Conception

When's the best time to get pregnant? Use our interactive ovulation calculator to work out when you're most fertile and most likely to conceive.

It is a fact universally acknowledged that a woman in her thirties in possession of a ticking biological clock MUST be in want of a baybee.

The former thread proved full of sadness and most vexatious disappointments, wherefore we know not :(. Therefore the BESH will be donning their empire dresses and enlisting the assistance of Captain Wentworth and his admirable breeches and Mr Darcy smouldering damply in his transparent white shirt both of whom with their pleasing countenances and sound judgements and enormous fortunes, in short both of whom are everything a young man ought to be in the expectation that happier times may be ahead for the BESH.

I know, its obvious to see by looking at me that its not something that happens very often! I did feel fucking horrendous this time round. All better and greedy again now!

RaspberrySnowCone · 11/03/2013 19:10

God all I want to do when droid arrives is eat!

If MATV wasn't into diet/nutrition like he is there is no way if have done it on my own. I'm just a sheep really :)

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 11/03/2013 19:11

I am a size 12/14 and think I look well although I have enormous thighs (rowing, running, cycling, not a good combo). I am eating biscuits (found some I made over the weekend) and drinking tea. Dinner is overrated...

TWinklyLittleStar · 11/03/2013 19:11

HWCA is, shall we say, a big fan of our lovely sofa :) and I too am a bit of a sheep.

HWCA's friends have dogs, and they didn't get walked the whole time we were there. I have to say, I rather seriously Judge that, even though I know Judging is the MN number 1 crime. (I won't even start on how spoilt their kid is...)

I'm with you in the judging non walking dog owners btw.

TWinklyLittleStar · 11/03/2013 19:24

When I was 17 and got home at 4am drunk from clubbing, I still got up at 7 to take my lovely lady for her morning walk. Twice daily, every day, without fail, whatever the weather - except the day when it was raining so hard the dog refused to go out Grin

Mmmmm I'd love to have a dog just so we could walk it although the thought of a six am start to walk it before work in the rain and dark makes my heart sink a bit. Hence we do not own a doggie. We are out of the house for about 9 hrs a day too, I wouldn't want a dog to be left alone that long.

JethroTull · 11/03/2013 19:28

Rasp SSG & I were cleaning up dog sick last night & a kitchen floor covered in poo this morning. I was wondering why we got a dog then!

Mr Collins: My reasons for marrying Grin
I love and hate him in equal measures.
Ignoring exercise and dog talk for now...

The reason the biscuits were still here because there were stray pumpkin seeds in them Hmm

TWinklyLittleStar · 11/03/2013 19:32

jeff all the sick and poo will be good practice for you Grin

I pulled my nephew's nappy by the waistband the other day to see if he had poo'd. He had, right up to the top of his nappy so I got shit all over my hand. Vom.

Twink fatal error...

I have no opinion on sick or dogs. I am happy to leave that discussion to you...

RaspberrySnowCone · 11/03/2013 19:53

Oh god it's time to panick time again. Watching a programme about antibiotics. WE'RE ALL DOOMED!!!! Doomed I tell thee.

FriendofDorothy · 11/03/2013 20:10

I have been lying in the bath stewing on this because it made me upset so I just want to say it and get it over with.

When popping onto the BESH thread since having The Little Mister I have been oh so very careful about what I have and haven't said. I remember too well what it felt like to see smug differs and want to punch them in the face just for mentioning their precious baybee.

What is hard though is to ask me not be be proud and delighted about my boy on a totally different forum. I am so, so conscious (see my comment on my pic on MD if you aren't clear on my thoughts on this one) every time I post something that I run the risk of picking a scab for one of my friends, but I also have family and friends who live in t USA, South America, Europe and mainland England who want to know and want to see.

I am 100% not a smug differ but I am totally proud of my boy and that is different.

I am so sorry if that is painful. I so remember it and I take nothing for granted. The ESH have bee massively supportive over the years and I would hate to have to leave on bad terms.

So, at this point I want to move on.

Thanks (feels a bit like I have just ended a Party Political Broadcast or something!)

EuroShaggleton · 11/03/2013 20:26

Rasp that sounds interesting. One of my bugbears is the increased use of prophylactic antibiotics. I was given them for my HSG and EC (didn't take either - would happily have taken antibiotics if I had developed an infection but I'm unconvinced by plonking them in your system "just in case"). A friend was recently told her baby had to take them to be catheterised for some tests. He kept vomming them up so hadn't had them when she turned up at the appointment so they refused to do the procedure. She's a paeds dr at the same hospital and has catheterised many children there herself. New procedure introduced in the last couple of months while she was on mat leave, apparently.

FinallyMrsFC · 11/03/2013 20:37

I thought of you all yesterday. Particularly you rie. I did post one Mothers Day related status but it was more gushy about the FC than my children.

I thought all the pictures of flowers and cards and breakfasts were more than nauseating, if I'm honest.

I don't post in here often, but I'm a true ESH, and I think of you all loads. north and euro, I think you are both braver than Brave McBrave.

RaspberrySnowCone · 11/03/2013 20:41

I used to be put on antibiotics from Oct-Feb every year for about 5 years because drs were worried about me getting chest infections during the cold snaps! I then moved consultant and he stopped it. I did get infections but not as many as they thought they were preventing.

I was also surprised at the amount of antibiotics they use with animals and how that ends up affecting our immunity too. MATV has just advised that this is why his dad (farmer) wont really eat chicken, because of all animals they tend to be pumped full of all sorts because they are always ill. Confused

FinallyMrsFC · 11/03/2013 20:42

I meant to Blush after admitting my status was more about the FC!

RaspberrySnowCone · 11/03/2013 20:42

FC?
