hest I read that stats include people who have a teeny tiny chance, whereas the stats for people who just need a good egg to meet a good swimmer are massively higher. Ie. the number masks the huge success rate for people who should be able to get pregnant. Also, if you had a 1 in 8 chance of winning the lottery you'd be pissing your pants...

Thanks for the head strokes and comedy pole swirls ladyezz. So, we were referred for drugs, stabbings an all that jazz in January. I rang the hospital on 20 feb to see where we were in the process, they said ring the funding body and check. Did that and she said I'd been approved that very week and the letter back to the hospital, me and the fertility clinic I think would be in the post by end of the week.

So, I leave it a couple of weeks. Last week I rang again, no answer, left a message and got no reply. Rang hospital today, they said they hadn't heard and they should have done but they hadn't chased. I said 'so basically were now 7 weeks behind where we should be' and she just said, yes I'm really sorry but you are. I got upset so we left it that she was going to email funders and find out where the fuck my paperwork is. Probably sat under some useless bints sandwich. Crap. So we're looking at late autumn to start IVF now I suppose.

KFZK had his ultrasound today. He has spent most of the evening complaining about how awful it was to have someone pressing on a full bladder... Ye-es. Try doing it when they are running an hour late and there is a speculum pushing the bladder up while the ultrasound scanner is pushing down... I think he has a new found respect for my bladder control. Anyhoo, the result was that everything looks ok, but the amount retained in the bladder post wee was a smidge above normal. So they might do a rerun. If there is a minor infection or swelling that is affecting the pipes down there, providing it is curable, I would consider that a good thing.

Haha! I hadn't even thought of that Tyrion and Jon Snow are equal favourites of mine in the books, but on the telly you can't see what's going on in Jon's head so he comes across as more of a wet blanket than he really is. Also, Peter Dinklage is SO GOOD as Tyrion that everyone else pales in comparison. Are you watching the new series? The conversation between Tyrion and Tywin in the first episode had me holding my breath, great stuff.
