Entrant criteria: TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, OPK & EWCM obsession, NO instadiffers. (Thread 6)

Yey Merkin < joins in weird little dance>
Mines back down to what it was before I got ill. It's confusing the hell out of FF though!
Good luck to everyone who has interviews, docs and anything else today!

CatsCantFlyFast · 11/03/2013 08:18

Ffucker now has loads of pregnancy charts that look like mine! Yey! I still get to PIMP (from Friday onwards)!

Bunnygirlie · 11/03/2013 08:28

Lol merkin

CD16 here (29day cycle) anybody in my gang?

DTD day 13 and 15 which is the best we've managed in months and months, not sure when I O'd as had negative opk thurs/sat/sun forgot to do one Friday so who know sic we're in with a chance this month. I'm feeling positive coz hubby seems to have found his mojo but being a naturally pessimistic person I won't be poas early! Maybe I need to be more positive!

Bunny i am so pleased for you both. Bet you are dancing with glee too!

cherrycoconut · 11/03/2013 08:35

frog if anyone over 30 did manage to DTD every 2 days for a whole month they prob wouldn't have the energy to come on here and tell us about it Wink my DH lasts for aaaages these days. Shagging has become a marathon. Esp now it's no longer only acceptable for me to come when we need his goods!

Yay for you Merkin mine was maintaining a warmish 97.2-97.5 but has plummeted to 96.8 this morning?

CatsCantFlyFast · 11/03/2013 08:48

ooh cherry could that be a sign of O??
More sausage Morris dancing ensues!

CatsCantFlyFast · 11/03/2013 08:49

Bunny think Thunder is your cycle buddy

twinklestar2 · 11/03/2013 09:02

Frog - I have tried the eod all month method. Didn't work :( but then we have a male factor problem. Have you tried SMEP plan? Hard work but it covers all bases.

cherrycoconut · 11/03/2013 09:02

Oh Merkin you've no idea how wonderful that would be! Only patchy CM though for the last week. It doesn't feel enough to coincide with the big O. I'd be swinging sausages from the rooftops if it was though!

...pauses to consider whether to get up hopes and PIMP or just brush it off as more of the same weird see-sawing I seem to get in my no-mans land of charts...

Bunny yay for Mr Bunny's returning mojo I'll sausage Morris dance to that too!

cherrycoconut · 11/03/2013 09:15

Dishes out sausage survivors badge to twinkle

Frogcatcher · 11/03/2013 09:39

Blimey Twinkle I just googled the SMEP plan & I don't think we'd be DTD because I'd be too stressed from working out whether we were supposed to be DTD or not!! Also I don't know yet if we have a male factor problem or not. He has one child but that was 9 years ago, he's now over 40 & easily drinks more than the NICE guidelines with the odd fag thrown in! In order to avoid offending the male ego & therefore have half a chance of DTD my cunning plan is to check as far as I can that all my bits are in order i.e. OPKs, temping etc before suggesting trips to the dr for both of us. I'm desperately hoping that the only problem is that my cycle has not been v regular since coming off the pill last yr so I don't know when I O yet so we've just not been DTD at the right time. I think Cherry may have just set me a challenge though to try EOD & survive...

A lot of positivity, mojos, great temps and sausage dancing on here today - let's hope it's contagious & we get a bumper crop of BFP this cycle!!!

Tallyra · 11/03/2013 11:18

Just got to work after my appointment and I really don't know what to feel at the moment. The GP was very sympathetic about it all and basically agreed to everything I said. The swab came back negative so it's not an infection as far as they know, so she's going to refer me to a specialist. The trouble is, she said we shouldn't ttc until they have seen me, and they won't even get the referral for a month, then they have to make me an appointment. I don't know if I can cope mentally with the idea that we shouldn't try for so long. I did tell her this, and she said 'well, you are 33, I'll try and impress that on them'. So all in all, it was good, but not ttc for over a month??????

Frogcatcher · 11/03/2013 11:42

Oh Tally not sure what to say. Did they explain why you can't TTC in the meantime? Maybe one of the other berries could advise better as I don't know much about mmc investigation. Perhaps they do some exams that they can't do if you are pg? A month or two is not sooo long really & I would go with it if it is going to help in the long term. 33 is not so old from my perspective. You're still 2 years off the magic number of 35 when fertility is really supposed to drop off a cliff & yet most of my friends (35+) seem to have upduffed really easily. I think i really am the odd one out (tho obvs as no one openly talks about it you have no idea really).

Itsalwaysraining · 11/03/2013 12:23

Twink, wasn't your husband's morphology 3%? My DH's is 3% but he managed to get me pregnant last year. Weird, innit.

Comparing shag graphs would all but finish my poor fella. He knows full well we should be having more sex but there are very delicate issues of ejaculatory fails in our house and I have no desire to remind him how often you lot are shagging. Suspenders are good. I have some enbarrassingly frou-frou knickers (very kitsch) which I slide on from time-to-time; too often and they become as familiar as the dish cloth.

Merkin, good luck today, darling. Please will you post a link to your chart? I'm intrigued.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DARLING BOYFRIEND!! Thanks [flexes jaw ready for birthday blowjob this evening]

Itsalwaysraining · 11/03/2013 12:24

Twink, I meant my DP not my DH! [wishful thinking]

Itsalwaysraining · 11/03/2013 12:35

Tally, I'm sorry you've been told to wait. The specialist will want to test you for high NK (killer) cells which attack an implanted embryo causing it to abort. Don't be alarmed; this might prove not to be the case but it's actually very important you don't get pregnant in the meantime to save a lot of anguish. I'm so glad she's sending you to a specialist; that's a really positive step forward. Knowledge Is Power Smile

Itsalwaysraining · 11/03/2013 12:37

Why are you sausage morris dancing when you clearly need to be celebrating risen temps with the Sausage Shuffle?

In other news I'm off to tackle them there hills in my new trainers Smile

CatsCantFlyFast · 11/03/2013 13:42

Can you tackle some hills for me please? Interview went well, find out this afternoon (have put them under some time pressure for a quick decision). So very shortly may no longer be able to doss on here all day....

Raining & Tally I've got to say it sounds a bit weird to ask someone to stop TTC in case there is something wrong. Why don't we all just stop / never start trying until they have ran loads of tests on us then??

Frogcatcher · 11/03/2013 14:01

You can't go to work Merkin - who would then supply us on demand with the best links to OPKs & other TTC paraphernalia?! FX though for good news.

One of my colleagues openly admits to having been TTC for 7 years before it happened. She moved jobs thereby losing all her rights to enhanced maternity pay (but saying goodbye to a lot of stress too apparently) & hey presto! She was upduffed but broke.

Just out of curiosity have any of the sausage graduates had twins? I know we'd all just be grateful to be pg with 1 but it is supposed to be more common to older women over 30 with or without IVF.

Tallyra · 11/03/2013 14:38

I have to say, it does make some kind of peverted sense to me to stop, just doesn't make sense to my baby wanting bit. I definitely don't want to go through another hyperemesis session knowing that they haven't investigated the mmc part and that I could yet again get to 9 weeks after being in hospital for the last 2 of them. I don't want to go through it again needlessly. I don't want to go through it again at all if I can help it, but in my case it seems that it's the only way to come out of it the other end as a mother. Just makes me want to scream
WHY DIDN'T YOU DO THIS AFTER I MCD BACK IN JULY AND INSTEAD WAIT FOR ME TO INITIATE IT???????? I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT ELSE I COULD DO, YOU STUPID PEOPLE!
Sorry, shouting rant over. had to do something or I'd have done it here at work in the middle of the boys locker room. (Only because that's where my office is, not for any other really odd and disturbing reason).

Frogcatcher · 11/03/2013 14:52

to Tally Makes me want to get on a bit of a feminist ranting horse & maintain that this kind of thing wouldn't happen if men had to give birth. Doctors would take them seriously straightaway & tests would be automatic rather than something you had to beg for. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

CatsCantFlyFast · 11/03/2013 15:37

Tally have some Biscuit and Wine and Thanks you're in a shit position, sorry.

In better news (beware of the giant brag) I got the job. My last 4 days of daytime MN-ing with the berries Sad

Tallyra · 11/03/2013 15:42

Congratulations Merkin!!

I'm OK now. Just annoyed. At least I can sneak onto MN and vent when I need to Grin

CatsCantFlyFast · 11/03/2013 15:54

Thats what we're here for Tally!

Frogcatcher · 11/03/2013 16:06

Congrats Merkin!

I can provide more berry support during the day at work than I can in the evenings! (see previous comments about DP's suspicions re extra-marital (if we were actually married) activity due to compulsive phone use!).

Glad you feeling a bit better Tally.
