Me first this time. Smile

It may only be May 4th, but I'm out for this month (although technically AF due 30th May - I just like starting new threads).

Was out for family trip today whilst in car dh asked about my "mucous" (apparently had been on a website at work) chatted a bit about it forgetting ds and dd in back of car...later in day dd sneezed producing copious amounts of snot which my dh quickly started to mop up in a tissue... ds piped up "feel it daddy because if its all eggy shes ready"...didnt click for a while then dh and me couldnt stop laughing!

Sexonlegs · 27/05/2006 19:42

Hi all, just dropping by to see how you all are. On CD8 today, so preparing for the big bd session, although feel really knackered tonight.

Pussycat, your post had me in tears of laughter; such a vivid image! Has he fixed it back up?

Anyway, hope everyone enjoys their Saturday night, whatever they may be up to.

Hopecat · 27/05/2006 21:33

lol hairycaterpillar. Your ds will be better educated than most women in the sticky world of ttc (If he works out eventually which mucus you meant). That's really funny.

mummy2jake - right where you're at. I've got tests as well.

We will be strong.

mazzystar · 27/05/2006 21:54

may i join you?

started trying this month but my instinct tells me no joy (i am pre-menstrual as hell, poor, poor DH).

we have one ds who is 19 months. i have forgotten all the science about when is the best time etc.

flowertot · 28/05/2006 08:49

Well I don't seem to be able to get DH to bd with me at all. Feeling really low. Doesn't seem to make a difference if its right time or not, he seems to have lost interest totally. Promised him lovely bath candles bubbles etc. He thought it sounded lovely til it came to it and he couldn't be bothered. Wanted to spend the evening drinking cocktails instead. I give up. If he's not even interested in making love for intimacy sake then theres not much point in trying to make a baby

maazaa · 28/05/2006 09:03

Hey Flowertot - I'm sorry things didn't go to plan.....is your dh feeling pressured? I know my dh does the bear retreating into the cave thing when he feels under pressure and the more I do, the worse it gets until he comes round of his own accord. I have worried that my interest in bding has increased tenfold since ttc and it must be annoying for him that I want to more now I have an ulterior motive. Is that what's happening to you?

Hopecat · 28/05/2006 12:14

Welcome Mazzystar - sorry to hear you're feeling prementrual. Which CD (Cycle Day) are you on?

I'm on CD26 and think I've got PMT as well. Snapped at DH for no reason this morning. Well, there was a reason, but he's always like that so it wouldn't usually make me snap.

So sorry to hear you're feeling blue flowertot.

I know we all say 'don't pressure the poor delicate flowers', and usually that's good advice, but does your DH know about ovulation times? Have you discussed with him the ins and outs of the process? Men tend to have quite analytical minds, and I reckon they need to understand the science.

My DH is never allowed to get away with passive-aggressive behaviour like that. (Yes, I am a scary woman sometimes). Suggested reading: 'Families and How to Survive Them' by Dr Robyn Skynner and John Cleese. Makes everything clear.

By the way mazzystar, here's our \link{http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk?topicid=1366&threadid=142873&stamp=060527214651\stats thread} (so you can see how old we all are and tell us how old you are)!

TuttiFrutti · 28/05/2006 13:58

Flowertot, you have my sympathy. Dh is sometimes like this so I know how depressing it can be. Men like to always feel that they are the ones in control, so sometimes ideas/suggestions from the woman will be rejected just because they didn't originate from the conquering hero. I haven't got any suggestions really, just sympathy...

Sexonlegs · 28/05/2006 14:28

Afternoon ladies. Flowertot, sorry to hear you are down today. As echoed on this thread, I think dh's feel over pressured sometimes - I know mine does - even though he too wants to be pg as much as I do.

On that subject... I was CD8 yesterday, so we were all set to BD. Enjoying some foreplay - (sorry I know, tmi), and I realised that I was bleeding quite heavily. Obviously had to stop everything.

Bleeding has stopped, and wasn't actually as heavy as I had first thought, but still scared me.

Has anyone else had this? I had no pain or anything.

Thank you xx

Sexonlegs · 28/05/2006 16:49

Anyone there? Have I done something to piss people off on here? Is it the name Sexonlegs - cos that is sooooo tongue in cheek and relates to someone else.
Sorry feeling really low and snappy.

bobblehead · 28/05/2006 17:21

Hi SexonlegsSmile
Only posted once before on this thread as it seems long and intimidating!
Sorry, no idea about your bleeding but didn't want you to feel ignored. How long ago did af finish? Could it just be some old blood dislodged by your "activities"?

mummy2jake · 28/05/2006 17:23

sexon legs im here for a bit then will be back later after ds bath and bed. sorry your feeling down the bleeding would of scared me too well i couldnt wait and stupidly tested his morning and then as i had to get ds breakfast forgot to check after the 3 mins.
when i remembered 20 mins later there was a line the same width and colour as the test line it was definetly rose pink which was what the leaflet said it should but as it was so long after testing before i looked am don`t no what to think too scared too test again incase its bfn sorry this is long

Sexonlegs · 28/05/2006 18:39

Hi Bobblehead. AF finished on thursday or Friday, but the blood was pretty fresh looking (sorry tmi), but gladly short-lived.
Have been feeling awful today though. Was really sick at 6.30 a.m., feel really weak and really weepy.
Mum to Jake, that all sounds promising. Fingers crossed!! xx

mazzystar · 28/05/2006 19:03

hello sexonlegs. i have had some bleeding like that on two occasions in the past. went immediately to docs as petrified, but turned out to be cervical polyp - apparently very common, absolutely harmless and easily removed though fine to leave be.

mummytojake, that sounds great. let us know!

i am a bit unsure exactly where i am in my cycle. but i THINK AF due today or tommorrow. I think we may have slightly missed the window this month, lots of conflicting info on the web about your most fertile days...

Hopecat · 28/05/2006 19:40

Wow mummy2jake - that sounds really hopeful.

Test again tomorrow morning with first wee - that's when you're likely to get the most acurate result testing this early.

I'm not going to test unless I miss my AF - not feeling that hopeful this month.

Do you have any symptoms?

sexonlegs - sorry to hear about the bleeding. Are/were you in pain? If it's an isolated incident I probably wouldn't worry about it.

Are you sure you're not PG? I know you've just had AF, but maybe you should test just in case.

OP posts:
Sexonlegs · 28/05/2006 19:57

Hi there, not sure if pg- dh asked that as well. I suppose there is no harm in testing. Can't see that I am as have not had any other pg symptoms, but who knows - the body plays mysterious tricks on us doesn't it!

Hopecat, no pain thankfully, just a bit frightening. I think am going to keep a log of stuff to see the GP about, as not sure things are as they should be. Fingers crossed that af stays away.

trace2 · 28/05/2006 20:05

hopecat i never had any symptoms except really painful boobs at work on yesterday.

wannaBe1974 · 28/05/2006 22:20

hiya all :)

MummyToJake it's looking good for you .. congrats! :)

Sexonlegs did you have a normal af? if not is it possible you could be pg? worth doing a test just to be sure?

Trace wb and sorry to hear about your af. Not sure if you've read updates - my af arrived last Monday so not pg after all :(. thyroid result was normal so have to bak to see if we can find out what's up. giving up now pretty much, although me and dh had a long chat last night and he doesn't want us to give up totally but at least wants us to have tests to try and find out what's wrong, more to give it closure than anything else I think.

Sexonlegs · 29/05/2006 07:57

Hi Wannabe, and really sorry to hear about af and the probs you are havig. I really hope thing are resolved for you.
AF was normal I thnk, but tbh cannot remember, so may do a test just to put mind at rest.
Hope everyone is well, and enjoys the BH.
Cx

flowertot · 29/05/2006 09:49

Congats Mumto jake. fab news!
Thanks everyone for your comments. Yes Hubby feeling the pressure and I do admit its my fault. Will have a look for that book though sounds like a good read. Am trying to chill out with him and sure things will get back on track. Have just bought some ovulation predictor sticks. Not convinced myself but its something we can sort of do together maybe to make him feel more involved. Thats if they work x

Sexonlegs · 29/05/2006 10:50

Hi flowertot, welcome back.
Just to say I did a test today, and it was neg as I thought it would be, but had to put my mind at rest. Ho hum.
Slightly nervous about bd'ing after bleeding the other night (sorry tmi again). But, it is the right time and one must blank it all out. DH off to a stag do though tonight in Holland, so will need to be patient!
Onwards and upwards ladies.

trace2 · 29/05/2006 11:11

congrats mummy2jake, line is a line

wanbe, so sorry, i didnt read the weeks posts, how are you? i too are thinking of giving up, me and dh have had a good chat last week, its so heart distorying with all the trying and not getting anywhere, ive been trying now for 16 months, and in all that time every month you wish its going to be a bfp, then af arrives, i have ds too like you, and think i have him, where some havent got any, i should be so greatfull( i am) but when youn want some thing soooooooooo much it hurts like hell! i keep saying that i will relax and just wait till it happens, but it never works like that, now am 40 my time is running out,

i hope each and every one of us gets our babies soon!

sorry for the rantxxxxx
