Newbies very welcome provided they meet the strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, must have a special pot, NO instadiffers) and bring a bouquet of sausages when they join!

Bunny A HSC (Hysterosalpingogram) is basically where they inject dye into your fallopian tubes to see if they're clear x

Back from another sober night at the pub Shock . Was ok, and quite nice as usual to have the comfort of just driving home rather than walking in the rain or paying for a taxi...
Staying with the positives.... I'm worried the fc might ask DP about his drinking and whilst he's not exactly alcoholic, he'd struggle to quit for a while...
What are other berries experiences of this? I'm trying to lead by example and although I cut out alcohol completely at first, I now make an exception for weddings etc as ffs I stopped drinking for a year and a fat lot of good it did me!!!

Bunnygirlie · 13/04/2013 23:40

Ah thanks kitty interesting to know about the stuff and procedures I may potentially have to go through if it doesn't happen!

Hey barking I don't drink much but still trying to cut back more (this is my second weekend of no booze), saving it for special occasions etc Hubby likes a lager or 4 most nights, trying to get him to cut back is a nightmare!!!!

Arf at Boodle " wave my Yoni in the air like I just don't care". That has to go in the next thread title!

BlindKitty · 13/04/2013 23:55

barking I've literally just told DH off for still being at the pub! Its pure torture not drinking all the time when all I really want is a lovely BIG glass of pino....(salivates). Wish DH would realise he needs to stop too!!!!

barkingtreefrog · 14/04/2013 00:01

Glad it's not just me kitty and bunny! I showed DP an article saying how much difference alcohol can make to male fertility and he said he'd cut down to 'only 2 pints'. But then a stag do doesn't count, obviously, so he'll be on beers and spirits all weekend. Weddings don't doubt either, obviously. Or birthdays. Or work nights out. Or 'Thirsty Thursday'. Grrr Hmm

Pipbin · 14/04/2013 00:09

Boodle I had my HSG a while ago, but from what I recall they gave me a hospital gown and a dressing gown and showed me a little changing room. They also gave me a little basket to put my things in to take into the room. I do seem to recall taking off everything though.
All the staff were women and we had a nice chat and they were really friendly. In all it was not unlike a smear, it was a little uncomfortable, like mild period pains. The doctor was able to tell me there and then what she saw, and I could see it on the screen. I think I took a towel with me.
I also remember that there was a nurse there afterwards to make you a cup of tea and you could sit there until you felt ready.

In all it wasn't something I would line up to do again, but if I was told I needed another one I wouldn't worry about it.

Morning ladies. Laid in bed desperate for a pee debating to pimp or not to pimp!

barkingtreefrog · 14/04/2013 07:27

I'm guessing advice is too late now?!? Go on, you did it didn't you?

CatsCantFlyFast · 14/04/2013 07:36

Yup. I peed in my pot then didn't test. 5 mins later changed my mind. Deja vu I am afraid, 8dpo, faint positive. Lets hope we can hang on to this one....

barkingtreefrog · 14/04/2013 07:44

I'm confused. I think I have cramps. I think I may have read my half a chart wrong and I actually might see AF today or tomorrow, not next weekend!! It was a half arsed thing this cycle as I wanted a holiday that didn't involve alarms and thermometers but if I'm right and AF is soon to appear then I've had a lower cover line than ever before, which is strange.
Still, that would mean I've totally eliminated the 7 day 2ww this cycle!!
Back on the opk sticks next cycle!
Have a look http://FertilityFriend.com/home/3c06f2 here if you're bored.

barkingtreefrog · 14/04/2013 07:45

Damn. Can't preview in app mode.
trying again

barkingtreefrog · 14/04/2013 07:48

Cross posted!
Oh merk everything crossed for you. The sperm is definitely meeting the egg and it looks like they were right about being more fertile after a CP.
Are you now glad you pimped or not?! Are you going to tell DH?

CatsCantFlyFast · 14/04/2013 07:50

I would guess you either O'd on CD21, meaning AF due on Tue with a 8 day LP, or you O'd within the time with no temps. If the latter, and lets guess it was CD18 (the last day with no temps) you would now be 2 days overdue. However my guess would be CD21

CatsCantFlyFast · 14/04/2013 07:54

Glad I did, wont tell DH til AF overdue. Another week wait! But at least I know to stay off the wine, hot baths etc to give this the best possible chance.
Question, with the general internet consensus that blue dye tests are so crap why is my clear blue a blue dye? Haven't use it (as I know they're not as sensitive as my ICs) but seems strange such a big brand would be blue dye

barkingtreefrog · 14/04/2013 08:06

No idea, but it did seem strange to me as well, that the more expensive one that claim to read 4 days early and be the most reliable don't actually read positive before the really cheap ones!

I think I O'd on cd21 meaning I'm 7dpo and with the cramps I'm getting probably due today or tomorrow. Every other month my coverline has been 36.5, and this month I've stayed below it which is weird.
So I'll be on CD2 or 3 when I go to the fc.
Hope that delivery of vitamin b6 arrives tomorrow!!!

barkingtreefrog · 14/04/2013 08:08

When's AF due merk? When will you officially be late?

CatsCantFlyFast · 14/04/2013 08:12

AF due sat next week Shock
I don't think your coverline is much lower this month but I do think post O you dipped below it...

barkingtreefrog · 14/04/2013 08:27

It's usually always over 36.6 post O, I say coverline of 36.5 as it's under before and over post, but I generally get a clear gap of at least 0.1 between. This time it's stayed below 36.5 until I had the massive hike yesterday, which looking at the pattern of every other chart, means AF is on the way.
Obviously difficult to see the whole pattern given I didn't bother to temp on holiday! Shows the usefulness of building up a few cycles to become familiar with your own patterns though!

Have you got a busy week to distract you from thinking about it absolutely every minute of every day?!?!

haycorn · 14/04/2013 08:36

Woke up thinking of you this morning merk (not in a creep way, honest!) and I'm really glad you didn't resist temptation! I've got everything crossed for you that this one hangs around.

CatsCantFlyFast · 14/04/2013 08:56

Have just ordered 50 tests to arrive tomorrow Grin

happylass · 14/04/2013 08:58

Keeping everything crossed for you Merk. Glad to see that you've stocked up for some serious pimipng Grin

BombasticPeanut · 14/04/2013 09:27

Fingers, toes and eyes crossed that it sticks merk.

Bunnygirlie · 14/04/2013 09:30

Crikey merks you are one crazy lady, I hope this is it for you but I so couldn't do that to myself! I'd have to be late late to test!
