It is a fact universally acknowledged that a woman in her thirties in possession of a ticking biological clock MUST be in want of a baybee.

The former thread proved full of sadness and most vexatious disappointments, wherefore we know not :(. Therefore the BESH will be donning their empire dresses and enlisting the assistance of Captain Wentworth and his admirable breeches and Mr Darcy smouldering damply in his transparent white shirt both of whom with their pleasing countenances and sound judgements and enormous fortunes, in short both of whom are everything a young man ought to be in the expectation that happier times may be ahead for the BESH.

No idea! And there is no snow.

Oh. Holy. Jesus.

I just phoned to complain. Apparently I cannot read a calendar. It's tomorrow, not today BlushBlushBlush

Told you I was an utter fuckwit. How on earth am I going to cope with stabbing? I'm not thick - I have a 2:1 degree from a RG university

EuroShaggleton · 12/03/2013 14:11

Heh. Brilliant. can you give Mr Rie your injecting schedule so he can check up on you? Wink

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 12/03/2013 14:21

If you knew him, you wouldn't dare suggest that :)

The man can take an engine apart and put it together again, lecture in pelagic biology, chart a course for crossing the Atlantic, wire in complicated electronics and so on, but in so many ways is bafflingly stupid.

Which coming from me is a bit rich.

RaspberrySnowCone · 12/03/2013 14:22

deep breath Rie calm yourself. You will be fine with the stabbing, it'll all be fine once the drucks arrive.

It's very quiet around here. I've been napping intermittently and now need more chocolate but we only have 90% cocoa in the house and I need proper milk chocolate sugar fat cow rush chocolate, not smug antioxidant containing chocolate.

I'm feeling strangely inclined to watch OBEM on 4oD. That's a bad idea isn't it. Did anyone watch the last series? Are there any BESH type grads who would fill me with positivity?

EuroShaggleton · 12/03/2013 14:30

Rasp I went through a stage of watching OBEM with my laptop on my lab, hoping my lady bits would catch on to what they were supposed to be doing Confused. It didn't work.

Rie in that case my love, you are fvked. Wink

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 12/03/2013 14:51

Great quote. I don't like worthy chocolate either. Give me Cadbury's any day.

OP posts:
RaspberrySnowCone · 12/03/2013 15:09

Don't get me wrong, I like dark chocolate, not for the smug factor so much as it doesn't make me feel sick like cadbury's does. But as I'm not feeling well I just want cadbury's. Im stuck though because MATV is without phone at the moment as he's swapping phones and vodafone have fucked up his sim/number so he doesn't have one. Do we think it acceptable to ring him at work and request that he bring me chocolate home?

Watching OBEM - what happened next and have just had greek yoghurt with oats, honey and bluberries. Tis not chocolate :(

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 12/03/2013 20:40

Of course you can ask for chocolate over a work phone. Duh! Did you?

Rie you make me smile. You'll be fine with the drucks. I am sure of it (I was a bit slapdash and crap the last cancelled cycle because I got blasé about it) but just tick them off a list or set your alarm clock.

The firth-adaptation is clearly the best ever. I got to that speech last night. The one with:
should I rejoice in relations who's position in life is so decidedly below my own?
:) more to come tomorrow. SB has put a tv ban in place as he's working but wants to be near me Hmm

Bessie123 · 12/03/2013 21:48

euro if it helps, all of us on the first BESH threads ended up with baybees, I think except one Sad. A few of us now have 2...

EuroShaggleton · 12/03/2013 21:53

At the end of the first disk, drizz? Brilliant.

Thanks Bessie. That is encouraging. Bizarrely, I feel more optimistic about ttc now than I have for a while. After trying Letrozole, IUI, the old fashioned way (lots) and a disastrous encounter with downregging, we've found something that works for us. And it actually worked. The embryo was a duffer, but the method seems to be sound for us. So tomorrow we will be calling the clinic to see when we can come in to discuss the next cycle. :)

TWinklyLittleStar · 12/03/2013 21:56

I have my fingers crossed for you euro

rie am sure you'll be fine with the drugs

I have had a mini bar of Green & Blacks 70%. It was good, but it is an entirely different foodstuff to dairy milk. Yum.

maamalady · 12/03/2013 22:03

Thanks, euro, it is indeed quite promising and nice to feel like progress is being made (albeit slowly). And hurrah for you feeling positive about TTC too, having a method that can work is a huge thing :)

Despite relatively good news, it's all a bit stressful - HOTB and I are shattered and going to sleep already. Goodnight all!

TWinklyLittleStar · 12/03/2013 22:06

Night night draf, hope you sleep well despite the stress, and it is stressful, even though it is positive too.

TWinklyLittleStar · 12/03/2013 22:08

Did anyone see today that kerry bloody katona has gone on a "getting pregnant" holiday with her latest poor choice of a boyfriend? Bet she does get diffed too Angry

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 12/03/2013 22:08

Night night

OP posts:
ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 12/03/2013 22:09

Why oh why oh why would you publicise that?

OP posts:
TWinklyLittleStar · 12/03/2013 22:11

Me or her? Me - because I wanted to share the rage. Her - because she is a washed up, talentless fame addict who has nothing more to offer than her car crash personal life, I suppose.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 12/03/2013 22:12

No HER you wally! I agree with every word. She's a deeply sad individual.

OP posts:
ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 12/03/2013 22:13

What's the betting if she doesn't get diffed in weeks there will be numerous "My Infertility Agony" articles in Take A Break.

OP posts:
TWinklyLittleStar · 12/03/2013 22:15

No bookie would offer you odds on that, its a dead cert.

I bloody love Take A Break, nothing like a read through it to make me feel much better about my own life.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 12/03/2013 22:17

rie you're not one of Charlie's Angels at all, you're a Take A Break journo! Grin (and I did actually laugh out loud at those)

EuroShaggleton · 12/03/2013 22:21

Rie, you missed your vocation.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 12/03/2013 22:23

Maybe we should have a Take A Break feem.
