This is really just to pass the time of a 2ww. I can't test until at least Sunday and although I know I can't possibly detect any symptoms until at least then (or if not after), can you lot please come and tell me what "symptoms" you watch out for?

I've heard stuff about a runny nose, grumbly tum, headaches etc etc and my rational side knows that these would be either coincidental or just imagined at this stage- but would help me pass the time!

So, what vvv early pregnancy symptoms do you look out for?

How are we all getting on? anyone orogressed to the antenatal boards yet?!

I am in throes of another 2ww, 12dpo and am pretty hopeful this time;

lots of milky discharge (sorry if tmi)
cramping like trapped wind
sensitive nose
utterly knackered (I fell asleep in the car after parking up this morning, closed my eyes for just a few seconds I thought. Woke up 20 mins later, late for work! And that was just because a big noisy lorry woke me up)

This could also be to do with the fact that ds2 who is 4 is up and down like a yo-yo at the moment.

Any more symptoms I should be looking for?!

Hi can I join? I am on CD 24, can't test till Thursday although have had cycles of 26 or 27 days before.

I have had every (imaginary symptom going over the last week or so, from nausea (yesterday and today especially), cramps and bloating, but mostly tiredness and really sore boobs, although I see to get that every month.

Of course they all can be explained by general day to day things! We have been trying for number 2 for only 4 months, DD took at least 10 months so not holding my breath...

I am off to bed as still feeling really sick and very tired. I have loads of tests as know someone that works for a company that make them, it is a real effort not to use them!

Bugger. Dr Alex from Clearblue says you do have to start using it on CD1. Oh well, I can use the cheapy OPKs this month and start afresh next time!

Morning all,

Well I have to say, the course about positive thinking yesterday has helped, despite my reservations about such things! Apparently your unconscious mind can't process a negative, so you should think 'I want' or 'I will' rather than 'I don't want' or 'I can't' - otherwise your mind doesn't recognise the negative part of what you're thinking about. So, in a new spirit of positivity I'm sorting out a new get fit plan, which will hopefully help along the baby making plans too Smile

I've also been cleaning. Not so interesting but needed doing!

freaking: how are you feeling now?

By the way my new positive feelings don't extend to understanding the CBFM instruction manual, which I've been reading online - I'm rubbish with stuff like that anyway but all I want to know is do I have to start it on CD1 (which I've now missed as AF arrived early!) or can I start it any time - if the former, I'll save my pennies for a couple of weeks!

Should prob clarify, I'd be most content if it was a BFP and honeymoon in a b&b in the UK but if I don't book the fancy holiday then it is a BFN how doubly disappointing! X

This stuff is a whole new world. I am spotting many phantom symptoms. Pretty sure the tingle boobs are real though. Need to know ASAP as I have held two spot on an adventurous honeymoon and the reservation expires tomorrow! Would probably book something tamer if I knew I was upduffed as I'm not sure about pregnancy plus altitude plus vaccinations.

Holy moly! I really need to know!!!! Can't test for ages!

I'm out too - AF has turned up unexpectedly (and irritatingly) early! Wasn't due till Monday and I'm never usually this early Hmm

On the bright side, it means I can start my charting over the weekend & also enjoy a glass or two of wine!!

I'm out again, spotting has started just like last month. Bring on the pee sticks!

Report
RubySlippers77 · 17/04/2013 20:58

Ah mini, I'm with you, I too need the sticks. It's fascinating reading about all these signs, I had no idea how you could tell when you were ovulating! I think the CBFM would be best for me mainly because it uses FMU, and I like the idea of getting a smiley face Smile

That said, I will save my pennies till AF next arrives, as it's due Monday (in the hope that it doesn't, these CBFMs not being cheap!!) and should a BFP turn up in the meantime, you ladies will be the first to know. Probably even before my OH as he's on a stag do in Budapest this weekend!

minicc · 17/04/2013 14:11

I felt totally unpregnant when I conceived my daughter, so am not expecting bells and whistles! Just a little, teeny, weeny sign one way or the other. Think I may invest in the clear blue wee sticks next month, I clearly have no knowledge of my own body!

RubySlippers77 · 17/04/2013 13:32

My only 'symptoms' are needing to pee a lot & having a sniffly nose - think I'll have to wait for Friday & my BFN so I can be completely disillusioned!!

I think come the weekend I will have to invest in a CBFM & make myself a chart (I'm a spreadsheet kinda gal!) as I have no idea re CD counts etc, all I know is that the cheapy OPKs didn't work for me. Should I ever have a baby it seems that it will have expensive tastes...

Well here we are again (OP here under an assumed disguise)

CD 19 here, think I ovulated on day 17 so the 2ww is underway again! Next Sunday (28th) is when I can realistically test- have those cheapo internet tests rather than the early posh ones Grin so need to wait the full fortnight I guess.

Ruby and minicc if its any consolation, both pregnancies I have had (ds1 8 ds2 4) caught me totally by surprise symptom wise- when the line appeared I really did NOT expect it to. Had not experienced any symptoms at all even though I was desparately looking out for them like now

Come on ladies hit me with some symptoms that I should be on the look out for!

I've been on an NLP course before but it was years ago, so thought I might as well give it another go, the course is free anyway :) if nothing else it will hopefully take my mind off things.

No idea when I ovulate, the cheapy ones didn't work so well for me, I never got a clear positive. The doctor thought it might be because I drink lots of water so of course by the afternoon I'm pretty much just testing water! Considering buying the Clearblue fertility monitor as I think that would work better, but it's much more expensive :(

Trying to stress less about the whole thing and remind myself that we do have pretty good odds of conceiving & this is only our second month of TTC. I'm hoping to find a gym buddy to encourage me to get fit again & will be doing a couple of Race for Lifes, every little helps! And I will be giving the yoga a go soon too, thank you for the suggestion!!

BankWuggery · 11/04/2013 23:36

Ruby I'm going on an NLP course soon too I hope! FIts in well with my job but hadn't thought about how I could use it in my personal life...hmmmm now I'm thinking!

Honestly I was not expecting yoga to be so helpful. I was in a difficult place at the time, and learning how to relax and breathe well helped me hugely. I'm not normmally in the least bit "woo" but I will bang on forever about how luvverly yoga is :)

Should be ovulating today or tomorrow but once again work is well stressy so it may be kicked out of sync. Not actually sure that I ovulated at all last month, could have been a couple of options but wasn't convicnced of which day (normally quite obvious for me) and then when my period was so light I did wonder. Ho well, I'll just get on and do the deed!

bank - as and when I rejoin the gym (probably next month once they finish their neverending 'improvement' works!) I'll give the yoga a try. I'm going on an NLP course next weekend to help me think positively and am off for an aromatherapy massage soon. Anything to help, I'm such a worrier!

I don't think the AF length has anything to do with cycle length, or at least not in my experience - I'm usually 27-29 days with AF about 5 days, although it has been known to be longer. 12 days is my record so far and I have no wish to beat it Sad

Hi Choedron. Any more news? Only just spotted your post and didn't want it to go unanswered.

Boo for Meemaw. Sorry AF has arrived. Mine was thankfully v short this month, does that mean that my whole cycle might be shorter too? Anyone know how it works?

Ruby- re: chilling out, I've found in the past that Yoga has helped massively in being able to relax in general- just knowing how to breathe properly helped me. And the relaxation bit they normally do at the end are uber-blissful :)

With both of my children the first sign of pregnancy was increase in vaginal discharge a day or two before period was due. Also a bit of period like cramos with no period. Hope this helps - but I think we all get different symptoms.

Hi all, I am very new to this site. I am 34 and have been actively trying for 3 years and had a miscarriage last year. I have had all my tests done and everything come back normal. I have now been referred to ivf but decided to wait a bit.

My cycle usually last 33-35 days, though this month it is 42 days and no sign of my period. Yesterday I had some bright red spotting which turned brown today, still no flow. I tested negative andI have no idea what can be wrong. Any suggestions??

No feeling of pregnancy whatsoever... Thanks!

meemaw - hope things get better for you soon. It really is very frustrating being a woman sometimes!

DP & I had a more serious conversation about children following this month's worries over possible BFP. We'd both like them but time isn't on our side - I'm 35, he's 41 - so another thing to worry about on my list! Anyone have any suggestions for helping me to chill out a bit?! I blame my mum for passing on the worrying gene to me...!
