Newbies very welcome provided they meet the strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, must have a special pot, NO instadiffers) and bring a bouquet of sausages when they join!

Everyone already knows they're pregnant, they're keeping the fact that it's a boy a surprise for their friends. That's what I find weird.

Thundercatsarego · 15/04/2013 21:20

kitty another WOW. 6.45am?! That's crazy. But his for you.

barking I feel your humph.

I meant to say yesterday as well- merk what about lovely victorian green? There are some beautiful classic shades.

yorkiebilb · 15/04/2013 21:24

barking that couch to 5k plan is v good. It's got me off my arse before. I've started back doing spin classes again which are a real killer. My bum hurt so much for 3 days and that was just from sitting on the bloody seat!

yorkiebilb · 15/04/2013 21:28

BlindKitty · 15/04/2013 21:35

yorkie I have 3 words that will massively change the way you feel about spin....padded cycling shorts!!!!!!

yorkiebilb · 15/04/2013 21:45

Thanks for the suggestion but my arse and hips would not look good in cycling shorts! If I wear them under my jogging bottoms does that mean I'll sweat more and burn double the calories?! Grin

Tallyra · 15/04/2013 21:47

Oh dear barking you've gone and done it now. dh bought some running shoes at the weekend wanting to get into some jogging. I'm going to show him that link. and if we can afford shoes for me I might do it too. trouble is, we work such different shifts I'd love to do it together but I can't see it happening. it might even give me enough energy to want to dtd a bit more often too. Anyone got any cheap running shoe recommendations?

Bajas · 15/04/2013 21:52

Just back from walk in the lashing rain and feeling very virtuous!

barking thanks for the link. Might just give that a shot. Also like the look of the stretch and flex to go with it. Absolutely hate the gym so an exercise regimen that avoids it could be good for me.

CharmingCats · 15/04/2013 21:55

Thanks, barking. I'll get some input...not sure when as deadline is Friday morning, so will have to post it on Wednesday to make sure & am leaving early tomorrow to get to another school & leaving on time for acupunture on wednesday. Maybe I'll go it alone for this one & get her input for the next one.
tally, sports direct have good deals on running shoes......

Tallyra · 15/04/2013 21:57

Me too, the gym is my idea of hell. but I walk the dog a lot, so I should be able to combine it. shame my favourite wood is on a hill. it's probably too steep to run some of it.

Bunnygirlie · 15/04/2013 21:57

barking your SIL is barking!

I wish I could keep up keeping fit, wanna lose about half a stone but it ain't happening!

OP posts:
barkingtreefrog · 15/04/2013 21:58

Tallyra Decathlon. Their own brand stuff is great.

CharmingCats · 15/04/2013 22:01

bunny I'm trying to lose half a stone too! Been trying for ages!

kitty do you think fodmap would be ok while ttc, or is it too extreme? It's just that I read about intermittent fasting and they don't recommend that you do that while ttc, but is eliminating different?

Tallyra · 15/04/2013 22:01

don't think there's one of them near me. I guess I might have to go to the outlet (shudders)

CharmingCats · 15/04/2013 22:05

Not the outlet!!

Tallyra · 15/04/2013 22:10

The one place guaranteed to make me realise I really am in my 30s, not 22, like I feel I am (when my back isn't killing me, anyway). Full of teenagers wearing stuff I don't understand and differs ten years younger than me not caring that their toddler is tearing up the shop.

CharmingCats · 15/04/2013 22:18

Yes, I'm with you on that. Avoid!

barkingtreefrog · 15/04/2013 22:30

My mate has a dog as well and I hate running on roads anyway so we drive to the woods or the park and both take our dogs. It's working well at the moment but we're only 4 runs in!!

barkingtreefrog · 15/04/2013 22:53

Anyone seen the news about the Boston Marathon? Really sad Sad .

Boodlebum · 15/04/2013 22:56

Evening! DH and I started the couch to 5k a month or two ago. It was going well until injury struck. I did something similar about 7 years ago and saw it through to the end and it was great! I didn't manage to shift loads of weight, but my body shape changed really dramatically.

Anyway, on the subject of exercise, I hear sex burns a lot of calories - maybe we should all give that a go? Oh wait...

Trying, just noticed that you are anxiously awaiting a fertility clinic referral. Mine took a long time to come through too; I think 5-6 weeks. However, once it did come through, I didn't have long to wait until the appointment (which was last Wednesday).

Brodicea - regarding your youtube linky, we used that in an assembly recently - all the parents and staff were loving it!

Tart - feel for you with the baby photo. We got an Xmas card with picture of SiL's new baby. Had to have it on display at home all over the festive period. It kept making me scowl and reach for mulled wine.

CatsCantFlyFast · 15/04/2013 22:57

thunder we have drifted to green then back again!
Do you think I can accelerate the couch to 5k to flat on my back in bed to 19k which I need to be able to do by June???
See you all in the morn over a fresh set of dipped sticks!

Tallyra · 16/04/2013 07:32

oh god. Overslept Confused No tea for me this morning. ConfusedSad

CatsCantFlyFast · 16/04/2013 07:42

Tiny tiny faintest of line this morning (10dpo). Not convinced by my new batch of sticks, they seem to do strange things with the dye. Makes it hard to know but suspect this is going to be like last month. However feeling positive, that if so, I have decided to take some action and get some tests done

Thundercatsarego · 16/04/2013 07:43

Good, and good merkin

but bad about discarding the green

And bad about missing tea tally

yorkiebilb · 16/04/2013 07:54

I really hope it works out for you this time merkin everything crossed!
