Newbies very welcome provided they meet the strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, must have a special pot, NO instadiffers) and bring a bouquet of sausages when they join!

Hi all. Have had a crazy busy weekend of marking controlled assessments ready for internal moderation on Friday.

cat I would definitely apply for the job- it'll be food practice if nothing else and you'd never know it could turn out to be perfect for you.

merkin fingers crossed for a stickie one.

Can someone explain sausage wanging to a newbie?!

cd 9 here. Started temping last week and no rise yet but had .5 degree fall today. Does that mean anything?

Heading out for long walk- have around 2 stone to lose and already eat pretty healthily so exercise (much as I hate it- lazy cow) is a necessary evil at the minute..

Tallyra · 15/04/2013 19:10

Oh no Merkin, that's horrible!!!

Frogcatcher · 15/04/2013 19:15

bajas an older berrie (as in original not aged) will have to explain sausage wanging or wangling as the iPhone wants to call it.
A temp dip is common before O - are you using OPKs too?

Frogcatcher · 15/04/2013 19:17

Sympathy merkin exactly how I feel around DPs pg niece. Just realised that come July when she is due the royal baby will be too & there will be no let up for me anywhere. Fx I'm updiffed by then.

Bajas · 15/04/2013 19:34

merkin that's hard all right. Seeing people having no problems can be so hard.

frog thanks for that- much more positive than I was expecting! Not using opks as cycles v irregular so hoping temping and checking cm will give me some clues. First month temping and using fertility friend so am boring dh senseless with temperature reports at 540am...

Thundercatsarego · 15/04/2013 19:39

Hi all,

Sausage wanging= getting a well deserved slap round the chops for being a plonker.

merk that really does suck. Sympathies. Good luck for piyp tomorrow.

cats go for it! Definitely. and not just cos you let me off

barking wow at run- a walk is the best I can do.

Ok I have a question re cycles. For those of you who know- if you ov a couple of days later than 'normal', do you usually end up with af coming a couple of days later (ie lp stays the same length)? Or does af turn up when you first expected and lp shorten?

Bunnygirlie · 15/04/2013 19:39

Only joking thunder

merk I had different sticks the last 2 months and didn't get any +, gonna have to try and find some like my old ones. And yuck at the pg announcement!

bajas even though I've been a berry since the start I have no idea where the wanging began lol

frog I don't even wanna think how I'm going feel if not upduffed by the time RB (royal baby) comes Sad

Frogcatcher, Notwithoutmymerkin and bunnygirlie, Hi back at ya!
And hello to all!

Also think ive got some catching up to do on the lingo!! ??pimping pot??!!

And NotWithoutMyMerkin - I have strangely erattic and raised temp all the time(runs between 37.4-37.9) so temping is no good for me. No pattern to it whatsoever. Has been like this scince I hade whooping cough over a year ago, Drs have checked for the obvious such as thyroid, routine hormone and routine bloods and come up with nothing! Mind you its been a while since i did a months morning temps properly so might give it ago again. Also my GP sent FC referal 5 weeks ago, shouldn't i have heard something by now?

Oh and a bit of help with the lingo would be good guys! so glad i have found you on here, don't know you or your individual situations but you all sound really supportive of each other Smile

Bajas · 15/04/2013 19:46

Love the sausage wanging explanation. Am compiling a mental top 5 list of people I'd like to sausage wang right now Grin

Thundercatsarego · 15/04/2013 19:50

It is half affectionate though bajas, I'd use something very different to Wang a real idiot. like a brick in a pillowcase

Thundercatsarego · 15/04/2013 19:51
Brodicea · 15/04/2013 19:53

WHen I think of sausage wanging I imagine the sausage related sequence in this (at 0.21)

Bajas · 15/04/2013 19:53

mentally changes list with new info Grin

CharmingCats · 15/04/2013 19:59

Thunder, to answer your question, if you ov late, then your lp remains the same and AF arrives later.. lp generally remains the same, whereas follicular phase (before ov), can change.

hi trying! PIMP = Pee In My Pot, a term coined by merk, as she (and her converts) use pg tests and opks that require dipping rather than being held under a stream, as it were. So, we needed an acronym to replace POAS - Pee On A Stick.

Thundercatsarego · 15/04/2013 20:00

Oh and tally absolutely beautiful quilts. Gorgeous. You're very clever and your page is lovely too.

CharmingCats · 15/04/2013 20:01

I want to get diffed so that I don't have to go for a new job.....

Thundercatsarego · 15/04/2013 20:22

Yes of course, do that too cats, but no harm in having a bash?

Thundercatsarego · 15/04/2013 20:27

Oh and thank you wise cats I've got a few days left to wait then!

Bunnygirlie · 15/04/2013 20:28

Blindkitty, 33, ttc for 23 months, married, HSG, 3 cycles of clomid, start IUI June, ironic pre IUI pregnancy due from holiday next month!

Merkin rubbish news re your exes daughter. However, at least we had our 20s to focus on our careers and had a damn good time partying

Tallyra · 15/04/2013 20:51

Thank you cats Blush
And sorry, trying, I didn't mean to ignore you. I'm using the app so I keep forgetting what I was going to say before I get there. and stopping to multitask (watch tv) and missing stuff people say.

barkingtreefrog · 15/04/2013 20:59

Although it seems contrary to common sense, when I cycle to work I have more energy when I get there. So after cycling to work a full day in the classroom (plus one duty then sorting out SENco stuff after work) didn't feel too bad. Then I cycled home, and then went for a run with my mate!! Grin.

barkingtreefrog · 15/04/2013 21:03

cats - go for the job! And yes, take up the offer of help with an application. It makes a huge difference. I have rewritten job application forms for two friends as well as my DP, and each time I took what they had written and totally redid it all, fine tuning to the application form and selling them a lot more than they'd managed to do themselves - another pair of eyes will always see a lot more than just you can.
Every application form I rewrote got an interview!!

barkingtreefrog · 15/04/2013 21:06

And in my usual style I'm multi-posting...

My baby news today was that SiL is having a boy (they already have a girl). Apparently DP is not to put it on fb as they're only telling family. It's going to be a surprise for friends. WTF?!? Surely you either find out and tell everyone, or you don't??

BlindKitty · 15/04/2013 21:14

barking know what you mean about exercising giving you energy for the day. I go to the 6.45am classes at my gym. Its a killer getting up but I always feel better for going.

Oh and I can't wait to tell THE WORLD when I'm finally pregnant!!!
