 waited until May 2012 for AF to return so TTC cycle 12 I guess. Last month was first month using Opks start bbt charting tomorrow!

cherrycoconut · 10/05/2013 22:24

Hey folks, just dropping in to say hi as I've been AWOL a while. Sooo soo happy to pop back and see three BFP's won; Frog, Book and Foody I'm so bloody chuffed for you. Hoogest congrats and all that Smile

Pip good luck on the IVF - I'll be watching with interest and hoping for you. Keep us posted!

Cats that's crap your dildo cam cost so much. Can you hop over into NHS treatment once the money runs out? They have a really neat system between my clinic and the NHS FC so it's virtually seamless treatment but guessing it's not the same where you are.

Merk, Boodle, Barking, Bunny, Tally and everyone else I hope you guys are all doing OK apart from the lurgy Bunny! I've been thinking of you all but needed some time out. I'm doing OK, will post an update in a mo.

cherrycoconut · 10/05/2013 23:01

A small me update: Annoyingly my awkward diet is really suiting me! Four weeks in I feel a lot better and I'm getting a decent nights sleep most nights which is a massive relief. It's just, well, awkward to go anywhere and means a lot of organising which is not my forte!

I was back at hospital yesterday and the blood tests have ruled out pituitary, chromosome and adrenal problems. Thyroid levels are slightly raised which they'll look at in due course. The main problems are still very high FSH and LH levels.

This pretty much confirms that I'm on a spectrum of diminished ovarian reserve/ovarian failure. So the next step is to hotfoot to the FC for what the consultant called a 'full fertility workup' to see where we're at including an AMH test to measure ovarian reserve, scans, a million more bloods etc. Tests next week and then followup for the results on 24 May. Days before I turn 34, I don't know why that matters but it does!

If there are enough of my eggs left to try and stimulate ovulation then we'll try IVF this way. If there aren't enough eggs left and the test results confirm ovarian failure then we're eligible for IVF with egg donation if we want to try this route. All available on NHS which is incredible when you think about it. So all go and we feel very lucky to have these options.

The rest is all about the zen. Sorting the work life balance, chilling out and giving myself every chance. Hence I don't get infront of the laptop very often in the evenings and am just trying to take care of myself a bit better. The mindfulness think kinda resonates.

Let me off if I don't post very often I'm still thinking of you all x

BoodIeBee · 10/05/2013 23:51

I have guests over so can't come and hang out on berry sofa tonight, but HAD to log in quickly to wave frantically at Cherry! Lovely to hear from you and great that you have a clear plan of action!

barkingtreefrog · 10/05/2013 23:55

So lovely to hear from you and read your update cherry hope they give you a clear plan of action and a speedy time frame Smile .

Frogcatcher · 11/05/2013 00:14

Thank you for the congratulations cherry - I know it must be hard for everyone here when someone gets a BFP & I don't blame anyone for being Sad or Envy. Your post sounds like you're being as positive as you can be & that lots is being done which is great news. I'm glad the diet is going well too. Thinking of you & I'll still be lurking for a while yet x

Frogcatcher · 11/05/2013 00:41

Oh & hello scone! I'm not officially here as I'm now just a lurker but welcome anyway.

Tallyra · 11/05/2013 00:48

Hi cherry and thanks for the thoughts. I'm glad your diet is working well for you - when we went dairy free, it was hard, but we managed it, and lost an awful lot of weight as well (put that all back on again and more though).

And welcome scone, sounds like you've been through quite a bit already. Feel free to moan at us about all the crappy stuff, but don't forget to tell us the good stuff too!

barkingtreefrog · 11/05/2013 06:42

Wine hangover Sad .
Quite Angry with myself as I don't really drink more than one glass of Wine usually as a) I'm trying to be good and b) I know I can't handle it! but in a situation last night with a room full of people I didn't know, all smug marrieds with kids, and kids popping in every 10 minutes who couldn't sleep, then all the kid anecdotes.... So I think I had 3 glasses of Wine HmmBlush . Now I can't sleep (been awake since 5) and feel all horrible which is going to make today even harder. Well done me Angry . Grrr.
I shall be on the pity sofa with a duvet having a strop at myself if anyone needs me.

ps hi scone, didn't notice you last night, I'd like to think I'm not usually such a stroppy cow, have a Biscuit .

happylass · 11/05/2013 06:55

Hi Cherry. Great to hear from you and glad things are being done for you. I bought the sage tea when you mentioned it a few weeks ago because I will literally try anything Don't think it's had any effect (mainly because I've no idea what it's meant to do Hmm) but it tastes good so I'm going to persist!
Welcome scone. Quite a few of us in here are old hands at the temping lark so if you need anything just give us a shout.
What's everyone up to today? DP is working (and is being a total arse at the moment so wouldn't want to spend time with him anyway!) so off to take my mum out for lunch then to visit my best mate and 2 lovely god daughters.

Thundercatsarego · 11/05/2013 07:56

Hi everyone, I've been a bit AWOL too the last week or so. Just trying to sort my head out and get a bit of that zen that cherry mentions. Not thinking about ttc as much as I can definitely helps at the mo.

Just wanted to pop in though and send positive vibes to everyone. I'm around 6dpo and being a moody cow for no reason. Hormones eh?

sconeoclock · 11/05/2013 08:03

Morning everyone, thanks for the welcome.
Is it better to chart bbt in Fahrenheit or celcius?

I'm working all weekend as usual, I run a tea and cake shop so have plenty of dairy free recipes if you need them cherry?!

BlindKitty · 11/05/2013 08:41

Barking I've been advised to take clomid days 2 to 6 although different people say otherwise. Not really sure why people told differently. Must b a reason.

Welcome scone!! I chart bbt in Celsius. Are you using an ap? I like the fertility friend ap x

sconeoclock · 11/05/2013 08:47

Yep got fertility friend this month, been using a phone app before that.

Started using opks last month and realised I ovulate 2 days later than predicted so only have a 12 day lp not 14. Tbh I wasn't sure I was ovulating at all after depo hence the bbt charting this month!
Currently on day 8 this cycle.

barkingtreefrog · 11/05/2013 09:49

I'm starting today again, HELLO everyone!!!! Grin Grin Grin Grin

scone sorry if I'm telling you what you already know but did you know there was/ have you got the fertility friends app on your phone? It sounded like you were using it on a desktop/laptop.
I chart in C as well.

thunder nice to see you, I kept thinking of going cold turkey for a while in an effort to stop obsessing (ha ha) but I failed. Clearly.

barkingtreefrog · 11/05/2013 09:52

Thanks for that kitty I'm just hoping desperately that this cycle and the next are on the longer side so I don't end up at the fc just one day past when I could start the clomid!!

MrsB00Mbastic · 11/05/2013 09:56

Hi scone, welcome! I'm not a temper because I'm too forgetful and basically lazy but the rest of the berries are pretty fab at it!

Nice to see you cherry, glad you've got a clear plan and hooray for getting it all on the NHS! Fingers crossed for you. Keep popping in to see us now and then Smile

Hey thunder been wondering where you've been hiding! If you find any inner peace please would you come back and share it, I've been getting my crazy on this week...

Bunny bloody fb announcements. To be honest even though I've turned fb off, I still wonder how many pregnancy posts I'm missing so it's not as de-stressing as I'd like, I just dread missing the virtual announcement and then being confronted with a real-life bump instead!

Barking here, have an anti-hangover cup of Brew. Sorry it all got a bit much for you, I can understand how it would. Baby/child chat is hard to take without wine!

Psyching myself up for my date with dildocam this afternoon. Isn't someone at FC today? Sorry, my memory is letting me down but whoever it is, let us know how it goes..

sconeoclock · 11/05/2013 10:06

Thanks barking have just downloaded app to iPad thingy!

I must get to work, cakes, scones and jam to make!

cherrycoconut · 11/05/2013 10:08

We can be zen buddies then thunder good to see you too!

Thanks for the lovely responses berries, you guys are amazing!

Hello Scone and welcome. I would chart in C if I were you; I did a bit of temping before I realised it was quite so futile in my case. I chose F after reading Taking Care of your Fertility but pretty much everyone else here goes with the C.

Thanks for the recipes offer. Mmmmm tea and cake! My diet is wheat, gluten, dairy, corn, soy, refined sugar free and I can't have things like potato or bananas but I'm discovering there are good things to eat with a little creativity! Paleo and raw food sites are the best inspiration, coconut, raw cacao and nuts are my friends!

Glad you're getting on with the tea happy I'm also not sure it's doing me much good but persisting nonetheless! I think it's meant to stabilise female hormones. They advise sage oil for menopausal women to help with hot flushes. I'm also on ground flax which is meant to help estrogen production. The tastes OK though hey?

cherrycoconut · 11/05/2013 10:14

Thanks B00Mbastic and good luck for dildocam. It was really not so bad at all for me; easier than a smear and more interesting if they let you look at the screen. They even gave me the print outs, though the irony of possessing a picture of a blank uterus sans baybee is not lost. Think of England!
