Symptom spotting- a compilation

This is really just to pass the time of a 2ww. I can't test until at least Sunday and although I know I can't possibly detect any symptoms until at least then (or if not after), can you lot please come and tell me what "symptoms" you watch out for?

I've heard stuff about a runny nose, grumbly tum, headaches etc etc and my rational side knows that these would be either coincidental or just imagined at this stage- but would help me pass the time!

So, what vvv early pregnancy symptoms do you look out for?

Sunday is the very earliest I can test as well and I'm also looking out for symptoms!

I've had a runny nose since 4dpo but didn't think it could be a symptom that early.

Hi gilly I am on the other thread too. Didn't realise we might be poas buddies :) I just can't read enough about symptoms, I want to find out everything there is to know about early pg which is so silly!

I am snuffly too. Plus have headache and am shattered but v busy at work so I know it's just down to being a bit run down and worn out! My tum is a bit grumpy throughout the month anyway so any odd twinges are going to be down to that.

What other things should I watch?! What are you in the lookout for?

Fnar :) I really want to order a big load of tests from t'internet but dh would be quite I think- he's very much of the "chill woman you'll find out soon enough" school of thought. I WILL NOT FIND OUT SOON ENOUGH! It has to be as soon as possible! Grrrr was like this with my last two as well. Mrs impatient!

I have a load of tests from the pound shop and STUPIDLY caved and did one today. I'm an IDIOT! A whole week early! Don't know what came over me.

Anyway...... .....

I do have tender breasts today and also twinges in my stomach but... That doesn't really mean anything at this point!

Gonna just have to wait a bit longer!

I've been really weepy for about a week now and have sore breasts -it feels like the start of a period, only I'm not due on until Sunday and am usually quite regular, hence why I'm now wondering.....

I think now that perhaps I'm just seeing all the symptoms and making them fit how I feel. Oh dear, and there's no point doing a test for a few days either!

Ah, here you are!! Am 2/3/4 dpo ( I don't know what the hell is going on in there) and feel like I have trapped wind and period pains. Neither is particularly pleasant or reassuring! Last few cycles have 22 days long so I would be able to test at the weekend. But, like I said, who bloody knows.....!

On a separate note, I had no idea you could buy tests from the pound shop! I wonder how reliable they are? The Boots website seems to say that the more expensive ones are more reliable, but I have no idea if that's true or if they just wanted me to spend more money!!

And minicc I don't really know when I ov'd either- 13th/16th maybe but not convinced either way. Have had a stressy month which sometimes delays my ov but now I have that trapped wind/period pain feeling too and that is the exact way I describe what it feels like so I don't bloody know!

At 8DPO I had bright red blood for the whole day. It was so heavy I thought AF had arrived a whole week early. I never have bleeding or spotting between periods. It had stopped by 9DPO.

At 11DPO I had very dirty brown CM for a few hours in the morning and in the afternoon I got very very very slight tingles in my nipples (which I probably wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't been desperately actively looking for symptoms).

At 12 DPO I woke up before the alarm (absolutely unheard of) and couldn't lie still. Very unlike me. Tested with FRER. BFP

Apparently pound shop tests are just as good as any other, very reliable and basically the same as the ones a gp would use before doing blood tests etc! I stocked up on loads... Don't think i had actually been inside a pound shop before so it was a new experience for me!

Well! You learn something new every day. That'll save me loads of money at Boots so thank you for that :)

Convinced myself that I had morning sickness today too. LOL. I think I'm imagining most of this now - still, I may be able to fool myself but I won't be able to fool a pound shop test!!

Gilly you'd never been in a poundshop??!!!!! But where did you get all the tat from, for hen nights and work parties and silly DIY projects that were doomed before even starting?

Sadly we don't have one in the town I live in so it has to be on line.

Havent been feeling too hot for a few days. Have a bad back, and feeling
really tired. I was wondering if i was getting D&V but apart from lots of
gas/wind, Ive been ok. Feel a bit sore bloated inside, and have had sore
norkage. My appetite is shot, and yesterday all I could manage was glacier fruit boiled sweets!

and my BFP was on a £ shop test. Tesco also do good cheap tests.

Haha nope never been in one! But the place I used to live didn't have one (although there were similar kinds of shops that sell all that stuff just not for a pound!!!!!)... And now I love in central London and there isn't one near me... Well I didn't think there was... But I've found one now!

Ooh can I join please? I really have very little chance of being pregnant, since you can't will it so, but we're only using withdrawal and I have a feeling.

I've got a red, bumpy rash on my chest and neck - could this be an oestrogen surge? I had some rusty-coloured mucous last night, but so far no other sign of the period due today. Could this be somehow construed as implantation bleeding?

I'm determined not to test unless I go inescapably late, because I'd be really disappointed if it was negative (which it would be). We had our first son while using condoms. A second accidental baby would be a whole other layer of embarrassing!

7dpo today (I think).. Very VERRRRY vivid dreams for the last 2 nights and what basically feels like period pains today.

I think I'll do a test on Saturday if nothing's happened by then - it's probably the earliest I'll be able to get to a pound shop anyway to buy a test!! Not feeling quite so emotional today though so who knows!

Gilly that sounds promising! I had period pains last night too. And couldn't finish my dinner (so so unlike me ) All my "symptoms" though are so easily explained by something else. Only one that has me really thinking is my stuffy nose. Its not runny, I don't have masses of bogies (soz tmi) but is just blocked. Also this morning my gob tasted vile - but of course it would, my nose is blocked so I've been sleeping with my mouth open! So bloody annoying.

So what "symptoms" are we all on the look out for then?

1. Stuffy nose
2. Periody type pains
3. Bumpy rash- oestrogen surge (good one agendabender, thats one Ive not heard before so will be on the look out for it now!)
4. Nausea
5. Tiredness
6. Nasty taste in mouth
7. Early morning waking
8. Scuzzy cervical mucous
9. Weepy/emotional

10. Sore boobs 11. Headaches

I've had a very bunged up nose and phlegmmy throat for the last few days! This morning I've spent a lot of time coughing up a lot of... Gunk! Nose is totally blocked. Blehhhh.

Don't forget the vivid dreams! I've heard that can be a symptom too?

I always dream anyway.. Every night... But the last few nights dreams have been crazzzzzyyy and so vivid!

DTD on CD1 and been feeling very crampy (currently on CD9) and nauseous. Can't possibly be pregnant surely on CD1?!

Cd1 as in the first day of your period? And now you're on cd9?
Doubt it... It's HIGHLYunlikely to ovulate at the same time as AF!
