Oh i know i feel shitty when someone else gets anything that might resemble a BFP. It's that "why isn't it me" feeling and all of that. Its horrible. (At least i'm not an instadiffer) Grin
To be honest I was pretty sure last night because of the pain that carried on until I fell asleep so was a bit fucked off when the first line was barely visible this morning. I am going to try to ignore it as its soooo early (yes my fault for pimping so early) and don't want to get my hopes up.

I don't feel pissed off when fellow thread mates get good news. RL people, yes but not those who I know are struggling and worrying the same as me! I am much more guarded than a lot of people though- I was like that anyway but the mc made it worse. So I see every small success as wonderful but just a small step in a long upward journey.

Not to bring you down though, a line is undoubtedly a bloody fantastic thing!

OMG I told you Merkin it's the law of Sod at work! That is so exciting. I couldn't look at the pic too long (open plan office!) but if you can see a line then I believe you!

I'm not jealous at all as everyone on here deserves it. If it happens to me in the next couple of months then I will take all the abuse you can hurl at me for joining & then graduating v quickly. I very much doubt it will. I honestly have been trying since Oct/Nov time though so I'm not an instadiffer!

Temp was up slightly today so no sign of pre-O dip. Will be PO my OPK later as they say not to do it first thing & I'm not carrying them to work with me!

Frog i got really confused by whether to use FMU with OPK's on not (after reading on the packet that i shouldn't) and did a lot of googling about it. I then spend 3 days peeing on 4 or 5 a day at different times to see the effect. Basically no difference, other than towards the peak of my surge where the line was getting darker during the day (as expected as my surge went up) and it got lighter during the day after surge. I would say just find a single time and stick to it (so I ended up using first morning urine after all) and then towards O date I used 2 or 3 a day to make sure I didn't miss my surge as it was normally a pretty shorted lived thing!

Ok thanks Merkin. I've decided to do FAHITEU (First At Home in the Evening) as I usually go pretty soon after I get in from work. I'm always in such a rush in the mornings that PIMP would be just one more thing too many to do!

Also forgot to say, write down every single thing you did this cycle that may have done the trick, what days you DTD/how often, etc and report back - this cycle might find me doing the whole legs in the air thing, I have no shame left, and will do anything to get it right!! Leave nothing out! That's an order, lady! Wink

Sidney i can 100% guarantee you it was not a healthy diet that did it as I had not yet gone on the wagon and had quite a drinky month! I also generally have a poorish diet (high in sugar and salt and I drink loads of tea Blush. I did some complex chart calculations I did at the beginning of my cycle and expected to O on CD17 and therefore started the sex on CD13 (after reading somewhere that sperm had to go through a process after ejaculation that can take 1 - 4 days for them to be mature enough to fertilise an egg) I will believe anything I read at times (It made me wonder if previously we'd been having sex too close to O to be successful). Am afraid to say this month was probably the most sex we've had, only missing 1 day between 5 days before O, O day and 1DPO (I stole that bright idea from the instadiffer who had so much sex I was in awe). Used preseed every time (which is a first - was hit and miss how often I used it in previous cycles) and a bit more than usual (even though I hate the feeling of the stuff). I occasionally am a legs in the air afterwards kind of girl but this month couldn't be bothered (too cold in the bedroom to have my legs stuck in the air) so went for the alternative pillow under the bum method so my hips were raised and went to sleep like that without getting up. Got to be honest - TMI warning - it made a difference, i would get up on a morning and it was clearly all still inside me (whereas previously had noticed lots of leakage in the night).
But despite all that I think it's just luck. I am putting all of my luck in a big pile on the Elderberry sofa so please help yourself to lots of it!

With regards to the pillow under bum, my GP actually suggested this. I questioned if it was just a myth she shrugged and said it can't hurt can it?

I should be due Sunday but as I OVd late I'm expecting AF to be late. DP is away until Sunday so don't really want to test til he gets back but I probably will Been feeling so rough for the last week though it'll be a miracle if I am upduffed!!
