Entrant criteria: TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, OPK & EWCM obsession, NO instadiffers. (Thread 6)

Oh no pip that's crap! We were both poorly in December so that was another disastrous month. Last weekend I had a cold but somehow we managed to DTD, doubt it would happen if hubby had man-flu though Wink

Bunnygirlie · 15/03/2013 22:31

Frogcatcher · 15/03/2013 22:33

Man flu & sky sports. Make them compulsory for all teenage boys & watch teenage pregnancy rates plummet. Pip you have my condolences.

Boodleandherpotofwonderfulness · 15/03/2013 22:40

Yes, Bunny! Only one truly worth watching!

Bunnygirlie · 15/03/2013 22:45

I live in a rugby city so I can't escape it lol

I'm here. been on the sofa all evening with hubby watching breaking dawn. we like the twilight saga but my god, they do it once and she's instadiffed. But at least she doesn't have the perfect glowing pregnancy like everyone else in the media everywhere.
BTW, it's Dh's birthday and I have AF. bloody typical that!

SidneyBristow · 15/03/2013 23:06

Sick here too Sad

barkingtreefrog · 15/03/2013 23:07

I was having such a massive pity party earlier this evening that I texted a friend who lives nearby and invited myself to her house for a good rant. My bad day got worse so I thought it not a good idea to be home alone all evening after a whole day of feeling sick and miserable on my own. Had managed to reduce myself to tears and not manage to shake myself out of it after a horrible incident in the park with the dog and me not knowing what to do. Got strange cramps as well. Wouldn't normally be getting period cramps two days before I'm due but I'm having such a crap week it could well be my luteal phase is going to be shorter than average, which would make it 7 days if AF came tomorrow. I PIMPed on a double dye anyway just so I wouldn't go to bed wondering if it would have been positive had I done one. Bfn, goes without saying really...
I'd like to just delete this week from memory, it started bad and got progressively worse. I actually want AF to get here ASAP so I can snap out of this weird mood I'm in and focus ahead on the fertility appointment instead.

Sorry, that was a bit of a ramble/pity speech. I promise I'll have snapped out of it by Sunday....

Boodle can I be a co - duchess? :-)

Tallyra · 15/03/2013 23:10

hugs barking !!!!!

Bunnygirlie · 15/03/2013 23:12

Oh dear barking we've all had days like that and it's usually the witches fault

Hope you and the pooch are ok Flowers

OP posts:
Boodleandherpotofwonderfulness · 15/03/2013 23:16

Of course you can be a 'co-duchess'! Anything to cheer you up as you sound like you have had a crappy day/week. I hope whatever happened with park/dog is OK now?

Goodness, everyone is ill this evening.

Bunnygirlie · 15/03/2013 23:25

Was it me, mine is just about going after a week and a half, Soz.

Boodleandherpotofwonderfulness · 15/03/2013 23:29

Oh, Bunny...a bouquet of sausages...how, erm...original! Wink

Is this you?

barkingtreefrog · 15/03/2013 23:32

Thanks for the sympathy although I'm just being a whinging bitch and don't deserve it
Dog is fine, it was him that was the problem Sad. He is usually very friendly and I don't ever have to worry about him with other dogs apart from him being the one attacked occasionally (it's happened three times but he's never been properly hurt) but this puppy ran towards him and the next thing I knew he had this puppy pinned to the floor and was barking at it. Don't know if/what the puppy did, but I was mortified. He didn't hurt it in any way and as soon as I shouted his name he looked up and I dragged him away by his collar but obviously the puppy and the owner were not happy. I was feeling shit and not with it so rather than concentrating on the best way to handle the behaviour (other than apologising profusely to the owner and checking their dog was ok) I just put him on the lead then burst into tears and called DP. Who was singularly unhelpful as he just pointed out that instead of crying about it and calling him I should have marched the dog straight home. I'm still mortified that my dog could have done that, he's the dog that friends with small puppies have used as socialisation because he's so gentle with them when they're being annoying puppies! Doesn't make sense.
Anyway. Will deal with it all a lot better when I'm not feeling ill/exhausted/ waiting for AF to show.

Getting off 'tinterweb now in case boodle is right about the lurgy.

Random fact, did you know the word lurgy originates from a Spike Milligan sketch?

Boodleandherpotofwonderfulness · 15/03/2013 23:39

Sad Barking, not a dog owner and never have been so can only offer my sympathies.

I like the random fact. I enjoy things like that .

Tallyra · 16/03/2013 00:01

I can completely sympathise barking. I have a gorgeous beautiful friendly dog but he did that sort of thing to a friend's dog that wouldn't stop annoying him. I was mortified and quite scared but I'm pretty sure it was just to put the dog in his place and shut him up. scary noises he makes too.

don't worry yourself to much, I'm sure it's just horrible Auntie doing this to you.
xxx

now to wake Dh up off the sofa and drag him to bed without him snapping at me....

Frogcatcher · 16/03/2013 07:54

Morning all hope everyone feeling a bit more cheerful this morning & the lurgi & AF have done their worst. Of course I fell asleep before DP came to bed so woke up in a panic a couple of hours later & had to persuade him to DTD. I'm trying to avoid telling him when shag week is in order to avoid any pressure. He'll probably realise tho Wink
Anyway thought I'd share classic DP quote:
DP: that one definitely made a baby
Me: why do you say that?
DP: because I was so hard
Me: if only it was that simple babe!

Men!

No chance of a double DTD today as he's on a course all day & already left Sad

CatsCantFlyFast · 16/03/2013 08:57

Snort at your OH frog. My DH used to try and convince me he had 'super sperm'! Well done on a successful start to shag week

Bunnygirlie · 16/03/2013 10:07

boodle that bouquet is horrible!!!

frog your OH is hilarious! Grin

OP posts:
Boodleandherpotofwonderfulness · 16/03/2013 10:27

You're the one giving the bouquets out, Bunny! Wink

Grin at 'Because I was so hard.' - inevitable conception, surely?

Still lurgy-ridden here, and AF still being a mild to moderate pain in the proverbial.

ILoveMyCats · 16/03/2013 10:38

Just waltzing in to say hi. Had a quiet one last night waiting for DH to get back from work trip. Looking for healthy lifestyle options today. Have read the 5:2 diet book & it says not to do it if ttc. Disappointing. Want to start doing more exercise, but not sure if it's safe while ttc....any thoughts? I do very little apart from the odd walk, but have a gym membership burning a hole in my pocket.

Going to start temping tomorrow. Could I trick the cbfm & start that too, do you think?

Going against the healthy stuff for a mo...have you tried double chocolate digestives? They are lovely and I'm sure would help with af & lurgy. There were 2 packs in the staff room yesterday. Didn't last long.

Tallyra · 16/03/2013 10:48

Right guys. I'm slightly confused and, well, even more confused. Migraines are normal for me, but not to the feeling sick extent of yesterday. But the migraine's back again today (not the nausea though). So I decided to do a hcg test with fmu as I'd been holding it so long while I get rid of the migraine. I got a line. I think. is incredibly faint, and as I poas, not pimped, I couldn't confirm it. I actually dipped another into the loo, but it didn't come up with anything.
anyone heard of false positives due to migraine or migraine meds? AF has just finished, last night.

Tallyra · 16/03/2013 10:50

BTW cats, exercise is fine in moderation. I think it's obsessive exercise they are worried about.

Tallyra · 16/03/2013 10:56

I've uploaded a photo in my gallery, hopefully. I'm off to walk the dog while I wait and seer what you think.
